Alec raised an eyebrow at the apparent and palpable sense of contention that came from Kerana at the mention of her parents. He was about to ask why when she quickly changed the subject.
"Well...if there was anything that scared him it was the Hellstar. Since Damien was born from Legion, it'd fair to assume that's what caused him to react the way he did. I don't think you and the others need to worry about Damien doing his thing. From what you told me, it seems like he's only responsible for the physical changes that occur. But you went and did that on your own before he could bridge Vivi to you."
"We should absolutely tell the other's about the lunar spire, but we still have time for that. There'll be a debrief later that's going to include us. It's something I saw when I looked into Damien's future."
Alec took Kerana's hands into his and said, "And hey, about your folks, we'll go find them when you're ready. Also, if you'd like, I can look forward to see how things might go. I'll support your decision either way."

Damien shook his head and sighed, "That's not possible. Not because I can't do it, but because it would probably kill you. The human body body can only hand so much of their power, not to mention earth is your opposing element. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to-"
"What about me? My powers are similar to hers. Theonis is right. She's been through too much for someone her age." Leonard interjected.
"I could, but there is something lacking in you that the Ancient's are looking for in a candidate."

When her skull began to split open, Chariot's eyes snapped open and she started to shriek bloody murder. She bowed her back in agony.
Rydia deftly lifted her spirit hand up and brought the dark presence along with it. As soon as it was exposed to the light it solidified. It looked like a three head lamprey eel. It's mewled and screeched as if fought against the grip of Rydia's spirit hands.
The princess scrunched her nose in disgust. The opacity of her right spirit hand increased. With one solid squeeze the creature was silenced along with a satisfying squelch. She then thought of how to dispose of whatever might remain, or rather she just then thought of it when it should've been planned out much sooner.
She looked around and found a half filled bottle of ninety percent isopropyl alcohol. She used her left hand's spirit claw to swipe off the top and placed it into a sink. She dumped the crushed remains of the creature into the bottle. She reached behind her back and withdrew her twin kodachi. She clashed them against each other and caused a spark which ignited the bottle.
She replaced her weapons, turned to Chariot, and huffed with satisfaction. "There we go. Easy peasy Japanesey."
Chariot had gone mostly silent when her head was finally closed. She stared up at the ceiling and breathed heavily. She was beginning to rethink her position on finding pain amusing, but it was quickly dismissed since she lacked empathy. However, she was still a three year old in the body of a teenager. A few seconds after Rydia made her comment, Chariot began to cry like a toddler who'd just been given a shot.
Rydia almost felt pity for the girl. She knew of Chariot's laboratory origins, and so she knew about the sped up aging. Even so, she knew not to be fooled by the moment of vulnerability. If Chariot had gotten a chance, she would've tried to kill everyone in the room.

Rikki Tikki Travi Alec raised an eyebrow at the apparent and palpable sense of contention that came from Kerana at the mention of her parents. He was about to ask why when she quickly changed the subject.
"Well...if there was anything that scared him it was the Hellstar. Since Damien was born from Legion, it'd fair to assume that's what caused him to react the way he did. Kerana could sense his question about her hesitation about her parents which was partially why she changed the subject. She nodded in agreement as he spoke about the Damien and the debriefing.
Then Alec held her hands and asked about foreseeing how things would go. She shook her head, “No, not right now… I-I want to focus on saving the world first. Perhaps once that’s out of the way I may be more at ease to approach my parents then.”

Alec nodded solemnly and simply said, "Okay."
When he thought about it, he actually knew very little about the specifics of Kerana's life. He could tell right away that she was the sort that stood out like a ray of sunshine through storm clouds. People just seemed to be drawn to her whereas those same people tried to avoid Alec. Guess it makes sense in the end. Who wants to be close to death. But what he knew the least about was her relationship with her parents. She was worried for them sure; especially her mother. But what was it like beyond that.
His parents interacted with him at a bare minimum. He was brought up in a strictly religious household that required that children be seen but not heard. It took a lot of persuading on his part to be allowed to take music lessons. He wanted to learn guitar, but in return he had to learn piano. He actually didn't mind it so much. A lot could be expressed through either instrument.
Which reminded him.
"Say, when we're done with our food, can we go to the music room? I want to show you something I haven't shown anyone else." he requested with an uncharacteristically cheerful lilt in his voice.

Chariot's weeping slowed to a sob when Trinity popped the lolly into her mouth. She had never had anything sweet before. Like Theresa, Chariot had never had anything that didn't come from a tube. It was an experience that calmed her simple mind. To make matters better, the sensation of being dried by a towel soothed her more than she was capable of describing. When her hands were free, she brought them up to the lollipop stick and kept them there. Her crying had completely ceased. Her head still ached, but Trinity had made things better.
She looked over at the cup of water on the table. She cautiously took it in her right hand and attempted to sniff it, but she had difficulty getting it around the lollipop stick. She grumbled in frustration because she didn't want to take the sweet hard-candy out of her mouth, which caused her to only half hear what Trinity had asked. She finally managed to work the candy between her teeth and her left cheek and slurp some of the water into her mouth. What didn't make it into her mouth dribbled onto the hospital gown Rydia had put on her.
It only then occurred to her that Trinity had asked her something. Thankfully the memories of the five girls was exceptional. Her demeanor was much less maniacal since the thing had been removed from her brain. Chariot was still a sadist, and a sociopath, but she wasn't at the moment solely driven by that.
"Wha? Oh! My head hurts, but this colorful hard thing in my mouth is really good. I want more." She demanded.

Fenris was surprised by the reaction her strike had. It was then she realized that she'd created a new aura. She looked down at her hand and body once he'd skid to a halt. It was iridescent. She had no idea what that meant since she'd never used it, never mind worked with it. Then he spoke.
"Shut your gob! I'm working on it!" she called back. The pulse of frustration and anger caused the array of color to become more yellow and red. She didn't think that was possible. She'd attempted it before, but it nearly tore her body apart. In fact, she could feel a similar violent tug. The only thing that was keeping her together must've been her new composition of biomass. She clasped her hands into the Zen position of the Kunji-in and focused on calming her mind. The aura leveled out and became as it had been. She took a deep breath and felt out how her power was reacting to her emotions, or rather lack of, in a more destructive manner than before. Then it clicked. Her father didn't mean that being calm like Teshou would make her stronger. He'd meant that her calm would be counterbalanced by her anger. The greater the storm, the more silent the calm after it had passed. Her Yin was equal to her yang.
Why didn't he just say that?!
She shook her head softly, and took another deep breath. Fenris could feel that the aura was incomplete. She had so much baggage to sort through. Even if she could maintain a state of Zen it wouldn't be for long. She decided then it would have to be long enough.
The environment around her reacted to her breathing again. She visualized an orb of darkness. Black was a color comprised of all others, so she focused on separating each one until the orb more resembled a clear crystal ball. Once she had it in her mind, her aura snapped into completion. She held onto that feeling and opened her eyes.
The light that surrounded her was without reason, form, or rhythm. It reflected the freedom Freya and Okami had always desired. Fenris took a few steps toward Legio. The aura moved both before and after her. Where it stepped, she stepped, and then it stepped again. She didn't take a stance. She didn't feel that there was any need to.
Fenris seemed to glide as she closed the gap between herself and Legio. Her movements resembled less of a martial art, and more of a free form dance. She lashed out and struck at him with a series of flips, hands stands, slides, and leaps. All the while, her aura would sometimes move before and other times after her. It did so without any pattern in order to keep her movements as random as possible.

Chariot studied Trinity while she clasped onto the stick of her lolly with both hands like someone might take it at any moment. She liked Trinity. She didn't understand why Eclipse was so eager to kill the nice lady. Sure she'd split Chariot almost entirely in half when they fought, but she was also being given sweets in exchange for talking.
"The master, um, heee said that...what was it? OH! He said that he'd go to the moon at the next egg lips and free the big monster, and that Prism would make a giant crystal to make that happen." she said bluntly.
She then put her left hand out with her palm open and looked at Trinity expectantly.
Silhouette, who'd been observing silently, felt a slight pull on something deep within her memory. It was when Chariot mentioned the moon. The Ancient could see incomplete traces of a tower set against the night sky.
"The moon...I-I think it's very important. Damnit! I can't remember! Whatever it is, it has to be something that he doesn't want me to know."

Rydia let herself in and was taken aback by the number of people in the room. The tension in the room made her hair frizz slightly. "Oh! Pardon me. Erm...should we come back later?"
Damien replied, "I don't think so. Theonis, his sister, and I should probably go somewhere else to take care of this anyway."
He looked over Rydia's shoulder to Alexavier and chirped, "Good to see you getting more involved, Dad. Before today I thought you'd become one with the chair in our dorm."
Leonard looked over to Theonis and Theresa. "If the screaming I heard earlier is any indication, you should probably go with the young man. If...if I don't make it, or something happens to me, please look after each other. Theo, tell your mother she was right. Theresa, I'm sorry for everything that has happened to you. I hope, when you better comprehend things, you can find it in yourself to forgive this naive old man."
