He looked at her as she had moved closer to him, letting her cover him with the blanket as he would pull her closer to him, cuddling with her on the couch. Holding her, he nuzzled her back, she helped distract him from the thunder but he sighed softly, "Fourth of july is going to be a pain in the rear..." be joked some as he held her, "Thank you for cuddling with me under the blanket." He said happily as he did feel his tail wagging but he was still getting use to his new body, "So... what had you learned from being like this for so long?" He asked wondering if he should expect anything or know of any cons shes experienced.

Mira smiles as he thanks for her cuddling with him underneath the blanket. She nuzzles him as her own tail wags happily. When he asks her what she's learned from being like they were for so long, she says "Well the main thing is that my feelings are stronger than a human's feelings would be when it comes to things I care about or love. I can even smell some diseases with the body of others, sort of like a dog who's trained to do so. The only difference is that it's stronger, more primal than a dog's sense of smell." She says looking up at him. She wasn't aware of the switch going on within her body right now.

Hearing what she said, he guessed that had been apart of her training or testing before be was brought in as care taker since he felt that he couldnt figure out if a person smelled like they were sick or of what diseases they could have. Either way, he held her on the couch but as he thought about her smell, it smelled different then usual. He then remembered the date, it was close to her time of the month, so he figured he would help her by treating her to her favorite snacks. He had smelled her at times the past couple of months they had been together where she would snap at him or be aggitated, so he figured out that bringing her snacks made her happy. Oddly enough though, where the people running the small town they called home had helped him get a job working at the general store of the town, he found that each day he came home, it was relaxing and attracting, as if each morning he didnt want to go to work. Til one day he opened the door and the next thing he knew, it was morning. He woke up, a bit groggy and slightly sore, but as he moved, he felt someone in his arms and realized it was Mira. It didnt take a scientist to know what they did but he didnt remember a bit of it. When she began waking up, probably from him moving, she would be cuddled against him, "Good morning Mira... um, I guess its safe to say we had taken the next step together..." he said softly but was nervous since he didnt remember the night before.

Mira smiles as she wakes up in Cody's arms that morning. "I guess we did." She says before she nuzzles her head underneath his own with the happiest smile on her face. Her tail starts wagging off the side of the bed as she stays close to Cody, unable to recall the events of the night before either. All she remembered was the sense of euphoria within her body, and that was it. She then kisses Cody happily. "I'm glad we did though, love." She says as she lays her head on his chest and looks up at him lovingly.

When she nuzzled her head under his, he realized she didnt care they did it, and seemed to be more then happy about it. He smiled and gently held her, kissing her back, gently smiling, "Im glad we did too." He said softly, but then the next couple of days, he would come home to her strong scent and they spent the nights together again,but he was still slightly concerned about the first night's blackout. He ended up making a meeting with the scientist that was there doctor, and explained the blackout, "Oh. Congrats are in order then." the doctor said as Cody was confused, "Why?" He asked as the doctor explained, "Normally, Mira would have her natural cycle, however, since shes now had a good home, a family, basically been at her happiest life, because she has you, her body decided it was time to go into heat and create a new life." they explained as Cody froze up, "Wait... heat as in, very likely we are..." "Yes... expecting." they finished as Cody was shocked, them having a kid was a bit sooner in his plan but he thanked the doctor and would leave.

He couldnt believe this but he had to go speak with her parents about something serious. Eventually he would be home late, "Mira?" He called out but when she arrived, he looked softly down, "Mira, we need to talk... its about us. We, well you went into heat recently and these past few nights have been amazing. However I dont think we can keep doing this, I mean, dating is nice but its not right for us to be, experiencing this and just be dating." He said not having planned for it sounding like he was breaking up, but he moved to her and kneeled, "So instead of dating... will you agree to marry me, to be my wife and mate." He said lovingly, pulling out a beautiful bracelet, since a ring would be awkward on her paw likr hand.

Mira was taken by surprise when Cody says those first few words but when he pulled out the bracelet, her tail starts wagging and she hugs Cody with a happy smile and happy tears in her eyes saying "Oh yes! A thousand times yes!" before she kisses him lovingly. She hugs him as she nuzzles against him. She hoped that they'd have a healthy baby and they would be as happy as they are now. Mira couldn't believe that she was going to be with Cody for the rest of her life. She was so happy.

Cody found that she was excited, she hugged him and had accepted his proposal as he hugged her back, kissing her and nuzzling her back. He smiled as he held her, but would help her put the bracelet on. He explained that she had gone into heat, and that likely she was pregnant, which she took better then he imagined. He gently placed a hand on her stomach, "When you were in that cell, did you imagine this day would come? That you... that we, would get married and have a child on the way?" He asked curiously to her.

"I thought those days were over back then, but I couldn't be happier to be with you and our baby." She says looking up at him lovingly as he places a hand on her stomach, her tail wagging happily. She could only hope that their little one would be born healthy and would be well loved by everyone around them.

He smiled as he nodded, he figured that she probably saw her future as over being locked up, but now she had him, and they had their growing family. He did have a slight worry, canines generally had litters and where he figured they were human enough that wasnt the case, their was still the idea of them probably having a big family in the future, future heats to worry about. He shook his head lightly getting the worry from his head, they would worry about that later.

A few months had passed, they officially got married and Cody couldnt believe bow beaitufl Mira looked in a wedding dress. This morning, he woke up, holding Mira in his arms as he gently rubbed her growing belly, they had confirmed it was only one but he couldnt have been happier. Rubbing her belly softly, he carefully got out of bed, going to the kitchen to make breakfast for his lovely wife and himself.

Mira wakes up as Cody was making breakfast, the smell of the food hitting her nose. She smiles as she sits up with a stretch and goes to the kitchen as she does every morning since they've been married. She hugs Cody from behind and says "Good morning, my love." She says sweetly as she hugs him careful not to squish their unborn baby. They were anxious to find out if their baby was a boy or a girl. They'd decided to keep the baby's name a secret from her parents until it was born since they wanted to surprise them by making the baby's middle name her father or mother's first name. Of course that would depend on the baby's gender. Mira didn't care if they had a boy or girl though, since as long as their baby was born healthy and happy. Mira kisses Cody's cheek as her tail wags behind her her arms wrapped around Cody's waist happily.

He heard her walking into the kitchen but felt her hug him from behind, he gently rubbed her arm lightly as he would turn his head to meet her kiss after she kissed his cheek, "Good morning my love, how are my two loves doing?" He asked happily, as he loved looking at his pregnant wife, thinking of how nervous but how excited it was being a dad to a new species. He would get breakfast near done, letting it finish cooking as he turned around to kiss her better, gently holding his hands to her belly, "How did you and our little one sleep?" He asked happily as he had felt that either gender would make him happy.

Mira smiles as he rubs her arm lightly and kisses her. "We both slept very well knowing we have such a great protector." She says smiling up at him happily. She truly loved being next to Cody every night. Plus with their newest addition on the way, she was even happier that it was Cody's pup. "How did you sleep, my love?" She says looking into his eyes, her own icy blue eyes looking as happy as ever.

He smiled back as he would be happy to hear that she slept well, though he didnt feel like a protector, he was simply her caretaker that was her husband. He gently rubbed her belly til he would finish cooking, "I slept great, had a few dreams about us with out son or daughter playing at the park." He said kindly but he did finish plating breakfast, "Do you every think about how even though it was horrible with what happened, that we are making the natural born generation of our humanoid wolf being? I mean, our son and daughter already shows signs of being like us, but do you feel proud that we are the start of a new species or feel sad that it happened to us?" He asked curiously as they would sit and begin eating.

Mira smiles. "I'm actually very happy that we get to experience this. Yes I have my worries about our family being accepted, but we're not alone. We have my mom and dad. Plus we have other families that are mostly going through the same thing by now. It's not like we're doing this on our own." She says as she sits at the table. He told her about his family while they were dating, so she was sure he wouldn't want them in their baby's life. She places a gentle hand on his and says "And we have each other. Don't forget that." as she smiles at him her tail wagging behind her.

He lightly nodded, "I guess thats a good way to think about it since youre not wrong, I heard Steven and Jessica are having a baby, they just had an ultrasound and despite Steven being human, their baby looks to be like Jessica." He said as Jessica had been one of the other experiments, though hers had been of a different species from Mira. He had talked about his folks, about how growing up had been rough where his father had not been around due to gambling debts and being hunted down by mobsters. His mother was a druggie and sadly he cut ties with her years ago and she just seemed to drop off the face of the earth. He didnt know where she was and honestly, he hoped she wasnt in pain but he hoped never to see her again. He had a new life, a new family and everything felt good, "I wouldnt want anything else in the world then you, and our family." He said as his tail wagged as well. He lightly laughed, "I just realized, our child is going to be a menace during the terrible twos... they are going to probably have puppy like zoomies only with thumbs." He joked playfully.
