More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Gidget rests against the wall closest to her and sighs. She sweeps her hair behind her ears and starts her story.

"You were there when Leviathan killed me. He simultaneously crushed my heart and burned it with his powers after ripping the chest plate off of my armor. What you couldn't see was what was happening inside the suit. A direct link jack that I had implanted in my head earlier served as a lifeline for me. My consciousness, my memories, my personality, everything that makes me me made a last pitch for survival. My powers transferred me into the Valkyrie armor."

"A few days after you had left, my mind had finally...turned itself back on I guess is the best way to put it. For thirteen years, I have been a ghost in a machine. I can't feel anything, taste, or smell anything. Glands that once produced endorphins don't exist in me anymore. I don't feel true emotions, only memories of them and how I should behave. Even that I had to relearn over the course of a several years."

"Do you remember Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation. I was like that for almost eight years."

"Shane was struggling to cope as it was. Everyone said that he had been different since his recovery procedure. Turns out that forcing powers on a human that way screws with their mind. When I came back...he stopped being my brother."

Gidget hugs herself and squeezes tight. "I want to cry so bad Annie. Did you hear about a rash of disappearances involving girls between the ages of thirteen and twenty one...it went one for a few years?"

"Just tell us what we need to do." Jezebel almost hissed. She hated people who were all talk and no action. She just wanted to get out. Even though the place was large, she felt almost claustrophobic.

Lia quickly stepped in. "Jez is more of an action person, but yes. it would be a good idea to know what we need to do." She tried to smile brightly, as if making up for her sister's rudeness.

Ako was about to extend a hand in introduction to Theonis, and maybe even suggest they sit down to talk, but Tansy's little freak out stopped him. Suddenly she was calm, and seemingly unaware of where she was. An expression of confusion came across Ako's face, and he put a hand on her shoulder. "Tansy? You're still in Gidget's lab. Are you okay?" His voice was full of concern, something he hadn't heard in it for a long time.

Angel looked to Ako and paused for a moment. "I'm sorry, you must have me confused with someone else." She smiled at him as she held out her hand. "You can call me Angel."

Justine walked with Deora with a slight smile on her face. Her nose would twitch from time to time, and her forhead would wrinkle. Her eyes were itching. Almost to the point that they burned. But she didn't say anything.

Deora walked through the mall-ish area, trying hard not to let her sense of wonder keep her from seeing her goal. Eventually they came to a music store, and Deora wondered if Justine knew about it before she did, thanks to the soft music pouring out of the open doors. It wasn't loud at all, the volume turned up only enough to be heard over the soft chatter of the other store patrons. "This is the place, now where are those headphones?" Deora muttered, partly to Justine, but mostly thinking out loud.

Angel looked to Ako and paused for a moment. "I'm sorry, you must have me confused with someone else." She smiled at him as she held out her hand. "You can call me Angel."

"I'm not the one confused." Ako said. He was about to ask what was wrong when he remembered what Gidget had said. So this was her other personality. Now the question became; 'how does one deal with a friend's second personality?' "Okay, 'Angel,' my name is Ako." He said, shaking her hand gently.

"Just tell us what we need to do." Jezebel almost hissed. She hated people who were all talk and no action. She just wanted to get out. Even though the place was large, she felt almost claustrophobic.

Lia quickly stepped in. "Jez is more of an action person, but yes. it would be a good idea to know what we need to do." She tried to smile brightly, as if making up for her sister's rudeness.

Staying in character the creature shirks just a bit at Jezebels snap. It was going to revel in joy when the creator consumed this one. "Right...Jezebel will be using her power to persuade any interference from messing up our plan, and to make our chances of disabling the security better. Liadan will be using her power to increase Jezebel and Kali's powers when needed. Kali will use her speed and wall crawling to disable any cameras. Kerana's nose and ears will alert us to anyone about to intrude, and I will provide foresight into what actions need to be taken for success."

It feels a sudden shudder run through it's being. The creator has been disturbed, and he is angry. "Let's be careful and take our time getting there. No matter what the scenario, if we rush this could end badly."

Annie hugged Gidget, a mothering instinct that life had never blotted away from her, if anything just made it stronger. As, Annie hugged Gidget, Annie couldn't help but think, So, Shane was right. She is trapped in a machine. What a lonely existence that must be...

Letting go of Gidget, Annie spoke up, "I didn't hear about the disappearances." Her voice was bitter as she added, "You don't get a lot of news when you are locked up in a cell for the Deadalus Project. But, let me guess, Shane had something to do with them. He tried to bring your soul back to a human body using those missing girls, didn't he?"

Annie swore under her breath clenching a fist and thought to herself, If only I was here I could have stopped him. I could have stopped him from being apart of that cursed experiment... I could have helped him cope with losing his sister.  

[Nova Blancke]

I see, She reverted back.
"Angel, we are in Valhalla. It seems you may have blacked out a bit there. What's the last thing you remember?" Theonis asked her not mentioning anything about her real personality. If she remembers the intersection she might revert again. That's what happened last time.

Angel turned and smiled brightly at Theonis. "I was trying to help you learn to use your powers. We were flying." She tilted her head somewhat, an almost sort of grin barely flashed over her face. "Has you're control gotten any stronger? Did it help any? You seemed to be catching up to me rather well."

The expression dropped from Ako's face, and his hand slipped from Tansy's shoulder. He recognized what was going on between the two, it had once been between Tansy and himself. He remembered helping her learn to fly, even if it was only through encouragement. It seemed do long ago, yet he remembered it like it was yesterday. That bright, happy smile had been aimed at him. He knew it wasn't Tansy who was talking to this boy, but another person in her body. It still hurt him, though, He brought a hand up to his chest, as if he had a physical pain there.

He was never the angry jealous type, instead he felt rejected. He been used to feeling that way throughout most of his life, to the point that he'd gotten used to being a loner, but this time hurt more than any time before. He still couldn't feel angry towards Tansy and the boy, though; Tansy wasn't herself right now, and the boy couldn't have known. Ako knew that sometimes it was better to just walk away.

"Hey, uh, I'm gonna go find Gidget. She'll want to meet Angel." He said, faking a smile before making his way to the door.

Theonis brightened up after hearing her talk and seeing her smile."Well actually I have. Next time I'll be the faster one however." he said and smiled back. He did see Ako change in expression but didn't feel bad about it. Instead he felt good. Right now Ako was feeling what he just felt when the tables were turned.

"Don't know how long she wants to stay here though." He said to Ako." Say you aren't claustrophobic are you Angel?"

Angel watched Ako somewhat confused by his actions, but she smiled warmly despite that. When Theonis asked if she was claustrophobic, she paused for a moment. "No... Why?"

The girls nodded again in agreement. It was strange how was able to know what their powers were, just by seeing the future... although, it did make sense. The last thing they needed to do was to get caught

Annie hugged Gidget, a mothering instinct that life had never blotted away from her, if anything just made it stronger. As, Annie hugged Gidget, Annie couldn't help but think, So, Shane was right. She is trapped in a machine. What a lonely existence that must be...

Letting go of Gidget, Annie spoke up, "I didn't hear about the disappearances." Her voice was bitter as she added, "You don't get a lot of news when you are locked up in a cell for the Deadalus Project. But, let me guess, Shane had something to do with them. He tried to bring your soul back to a human body using those missing girls, didn't he?"

Annie swore under her breath clenching a fist and thought to herself, If only I was here I could have stopped him. I could have stopped him from being apart of that cursed experiment... I could have helped him cope with losing his sister.

Gidget rested against Annie for a moment before being released, missing the feeling of comfort that comes with a hug. She nods to Annie inquiry.

"For years he attempted to try and interface a CPU with a human mind. More often then not they would end up complete invalids or vegetables. Returned home to their families completely ruined. The rest of the times they were never seen again. My guess is that he consumed them out of necessity."

"The scary thing is that he was really close to doing it Annie...and I actually thought about doing it." She holds herself again, her eyes showing a deep disturbance with what just came out of her mouth.

"But I couldn't do it. I couldn't take another girl's life just to restore my own."
