RenFlower, SHUT UP about the hormones!!!!! find a new arguement. if a man and woman are married and the woman "loves" another man and that destroys the marriage how is love always good. was it God that caused the adultery? no. was it the devil causing that woman to sin? yes. what is called love is not always love. it's lust and it's a product of the devil. and news flash this country was founded on protestant beliefs. and the bible dose say that sodomy is a sin. just because you do not believe what is written does not mean that you can change it. homosexuals should not be married in my opinion. and they definately should not be allowed to be married in the house of God. it is NOT a biblical marriage and therefore should not take place in a place of worship. It may start off as civil union but then the gay won't be happy with that and they'll argue that they want it to be call marriage. they'll have their little protests and make false accusations aboiut one thing or another until they get their way.

What the hell? Have you read a word that I wrote?! I haven't mentioned hormones for pages now! And even though i haven't it is a vital argument! Also, I agree that the bible says it is a sin! I just think that we shouldn't base our laws off of a religious text. Also, we are NOT debating over whether it is write or wrong! We are debating over whether or not it should be legal! Also, there is no proof that sodomy is evil, just a text written a thousand years ago that has been traslated dozens of times. We don't even know how accurate it is! Im not insulting all you bible bangers out there, im just saying that the government shouldn't base its laws off of it, so I will NOT SHUT UP!!!!

Not all christians are bible bangers! we just stand up for what we believe in. and actually there are more references that say that what the bible says is true than there are of Alexander the Great's existence. i wasn't telling you to shut up about everything. just the hormones. you speak so much of society and yet you are still a child. you probably just repeat what your parents say. do not act like you have seen the world and all it has to offer and all that should be changed when you haven't even seen all of highschool yet.

I do NOT appreciate that last comment!!! For one thing, my parents are CONSERVATIVES! Half my beliefs are the OPPOSITE of theirs! Also, I WILL shut up about the hormones if you give me a decent arguement against that particular point! Also, DON'T judge me by my age! How do you know how old i am anyway? And truthfully, I don't like MY beliefs being flamed either! But, I will apologize about the bible banger comment. I, uh, didn't know it would be that offensive. sweatdrop I read that phrase in a Christian novel my friend was reading in study hall... but STILL! I just don't see why we should base our laws off of a religious text that not all citizens follow!

i'm sorry i voiced that opinion however i cannot say that you weren't asking or it at one point. i suggest that in the future before you use phrase you think about the possibilities that they may be offensive. and by the way. if you do not wish for people to know how old you are you should take your birthday off of your profile. it's n9ot hard to do the math. i do have an argument for the hormones. if hormones causes a middle aged man to love little boys and those boys "love" him back and that allows him to mollest (ok i kniow that isn't spelled right) countless children how is that "love" which is caused by the hormones good?

Oops, didn't know that was on my profile. Anyways, no it isn't right because little boys are too young to know what love is and have not fully developed their hormones yet. Once they are older they are free to do as they choose, and if the man doesn't still love them, then I suppose it isn't really "love" then is it? Also, how was I ASKING FOR IT?! I'm just stating my opinions, and you had NO RIGHT to assume that I am only repeating my parents opinions, and that I have none of my own! Also, when you come up with a decent argument against why they shouldn't marry BESIDES the bible, which cannot be used as religion is not allowed to interfere with politics, then I will shut up about it!

If a church/mosque/temple wants to marry a gay couple I say let them. Who am I to tell certain religions who they can and cannot marry? It's their morals, they can do whatever they want to. Plus why should I care in the first place? How is Jerry and Bob's marriage affecting Sue and Larry's marriage?

She's right though, the biggest threat to marriage is divorce, so ban that first before you go off and start putting any other laws over religious institutions. 60% of heterosexual marriages are ending in divorce these days. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divorce

I must be part of a small minority of Republicans who believe that gay's and lesbian's should be allowed to marry and have the same rights as straight people.
First of all, love is love, no matter what.
Two, God loves all of his children. If people claim that God hates gays (*cough*Westboro*cough*), then why didn't God fix it in the first place.
Three, homosexuals are people too.
Four, Pasithea is right about this one. Divorce is what is really threatening marriage. I have friends whose parents are divorced and it took a toll on them. I think the mistake is that people just want to get married just for the hell of it instead of marrying for love.

Well, marriage is about religion, so if the religion allows it, but if we wanted to go with that logic, we should allow bestiality, and polygamist

Now for Ren's Rambles, why I'm pro-same sex marriage heart :

1. They're going to have sex anyways, why not do it holy.

2. Why should people who happen to be attracted to people of the same gender be denied the rights straight people have?

3. Their attractions to each other are biologically and chemically the same as straight people's attractions.

4. Just because their hormone's, or feelings are different doesn't mean they aren't as good as the rest of us.

5. The classic Love is Love, regardless of gender.

Umm... if you think gay sex, under any circumstance, is holy, u better go read Genesis 19, or Romans 1, or Leviticus 9, or Timothy 1, or one of the millions of scriptures that tell us, IN THE BIBLE, that homosexuality is a MAJOR SIN... How can anything that's a MAJOR SIN be holy?

Well, that's right, well I may have faked it...

Now, I'm not homophobic, but I don't believe in Gay Marrage.

It's nothing to do with my faith as a Christian or my affiliation with the republican party.
It's mainly because of legal things.
Such as name change.
And other reasons.

Gay marriage is odd.
Especially since one gender[male] is supposed to be the dominant one.
It's a mental thing. Males are typically more dominant while females are more submissive.

...and I wouldn't be caught dead in this place.
