Finding Peace in The Darkness (Vampire / werewolf)

Fang scratched his forehead and replied,"Probably bed. Don't need her anyways." Fang smirked as he got ready for the three 'shadows' were and more than likely pound them to a pulp and leave them on the ground lying unconscious.

Crystal awoke with a start. Her usual nightmare plagued her. The nightmare of her past. Fang didn't know all the stuff that had happened to her..The stuff that caused her to hate vampires...The stuff that made it so that she could trust no one. She hid the nightmares from him. There was just no need for him to know everything. Crystal sighed and headed outside, deciding to go for a walk. The cool night air was relaxing, yet Crystal felt like she was in some sort of danger. Fang still had yet to return. Perhaps she should go find him? She could follow his scent. Crystal decided she had just as well hunt him down..It was so much better than sleeping. Crystal's instincts told her that she needed to move silently and swiftly, so that is exactly what she did.

Fang scented the wind and found that one more scent had accompanied the other three, but it was quite a distance away from the other three. He then recognized the scent as Crystal's and muttered,"Well, what fun." How was he going to explain hiimself? Oh well, might as well get the drop on the three that were coming his way. He then changed into his werewolf form which was all black, preparing to destroy whoever came his way.

Kai-syroan leaned back against the trees trunk and gazed off into the distance. He noticed the female vampire advancing, appearing to be slightly confused in searching. He pulled back his hood, letting the wind rush through his long, silver hair and sensed an attacker pounce at the werewolf from behind...

Fang had noticed the attacker's approach at the last possible second and managed to dodge to the side. Barely escaping the figure's attack, Fang uses the momentum of the figure's leap against him and smacks the opponent's back.

Crystal heard fighting ahead, and ran towards the sounds. "Wouldn't want to miss out on all the fun." Crystal said, grinning at Fang.

Kai-Syroan made a small flare of light energy and flicked it towards the attackers face to get a better look at them. He raised an eyebrow and smirked alittle at what he saw,

"Hmph, interesting."

Fang had been quiet when he fought his opponents and that they seemed to disquiet them. As well as making them hesitate slightly in their movements. Even Fang's eyes seemed to be dry of emotion. His dark eyes seemed to be cold, even colder than the nights in some of the coldest places known. As he sent one of his two opponents crashing into a tree trunk, he rolled his eyes and replied to Crystal,"Whatever happened to sleeping?"

"I wasn't tired." Crystal said. She didn't feel the need to tell him about her nightmares.. Crystal decided to take out some of her stress on one of the intruders. She picked him up and threw him hard. A sickening crack came from his back bone, which had been broken. Crystal pulled out her pocket knife and finished the guy off by slitting his throat.

Fang gave her a look as he sent the last of the would be attackers flying into the lake. Instead of asking his questions, he left her alone. If it was about her past then he understood why he kept these things from him. However, he knew that she would have to tell him soon so that they may continue to survive. "Alright, to get some shut-eye. Let's go," he said as he changed back into his human form.

Kai-Syroan smirked as the two convey in conversation. He stood up on the branch and lifted his hood back up. He inclined his head slightly before leaping from the tree and disappearing into the darkness leaving no traces or whispers of sound.

"Sleep...Right.." Crystal mumbled. "Come on then.." Crystal said,leading the way back to the inn.

Wanabli had barely made it to the bed in her room before the strain of music she had supperssed was back and more insitent. It wrapped her mind up in a suddenness that gave her no room to think, wraping her in a blanket of pure sound, filling her mind. With the musice that stole her thoughts came sensations like memories, in a sort of vision she could never make sense of. This one was familiar, because the music that had caught her was also the tune she hummed endlessly under her breath throughout the day. She dances to a slow waltz, and dind't even feel the tears fall down her cheeks.
When the music had finally let her go, it was near dawn. She couldn't stand the though of sleep, where the echoing dredges of sound would haunt her, so soon after one of her little 'episodes'. She washed the tear tracks from her face but could do nothing for her slighly reddened eyes, and left her room with her satchel(messenger bag type thing) holding everything she cared to wn or needed and headed downstairs to get some breakfast, hoping it would help.

Fang barely slept in his chair that he had positioned next to the door, so he decided that he would stare at the window next to Crystal's bed. Just to be sure that no one would be able to catch them off guard. He hoped Crystal would be able to sleep this time. After a few hours of having Crystal within his vision, he began to realize how beautiful she was. He ignored the feelings that were growing inside him and took a small nap that lasted 'til morn.

Crystal lay on her bed, gazing up at the ceiling. The people that had attacked earlier..Was that a sign that Crystal and Fang had been spotted and needed to move on to a different location? Crystal certainly hoped not. Once they put an end to this horrible war, they could finally live in peace. Crystal looked over at Fang, who was sleeping peacefully in a chair. 'Wonder what he'll do when this war is over.' Crystal thought. She shrugged and closed her eyes, hoping for some peaceful sleep.


Edit:

Unfortunately, Crystal's wish for peaceful sleep did not come true. He came to her in her nightmares, the man who had turned her. He raped her, and then, to make her remember him forever, he turned her. The bond between a vampire and their sire was a hard one to break. Crystal knew that she must kill her sire, so that she wouldn't be bound to him any longer. Until then, he had some control over her and what she did. She had to kill him for her freedom.

As usual, Crystal's nightmare replayed the night that she was turned. She tossed and turned in her sleep, mumbling the words "no..stop...please."
