o well that does not sound fun. insurgency is a really good mod hl2 mod but I guess that's it for that (you probably already know i think this). hm i got the first monkey island just now and I cannot play it (not literally). I will try worms when I run out of things to do pretty soon, if it's pirateable. but with all this old game talk you made me want to get out my old EPIC MEGAGAMES cd. man there is some good stuff on there! right now I'm playing through God of Thunder again and I also installed OMF. I hope I can get Dare to Deam to work too because that was great////I should upload these things to the zoo sometime they're all better than modern games

sam also said something about setting up a party for me and then inviting me and having that be a birthday party but really those plans rarely pan out.

ughghghgu hi just read over coolsnax again and that thread bugs the s**t out of me. like all of the on-topic posts are great (although the slight commentary kind of sucks and the getting an account banned for something that was obviously not the case) but then impeal just starts bitching and some people are just like 'lol postin' in thread don't understand a word commin out but thats' cool right heh i'm a useful member' and even my pretty on-topic post that was mostly meant to say 'hey' it's all grhrh

i'm not really sure how to describe this and it will just end up being a rant/boring anecdote with no real point but oh well.

okay so jess, sam, steph and i went to see jen in some production of 'pippin'. none of us knew what pippin was about but i assumed it was the story of one small boy trying to make his way on broadway (or something like that, it was a vague thought). anyway, all preconceptions were pretty quickly proven incorrect because when we walked in there was a gameshow set up and this very... oily, kind of (that voice and the very flowing movements and occasionally there was some little richard in there) guy introduced the main character, pippin, who's the son of charlesmagne. he sings some song about ambitions and his place in the world with lots and lots of overexaggerated hand motions and at the end he tries

well actually i will just outline the plot and then make a list of highlights, i guess.

-Leading Player comes in, The Company is introduced, pippin is introduced, 'lightning round' mentioned
-pippin comes home, father issues made apparent, evil (and promiscuous i guess) stepmother introduced, WWF fan half-brother introduced
-pippin decides that he needs to fight in a war to become a man and gain his father's admiration, war is fought, mortality and morality are discovered
-pippin visits his grandmother for advice, she tells him to have fun with life
-pippin has an orgy!
-pippin realizes that his father is sometimes tyrannical, decides to lead a revolution
-charlesmagne is killed in a church by pippin
-pippin realizes it's a drag to have to rule and he sucks at it
-Leading Player reanimates charlesmagne's corpse, he rules again
-pippin is depressed, stumbles upon catherine who tries to cheer him up
-by having sex with him
-catherine's son's duck dies, catherine and pippin get closer
-pippin decides to leave
-Leading Player and Company show up, pressure pippin to use the lightning round, reveal what the lightning round is (suicide)
-catherine convinces pippin to not die, Leading Player freaks out and calls off the show (which is the whole show so far, apart from brief interludes)
-catherine's son figures that hmm maybe this suicide thing isn't so bad...


-the guy playing the Leading Player was really good. everyone else was okay maybe. jen had a very minor role but she actually acted and most of the other people kind of went through their roles very woodenly and sloppily.
-the costumes were uh pretty good. they were basically the actual actors' clothes except for a few instances. one guy wore a hoodie for the entire play and when everyone else had to wear a hood for the church scene he just flipped the hood up. any other costumes were basically old halloween 'scream' costumes.
-the weapons were kind of funny. jen fought with a dragon claw axe and someone else had a sword from naruto.
-when pippin kills charlesmagne, he is dressed in a large, billowy robe with a hood and he pulls out a collapsible lightsaber which he uncollapses and whacks charlesmagne with.
-when Leading Player reanimates charlesmagne, he points his index fingers at the slumped body and goes 'bzzzzzzzzt'
-there were a lot of nazi propaganda film clips/images of dead bodies and shelled towns being played on the TV next to the stage a lot of the time.
-there is an interpretive dance of sex. the two people who performed it were really, really, reaaaalllly into it. i'm not sure if they were entirely serious but yeah.
-the lightning round. it was supposed to be a pit of fire or something but instead it was a store mannequin in sleepwear on a cardboard pedestal with a smoke machine under it. strangely, i got the general idea despite this.
-well the acting in general. it was either over the top or really sloppy and it just made the whole thing a lot more fun to watch.


it's hard to describe and i'm pretty crappy at describing things but yeah i laughed more than i have in a really long time.

no, i haven't heard of insurgency before actually. it looks good though, the graphics (most important aspect of every game) are very realistic and the gameplay is supposed to be as well from what i read. i might try it but i doubt these computers will run it.

worms world party is up on the zoo and i torrented it, so it is very piratable. can't play monkey island how? i haven't played that one in a while but i think mostly you have to wander around and go to every area and pick up everything you can. i would like to at least try these games because i have never played them before!

this is my list of classes: intro to comp sci, religion and the internet, psychology of women, freshman seminar: the myth of frankenstein, beginning swimming. i feel like i screwed up that course selection pretty bad but i want to know if i like psychology and i want to learn more about religion and i want to know if i have the right kind of logical mind for programming so i think it works.

well i was pretty unclear. the starting time was somewhere between 3 and 5 and there was no set ending time (when people felt like it). i really only told sam, but she tends to rally people. it was fun! and we have one month to do something. if you have any ideas i would be good with pretty much anything.

i think i will just ignore everything impeal does. he can be funny sometimes but mostly he is just very, very annoying.

also yeah i'm not sure when i started going 'gh' but it is a little more calming than fff. you are free to distribute it as long as i am credited and given lots of money for my copyrighted portion of the alphabet

actuallyI got bored with it since I posted that. it gets repetitive fast but I think I'll go back to it (same with the ship really). worms ok I will download it for my laptop/maybe play it during seashore downtime then. I tried to play monkey island 1 but I just couldn't keep interested in it, I stopped right after the pirates. actually the only reason I can probably keep interested in a lot of these games I've found is nostalgia eh. I'll make a req thread in the zoo soon though so you can see what I have/what you want

yeah, ship is good in small doses. i kind of always thought it was like the sims but first person and with bounty hunting and there's only so much time in a day you can devote to making a fake person not smell bad. and for monkey island i think you have to like adventure games in general (...do you? ...inside?)

some games that i have been meaning to try out just went up on the zoo! deus ex, kotor (well half of it) and planescape:torment will but up soon. i'm not sure if any of those sound terribly exciting to you but i'm not sure if you're bored with games in general at this point and childhood nostalgia is the only thing keepin' you going.

it will probably be pretty interesting. and yeah i have no idea what religion and the internet is (neopets?). that's partially why i'm taking it, though.

i am trying to think of things around here that people do. is there anything that you realllllly want to do? probably not :/ oh well okay if we don't do anything by the thirteenth then we gotta double-time it because i'm going away on the sixteenth and after that i will be packing for two days.

both! i think that the musical has the potential to be much better and it didn't make me feel as terrible as most musicals do (too sugary; music is unnecessary). but yeah i laughed pretty much the whole time and at one point there was audience participation and damn it i participated.

i very rarely get mad at my friends and i'm not sure i've ever been mad at you so NOPE. i was a little disappointed initially but i gave really short notice! although i guess for future reference thanks i will swear lots and use angry faces.


got a new computer! it is a shiny dell with DUAL CORE and GRPAHIHX card and RAM gAlOrE but yeah half-life 2 looks AMAZING and it actually runs smoothly!

well i started deus ex and so far it looks pretty good. i mean the graphics are kind of dated (it came out around the same time as hl1) but it seems fun. i'm not really stealthy so i haven't gotten very far yet. gothic is also really dated and man the opening credits made me laugh but i can't figure out how to pick stuff up/talk to people (it doesn't seem to be in the control scheme). kotor and planescape aren't up yet but i haven't really heard anything bad about either of them.

i have $48 in my wallet right now and that's probably about as much as i have. and yeah i don't really mind not being able to buy things. i don't think there would be too much of an issue about the driving (do you look like a deranged maniac/bike gang member) but yeah mostly it is where. friggin --- we will do something

there was a song and i sang and also there was some clappin' involved and i clapped. it was kind of funny and kind of fun
