Hello! I'm aisai24...I've been playing the flute for around 5 years. Sure, I've been playing for quite a while, but since I didn't get serious till a year ago, I just started to get really good. Now, I REALLY enjoy playing the flute. I'm also in my school's band! I've been wanting to learn how to play the violin and piano, but I never get the chance to...actually, I used to take piano lessons a LONG time ago, but I forgot everything... crying

Hi, I'm Ayame and a recent highschool graduate. I have played the clarinet since sixth grade with a year of bass clarinet as well. I also sang in my school choir as section leader for the Second Sopranos. I am currently attending a Community college and hope to move on to a larger university.

Hello. My name is Falane. I have been playing flute for 15 years, and I have been playing piano off and on my whole life. I am an Undergrad at a University. I am almost finished with my flute performance and music ed degrees. I am in Orchestra with three grad student flute players, we have 5 grad flutes this year, yuck! J/K. I am 2nd chair behind and in front of the other 2 grad students in Symphonic Band. I am also in the Undergrad Woodwind Quintet, and I am playing with a guitarist this semester, "History of the Tango". I'm doing Concerto Competition, and another competition in the Spring, can't remember what it is called.

I love Mahler, Vivaldi, and Stravinsky.

Hey all! As my siggy says, I used to be Savoy, but I lost everything sad I restarted by account, though, so Curse-of-the-Ninth is now my main.

All my details are probably still in this thread under Savoy, but just in case:

I'm a Californian university undergrad majoring in Music with concentrations in History and Vocal Performance. As a singer I am involved in several choirs (though no more than three at once) -- our Symphonic chorus, which does immense pieces with orchestra, our University chorus, which specializes in smaller masses, and the Chamber group (mostly unaccompanied virtuosic work). I also do some solo work, though currently mostly freelancing (helping people out with senior recitals, doing a couple of comic operas -- if I have time for it, I do it). I'm on my way to England to study Baroque Opera in less than a month -- wish me luck!

I don't really know what to put for intros, lol... Well, I'm a recent Bachelor of Music graduate (piano concentration), and I'm doing part-time studies unrelated to music while deciding what to do next. I'm entertaining the idea of doing a Master's, but...we'll see. wink

I'm hoping to learn guitar soon, and I definitely want to learn cello sometime in my life, lol.

Right now, my favourite composer is Debussy.

Hellooo! You call me Zeff. I'm a sophomore in high school, and I'm majoring in music at my community college. I play violin, guitar, dulcimer, banjo, and mandolin. I play violin in a quartet, and I play a lot of guitar at home. I started out by playing ukulele when I was about six. I'm mainly self taught at guitar (with some help from my father, who has played for forty years, and is absolutely amazing), and I started out self taught in violin. I'd like to learn viola and djembe. I'd like to take voice classes too, because I really enjoy singing. I'm interested in just about everything, and I'm a very happy person.

Greetings! You may call me Piroshki or Piro. I'm a sophomore at a remote, unimportant high school in the northern U.S., and I'm very picky about putting real life details on the internet, so you probably won't get anything much more specific than that. ninja
I'm usually in too good of a mood, so I'll crack really bad jokes all the time; feel free to just ignore them. Sometimes I'm really modest, and other times I'm a show-off, but I let anyone else worry about that.

My main instruments are piano and clarinet, but I also play bass guitar. My mom got me started on piano when I was really young, around 4 or 5, and I started playing clarinet in 5th grade, and I still love playing both. I'm currently second chair in my school's highest band (clarinet), marching band (clarinet), jazz band (piano), and I sometimes play with the school's orchestra (clarinet), but I've played in tons of different ensembles.

I also like to sing sometimes when I play piano, even though I don't think I'm that good. xp

Hi~ I'm Ayumi. Principal oboist in our local youth symphony (in the second from the top group, not quite there yet! ^.^). I played trumpet for 3 years before I picked up oboe, and now I'm playing both. Happy oboe player for almost 3 years now! Yay~

I'm really excited because I just recently added English Horn to my list. It takes so much more air. sweatdrop

I play violin/viola as majors in orchestra, but also can play 7 other instruments (majors and minors). I am in the WYSO in Sinfonietta (>.< I failed the audition for Concert.....................) but am auditioning for Julliard..... (...) I look up to many composers but some of my favorite are Bach, Mendelssen, etc....... Ummm, oh. Also, I am a composer.

Hello, I'm Shoemy89. I've been playing viola for a little over 10 years now. I'm not in any music programs right now, but I played in my schools' orchestras since I started in 4th grade.

I like orchestral music in general, and about half the CDs I own are movie or video game soundtracks. I haven't played very often since I graduated, due to college, but I would like to practice more often.

Hallo hallo.

Despite the male avatar, I am a woman instrumentalist. I have been playing violin since I was ten years old, and throughout my years of study, I have picked up skills also in the rest of the string family, piano, vocal, and a smidgen of flute, sax, and trombone. I love listening to all kinds of music, from rock, to punk, to the whole spectrum of classical. My favorite composer to play is Vivaldi. My favorite to listen to is Tchaikovsky.

I am trying to get back into my conservatory so that I can finally graduate with a bachelors and obtain my teaching license so that I can start teaching public school orchestra. However, the school I was attending is making things awfully difficult to return for one mere semester.

As for the other aspects of my life, I am married to a wonderful man deploying to Iraq with the Army National Guard. I also recently discovered that I am carrying his baby (I'm hoping for a boy). So my life right now is hectic and crazy, but I somehow still find time to practice, and my heart will always be with music.

Alright. Hi~ Let's see... I'm a girl in high school, and I've been playing the piano for 8 years and the viola for 6. I'm in the school orchestra (too lazy to join anything else) and was in the jazz band for two years-- hopefully a third this year 3nodding oh, and I'm going to try to pick up the violin soon~ although I'm not very good yet sweatdrop Anyways, cheers~!

I've played violin since I was three using the Suzuki program (if any of you know what I'm talking about). I also sing alto in choir, but it's more of an 'on the side' kind of thing. I've also tried to play in band, since last year my school didn't have an orchestra, but it sucked. Now I just stick to weekly private lessons and the local orchestra where I play 2nd violin. Everyone else there is like, at least twenty years older than me, but what the heck. My favorite composers are Tychoski (I'm a horrid speller, sorry) and anything from the Baroque period. The only other thing is that I would REALLY like to learn piano, but I have literally no time. So it'll just have to wait *sigh*.

I've been playing piano for about 7 years now and play it in jazz band. I play pecussion in our wind ensemble and my goal for this year is to make it to state solo competition again this year.
I played a Debussy for solo/ensemble last year and he's a favorite of mine right now.
