Silhouette easy leaned out of the way of the daggers, and then just as easily ducked and dodged the punch and kick. "Very good. I can see that you took to Freya's lessons on improvisation. That and your will can-"

The moment the shadow bear stepped into Silhouette's shadow she spun around and formed a large shield from her sleeve. The creature was strong, and managed to push her heel against the edge of the circle before she pushed back against it.

That's when she realized her mistake. It'd been forever since Sil had been in a one on one fight, and she had turned her back to Trinity.

Trinity did not show this on her face, but on the inside she had such a cocky smirk as she waited for her plan to unfold. On the outside she kept her aggressive stance and expression.

While it looks as though Sill was focused on the bear with her shield, she saw her opening. She dropped down and did a scissor kick with her shadow limbs aimed at her knees and ankles. At the end her top leg (her left leg) ended up forward, while her bottom leg ended up back. She hoped this caused her to lose balance and let the bear finish the job.

There it was. That thing that turned her daughter against her. That caused her so much suffering. Ensnared in the spectral green chains.

"You..." She turned to face it. Whisps of light launched itself towards it and crashed against it with small detonations. The lights became more red as she made her way to the chained memory cancer. The lights almost looked like fists that impacted it. It didn't take Crystalion long to stand in front of it.

"YOU!" Two spectral arms formed and clenched the dark figure's head tightly. Her eyes shined with a deep radiant red light.

"GET THE HELL OUT OF MY DAUGHTER'S HEAD!" She shouted and unleashed all of her fury with the lasers shot from her eyes at where the Dark figure's own eyes would be. She would not stop until this thing would thoroughly be destroyed."

Legio made no motion to enter and let her close the door. Her demeanor was something he hadn't seen in her before. Her mother must have had an tremendous impact on her.

"Ah, I see. She is dying." Legio wanted to say but didn't.

"Very well, I know better than to intrude now that I know the situation." His hands behind his back.

"This time I promise you. I keep my promises. The one removing it will be the successor of the one who created the curse, Alec. I do not pretend to know how souls work. I lack one regardless, so I cannot tell you the intricacies of the process. That is essentially what I came to tell you. I might not be able to devour that stain as I initially said but I think this is close enough no?"

Theo didn't expect this side of Leo. Actually picking a fight or was he just not aware of what could happen if he kept talking?

"Don't worry. I will."

"Leo, people are different here. You've had it...very rough. But think of it from another side. Mark here survived the Daedelus attack and then he almost caught a fork to the face. Take a deep breath and just say sorry. We'll keep working on that control of yours, alright?"

Raina listened and smiled as Kerana blushed and glossed over Alec's presence in her life. Ah, to be young and in love. Raina could see that he made Kerana happy, so that was good enough for her. Just so long as he was a good, Christian boy she didn't foresee any reason she might not like him too.

The grown woman watched with child-like amazement at the marvelous wardrobe in her living area. "Increíble." she gasped. "It's like something out of a movie. I've dreamed of having a giant wardrobe since I was a little girl."

Then Kerana asked about her father. Raina quickly became as hesitant to respond to Kerana's question as she was to ask it. She wrung her hands anxiously and broke eye contact. "Your father, he...I haven't seen him since we were taken. I think he's okay, but I don't know where he is."

Silhouette felt her feet leave the ground before she could command the shadow beneath her to act. She inhaled through her teeth with equal parts frustration and amusement. She would have to show Trinity the ace up her literal sleeve.

Countless segments of Sil's dress split apart and lashed out. The bear was deftly dispelled by the front half, and she managed to catch and right herself with the back half. She spun and kicked up dust as her heels halted her momentum. Her dress wove itself back together and fell naturally around her. Silhouette looked down and saw that her left foot was outside of the circle's boundary.

"Well...this is certainly a humbling experience." she sighed with a satisfied smile. "A bit jarring too, I might add. I've never liked bears."

Leo grimaced, turned his head, and scoffed again.

Mark looked from Theonis to Leo. He lowered himself until he was at the same level as Leo. "Look at me, boy. Or did yer mama not teach yah manners where yer from?"

Leo clenched his fists and teeth, turned his attention back to Mark and stood up ready for a fight. The strength meta stood up and looked down at Leo. From an outside perspective, it looked as though Mark tried to stare down Leo. What he actually did was take a moment to study the young man's eyes.

"I know what yer doin'. I've seen that look before. You've been through some s**t, and now yah don't know what to do with all that energy. It's quiet, and that scares yah." Mark said calmly.

Leo's gaze faltered for a moment. "I'm not scared of anything." he insisted.

Mark sighed, "I know, kid. But...y'are scared of nothin'."

Mark turned his head toward Theonis and huffed, "No worries, boss man. Ain't gonna be a scrape today. Kid just needs some help is all. Y'all take 'er easy."

The strength meta gave Leo one more knowing glance before he returned to his seat.

Leo, on the other hand, hadn't moved. He just looked down at his feet and fought back tears through clenched teeth. "I'm not scared." he insisted again.

Fenris' eyes darted wildly as she processed the information while at the same time making an attempt to read Legio's expression. "That's...I don't know what to say." she finally managed to force out.

She put her right hand behind her neck, and her left on her hip. She paced in front of Legio for almost a minute before she stopped abruptly and got into his face. "Why? Why do this for me? I know you made a promise, but that can't be ******** it. What do you want from me?" she asked desperately.

The dark figure writhed and mewled in absolute agony as light poured within it and caused it's form to crack. It stiffened up, and then exploded in a dazzling array of sparkles that looked like falling snow. The storm around them slowed to a stop and then dissipated. All that was left of the figure were a pair of mocking eyes and a sadistic grin. It let out a sick chuckle and wheezed, "Hehehe...she's my daughter too."

The remnants of the figure broke up into a bundle of smoke-like wisps and blew away in the mental breeze.

The skyscraper had become bathed in the soft amber of sunset, and the city that had comprised Ravan's tortured memories fell silent around them. The little girl in Crystalion's arms took her hands off of her ears and looked around at all the pretty colors. The dark woman pushed herself up onto her hands and knees and groaned, "It's quiet. It's never been quiet."

"I'm sorry-"

The little Ravan and her angry counterpart looked to the sound of the disembodied apology. The memory of what actually happened gathered itself into a complete picture. A four year old Ravan was dangled from a ledge. Not by a monster that mocked a scared child before letting go, but from a beaten, broken, and exhausted mother that was desperately hanging onto her child. The Liv in the memory didn't have a left leg below the knee, a gaping diseased hole in her torso that got worse by the second, and a throbbing red welt where her left eye had once been.

"Mommy! Ahhh! Mommy help me! Mommy! Mommy!!!" Ravan cried with frantic desperation

Liv winced and forced a smile. "Shh. I...know you're scared, but I can't take ah!...care of you anymore. You...have to be strong. Find the...machine lady, the shadow lady, or...or the man with dark eyes. They're good people...better people."

Liv's body began to betray her. Try as she might, she could no longer fight off the biobeast's mutative infection. Several rows of jagged, teeth-like bony protrusions pushed through the wound in her chest like the maw of a shark. She wanted to scream, but her little girl was already terrified. She bit her bottom lip and forced one last sad look to Ravan.

"...Mommy?"

"I'm sorry, Kit."

Liv let go, and Ravan fell. When she got about halfway down, her eyes lit up like beacons and her body covered itself in darkness before it vanished into a pitch black hole. The memory faded away, and the little Ravan looked to Crystalion and whimpered, "Mommy?"

The dark Ravan stood up and forced herself closer to the pair in spite of her exhaustion. "That...really wasn't you. And she didn't drop me. She let me go...before she turned. Kit...it wasn't my name, but it's what you called me. I had a name, but I can't remember it. Why can't I remember?"

The City around them began to light up with dozens of new memory rifts that had been forgotten, repressed, or locked away. But a few feet behind the dark Ravan appeared a doorway. The two Ravan's looked to the door and shook their heads while they protested in tandem.

"No! I can't! I'm not ready yet!"

Theo watched this encounter unfold. He was ready to step in should anything happen but it seem Mark was the bigger man. Also the wiser one. A veteran perhaps? His words made sense. Leo grew up constantly being on edge, on guard. A constant state of Fight or Flight. Giving Mark a nod as their gazes met he watched him go back to his table.

There was a bit of a pause before he spoke up.

"I am.... I'm scared shitless of what's coming. I won't....pretend to know what you've been through or what you're feeling but it's not a weakness you know. I can guarantee you that your father was just as scared. I'd be in that situation."

"I don't know if it'll ever go away but eventually it will lessen. We're here to help you get through it. So just...take a few deep breaths for now, focus on your breathing."

Legio followed her pacing with the slight turning of his head in each direction as she walked. It seemed this truly had affected Fenris more than any attack ever could.

His response was a soft smile which to his credit was one of the most genuine he managed to make.

"I have nothing I want from you. I simply.....want to."

Crystalion almost spat at the deadbeat 'father's chesshire grin. "Like hell she is."
The skies changed, a more pleasant sunset. She looked down and smiled at the small Ravan that was looking around at the sunset.

The true memory surfaced and it wasn't pleasant to look at but she fought...she tried so hard to hold on but couldn't.

She looked over at Ravan who barely managed to get up next to her. Placing a hand on her shoulder. Then the door appeared, followed by the clear protesting of both girls. She looked up.

"Tom! We're not done yet. These two troublemakers aren't ready yet. We're staying so she can learn some more about herself."

"Well then....let's see what we can find, shall we?." She said and blinked them towards the nearest Memory Rift that seemed to stand out a bit for her.

Leo had to force the tension out of his body. He took a seat while he trembled from the sudden spike of adrenaline. He gripped the table and took several deep breathes. It seemed to have the opposite effect. He clenched his jaw tightly and fought back the tears that came with overwhelming emotion. He then put his hands over his eyes and rested his elbows on the tabletop.

"I can't do this. This...peace, it's too quiet. I couldn't even sleep last night, and we're in a fortified underground building. I'm...we're all broken. Dawn, despite everything, is a bleeding heart who can't help but try and save everyone. I took a ******** bullet because she tried to reason with the first wave of soldiers. Ravan is one mental breakdown away from losing control of a black hole, and I just picked a fight with a total stranger for no real reason. The only ones who have a chance are the teens and younger kids."

He looked down at his food, sighed, and then pushed the tray aside. "And to top it off, my stomach hurts from eating too much."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fenris's mouth fell slightly open and she felt a sudden rush of heat to her face. She took a step back and maintained eye contact with Legio. She shook her head and insisted, "You want to? That...that's not good enough. Why do you want to?"
She put her hands to her head, began to pace again, and pulled at her hair. "Jesus tap-dancing Christ! Why am I getting so worked up over you and your motivations? This is so ******** stupid! I can't-"
Rydia opened the door and was taken aback at the state of her aunt. She then turned her head slightly and saw the reason why. The princess cut her eyes at Legio and glared dangerously at him before she returned her attention to Fenris.
She spoke in the Elvin tongue, unaware that Legio could understand her.
<"Aunt Freya. Grandmother said she's willing to speak to the abomination, and that we needn't worry about her for the time being. Also, I haven't eaten yet, and Fang is on my eating schedule.>
Fenris lowered her hands and looked from Legio to her niece. "Yeah, okay. Food sounds good. Although I think we should get it delivered to my room. People have gone through enough today without a werewolf wanderings the halls."
She looked to Legio one more time, averted her eyes, and then left with Rydia who left the door to her Grandmother's hospital room ajar.
"You may enter, Legio. Do shut the door behind you as you come in." chimed the regal voice of Lokelonni.
The rift opened to show a bloodied and bruised four year old Ravan limping through the streets and crying out for her mother.
"This is the first day-"
"-that I was on my own."
The girl, barely old enough to no longer be called a toddler, heard something ahead and clamped her hands over her mouth. She looked around desperately and saw a truck she could hide under. She looked in the direction of the sound once more and then ran as fast as she could manage to the truck and scurried underneath it.
A small group biobeast, not too dissimilar from the ones that poured out of Legion, rose from the stairs of a subway platform and trudged their way down the street. Little Ravan did what her mother always said to do. Stay still, stay quiet, breath slowly.
It was worked. The beasts moved past her without incident. Then something caused them to start warbling in anger. A buzzing sound in the sky that sounded like the Raven drones Gidget used. Then there was a whistle, a wall of smoke and fire, and then nothing.
The two Ravan's put a hand to the same part of their head.
"I woke up later. My head hurt. But I-"
"-couldn't remember what Mommy told me. I couldn't think. It was hard to talk after that too. I think that's when-"
"-Kit died." the Ravan in Crystalion's arms said mournfully.
The dark Ravan fell to her knees cried out, "No more! I don't want to see anymore! I don't want to feel anymore! Just let me go back to sleep!"
The younger Ravan looked over to Crystalion and whispered, "She needs me. Please let me go to her."
PostPosted: Thu Jul 08, 2021 2:57 pm
It hurt to see the little injured and confused Ravan making her way through the streets while crying out for help. The day that...Kit died? Memory loss? Brain damage?
"Ravan...You're not alone in this. I'm here with you." She told the dark Ravan as she put down the small Ravan as requested.
Theo couldn't do much besides to listen.
"Yeah that's....definitely going to take time. There....there are ways to help you adjust. From putting a damper on the emotions tied to those memories to filling up the time you have now with something else. Distracting yourself. It's what I do. If I stop, I feel I'd break. Though it pales in comparison to what you're feeling So I need to keep going. To do something. From martial arts to playing games to practicing the guitar and singing. "
There wasn't much to say besides admitting to Leo that he too was not alright. But they were on such a different scale. Would it even matter?
Legio slightly cocked his head at her outburst. Not good enough? Perhaps he needed to more. Her curses were colorful as usual. She was interrupted by her niece Rydia. He gave her a polite nod. As the two women walked away he said "Enjoy your meal" in the Elvin tongue.
Entering the room, he shut the door behind him as request. Legio greeted the Elvin women with a formal greeting as Elves do when addressing nobility .Left fist at the small of his back, right fist placed over the heart despite not having one. A brief 1 second bow at 45 degree angle.
Cassandra moved along the way that Dawn tried to pull her. If she didn't feel like walking, it wouldn't have had any effect but something seemed to have happened to Chariot. Upon entering the room she saw what was really going on. Theresa was trying to kill Chariot. Trashing around despite Ako and Gidget trying to restrain her. That would be dangerous for Gidgets current state. From behind, Cassandra's arms went underneath Theresa's, crossing each other to grab the girls arms and pulled back. Pressing her arms against herself in restraint. With her power it was an easy task.
Leo was half listening until Theonis brought up distractions. That's when he remembered something that the adults used to talk constantly wanting one of.
"A drink." he muttered with the gleeful expression of a great idea. "Theonis, can you take me to a place where I can get a drink or a shot? Next to meat, it was something I always heard from the other adults but never asked about. They were always saying they could use a shot or that they needed a drink. I want to know what the fuss was all about."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Lokelonni looked in Legio's general direction and waited until she couldn't hear any movement from him. Then she heard a familiar series of sounds.

"Oh ho. I cannot see it, but I believe I just heard you bow in the manner my people do...did." she mused.

She took a deep breath and collected her thoughts and emotions. She felt around the bedrail and pressed a button to raise her back and head ten degrees shy of an upright position. She placed her hands, one atop the other, on her lap. Her presence gave off a regal pressure that would bring most to one knee in reverence. She knew it would have no effect on Legio, but it was something that happened automatically when she spoke with the tone she addressed Legio in.

"You may dispense with any ceremonies, titles, or honorifics. Do not mistake my leniency toward you as familiarity. As sincere as you might be, I consider any acts of respect from you to be as hollow as your soulless husk. You did not learn our ways, you took them from the memories of my daughter."

"Now, I understand you wish to speak with me. Frey...Fenris tells me you have an insatiable desire for information. Though that is not quite how she phrased it. You forced my daughter into a corner, and then consumed her like Agatha Morris' late brother. That, of course, is an oversimplification of yesterday's events. Yet the fact of the matter is you killed and ate my daughter. However, you have given her form and life again. Even if it is in a state worse of than she was before, I am grateful for her return."

"That is the only reason I am entertaining your request for an audience. I am not obligated to answer any of your inquiries, nor will I relinquish any information I do not desire to share. If I sense any attempt at probing my mind, and I will know if you try, then you shall never be in my presence again unless I allow it."

The pressure subsided, and Lokelonni's tone softened. "Now...what did you wish to ask me?"
PostPosted: Sat Jul 10, 2021 8:52 am
Theresa's legs kicked in the air as she fruitlessly fought against Cassandra's impossible grip. "No! Put me down!"

Her eyes looked desperately in the direction of the unconscious Chariot. She'd seen what her golden clone could do. She'd experienced it all too often. The pain. The laughter. That horrible smile. It had to be killed.

"Let. Me. GO!" Theresa demanded. It was punctuated by a backward headbutt in an attempt to get free. She knew it would hurt, but she didn't expect it to feel like she'd just thrown her head against an iron wall. She saw a white flash, and then her vision doubled. Her head flopped around a bit before it lolled forward. She groaned in confusion and pain. Even in her stupor, she knew of only one person who could take a hit like that and not even react.

"Cass...andra?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The little Ravan trotted up to the dark one and knelt in front of her large doppelganger. "It's okay. I don't have to worry so much anymore. So you can rest."
The dark Ravan looked the small one in the eyes and huffed, "I don't know if I can."
"I do. We're the same. Remember? Even though I've been lost all this time, I know you."
The little Ravan hopped forward and wrapped her arms around the Dark one. A warm light glowed where their bodies made contact.
The dark Ravan stiffened for a moment at the sudden contact, but she calmed quickly under the warmth of the little one's light. The darkness that surrounded her began to chip away as she wrapped her misshaped arms around the little girl.
The warm glow became a hot radiance that swallowed the both of them. A few seconds later the light subsided and revealed a single person. It was Ravan as Crystalion knew her.
She hugged her arms as hard as she could and allowed a few tears to fall before she stood up and looked at Chrystalion. At no point in their time together had she ever felt, or looked, as vulnerable and apologetic as she did at that moment.
"I...I'm..." she sobbed. Even though her psyche was no longer splintered she didn't know what she could, or should, say to the person in front of her. Chrystalion was her mother, but she wasn't. She'd raised her. Cared for her. They'd fought side by side for several years.
I tried to kill her. Kill everything. She came for me in here.
Her small hands clenched into fists as she dropped her eyes down to her feet. The shame she felt the day before didn't compare to the disgust she felt at that moment. She just stood there and trembled.
Dawn had tried to grapple Theresa's legs, but her attempt was thwarted when the diminutive experiment suddenly went limp.
"Oh my God!" Dawn gasped as her hands covered her mouth in shock. "Is she okay?"
Gidget rushed forward and lifted Theresa's eyelids before the one doctor in the room could take a step. The "teen's" eyes couldn't seem to focus on any one thing, and her speech came out slow.
"I think she gave herself a concussion. Cassandra, I hate to trouble you, but could you hold onto her and keep her awake while we figure out what's going on with her clone? I don't think she's got any fight left in her after that blow to her head."
Liv sighed a bit and snuggled up to Heather a bit more.
"Maybe i'll dump her at the daycare. So her royal highness can learn the commoners etiquette. I'm pretty sure I don't have to be around 24/7"
Cassandra felt her trying to do something but there was no movement from Cassandra's end. Then came the headbutt which would have been effective, had it been anyone else but Cassandra.
"Yup." She responded to Theresa before she went limp.
Eyes and hair shifted to a cold light blue color. Her gaze went from Gidget to Chariot.
"Don't bother. It's a psychopath that enjoys killing, slaughter and pain. The kind that plucks of the wings and legs of an insect gleefully before pulling burning it with a magnifying glass." Cassandra mentioned before turning around and walking out with Theresa.
It was interesting to say the least to see them merge. She finally saw her Ravan afterwards. Crystalion had already taken the steps forwards towards her. Embracing her daughter was the only thing on her mind. She was back and that was all that mattered.
"You're such a trouble maker, you know that?" The mother kissed the top of her head."Guess we were both right huh."
"Hoooo boy, yeah honest I could go for a drink but I am not sure if jumping into alchohol on your second day is such a good idea, Not sure if I should let you drink. Plus you'd have no resistance to it at all!" Theo said.
"Also, I am pretty sure your mother would kill me." He joked.
"And....now that I think about it. That might be a nice moment for you two. She should teach you that stuff."
Legio observed the woman. Her movements were subtle but refined. There were many things he wished to say as a retort but refrained from doing so.
"This was not my original intent but would you like your sight back? I can restore that if you'd like. Fenris just stated that what I was doing was not enough. Alec and I will break her curse next cycle. Which was partially why I desired to speak with you or rather. Soul."
Heather couldn't help but snicker at the idea of the princess being dropped off at a daycare. Regal and fat-mouthed Rydia overseeing her kingdom of ankle biters.
The amusement quickly faded when she remembered the rumors of a single elf kid wandering the halls among the other children. As much of a pain in the a** Rydia was, Heather had to recognize the s**t the princess had gone through over the last two days.
Correction, how much s**t they'd all been through...and how much was yet to come. Heather frowned and kissed the top of her girlfriend's head. She hated it, but there was an apocalyptic elephant in the room that needed to be brought up before Damien lost his patience and tried to "upgrade" Liv.
"Liv, there're some really important things I need to tell you about. But, if you're not ready yet, we could stay like this for a bit longer."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Leo groaned, "C'mon. We may've had to stick together out of necessity, but no one wants to hang out with their mom. Besides, now that I know there's a place here that provides alcohol, I'm going to find it with or without you. This place is big, but I have a lot of free time."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"To be clear, I am Lokelonni Eleilya Soichi. Widow, mother, and retired queen of a near extinct race. Soul died ages ago. I am merely the last in a line of vessels that contain his memories and boon. I would appreciate it if you refrained from addressing me by the name of my progenitor. Lokelonni will do."
The dying royal placed a hand to the fresh wrapping that had been placed over her eyes by Fenris as they spoke. "My sight...is fine. Too good, in fact. This dressing is for the safety of everyone else around me. A side effect of the infinite eye for which I'm named. Your offer is appreciated, not necessary, and misplaced. That is not what my Fenris meant when she said it was, 'not good enough.'"
She cleared her throat and gingerly waved her hand over the table beside her until her hand brushed a straw. She carefully lowered her hand, gripped the cup, and took a sip of it's contents from the straw. Satisfied, she returned the cup to exactly where it was.
"Now...I heard some of what was said on the other side of the door. Don't be surprised. These ears aren't just decoration. My children have always made an effort to keep me in the dark until they feel the need to include me, but they've always been terrible at it. Especially my youngest."
"So, Legio, do elaborate. How do you and Alec hope to achieve the impossible, and release my daughter from her father's curse?"
PostPosted: Mon Jul 12, 2021 7:04 am
Theresa sleepily craned her head to try and get a better look at Cassandra. "Hey...hey Cassandra, I got fixed. Deminem fixed me. I'm one whole person now. N'that...n'that short lady with the...with the long hair is...she's..."
Her eyes wandered and her head dipped forward again. "I dun...feel s'good. M'sleepy."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ravan's body stiffen in response to being kissed on the head. There was a moment's hesitation and then she willed her elbows to bend. She held Crystalion tightly and cried into her chest. There was something that resembled speech in her sobs, but it was heavily muffled. There was one word that made it's way through again and again.

Sorry.

The world around them began slowly collapse in on itself from the outside going in. A door appeared beside the two of them again, but it was less stable than the one before had been.

Tom's voice sounded strained and desperate, "Miss Crystalion...I can't maintain the mind-scape anymore. You need to leave before it collapses, or your physical body will never wake up."

Ravan looked up at Crystalion, to the door, and back. "Will you be there...when I wake up?"

Then Kerana asked about her father. Raina quickly became as hesitant to respond to Kerana's question as she was to ask it. She wrung her hands anxiously and broke eye contact. "Your father, he...I haven't seen him since we were taken. I think he's okay, but I don't know where he is."

Kerana was felt relieved yet terrible at the same time. She felt bad for being relieved that no one knew where he is right now. She spent a good chunk of her life striving to go beyond his expectations, him wishing he had a son that it drove her to do so much. Heck she couldn't help but think that he'd say that she ended up with the wrong boon or something.

Ever since she got to Valhalla she didn't have that pressure and she could simply be herself. Right now she wanted to head back to Alec. "I guess we'll just hope that he's alright. For now you've had a big day I think you need time to let it all sink in and rest."

She hugged her once more, "I love you mom."
