Lokelonni nodded in Kerana's direction and said genially, "Thank you, dear. Could I trouble you to guide my hands to where things are? After all, I cannot call you every time I would like to use the kitchen."

Alec tried to reply to Kerana's mental inquiries, but he found it difficult to concentrate when he was being inundated with all sorts of questions.

"So, Alec, how old are you?"

Technically twenty. "I'm eighteen, ma'am."

"And how long have you known, Kerana?"

"Um, about three months. We met in Poetry Club."

"There's a school here?"

"Yes ma'am. Miss Morris insists we get at least a high school education while we're here."

"That's very good! I was afraid my little girl had missed out on school while she's been living here."

Lokelonni tapped Kerana's arm to get the kitsune girl's attention. She motioned for her student to get closer and then whispered almost inaudibly into her ear, "I thought it best to withhold certain potentially catastrophic information from your mother for the time being. She believes I am your personal tutor, and that you have a deep connection to Alec after bringing him back to life."

Kerana nodded "mmhmm". She heard her mom drilling Alec, it faded to the background as she was focused on placing Lokelonni's hands on the location of the cold kettle. Then she whispered in the kitsune's ears she felt relieved. Then she mention bringing him back to life. This caused her to worry Looks like Lokelonni has refrained from speaking about what will be happening in the next six months. Not sure if she said anything of what I'm capable of now.

Lokelonni could sense her relief and worry with the way she was holding her hands.

She nodded at Dawn.

"Yeah, but he'll get used to it. My sleep depends on it. I've finally been able to do so in months and now this little rascal is keeping me from it."

Her voice went baby mode for the little kid.

"Which can turn me into a little banshee, yes it can. Because of youuu."

Then shortly after the laughter and chaos unfolded thanks to Ravan. It was nice to see them happy like this. Moments like this is what made it all worth it. All of the struggling, the suffering, the constant fighting. She knew it wasn't over yet but they were currently in paradise and she would give anything to keep them there.

Crys looked down at the child in her arms and saw that he was now sleeping peacefully. Was it really the chaos that calmed him down?

"Oh you're going to be a little chaos gremlin, aren't you?"

"I would like to visit that. It is strange that they deem some of those mammals to be intelligent and yet lock them up for their entertainment."

"If you would have gotten into a fight, I would have stopped you. Your current strength would be too much to most to handle. You only got naked when you slept."

Liv groaned again, got off the bed and slowly made her way over to the door, yawning once more while stretching a bit. Her hair was far from perfect as it usually was. She opened the door,

"Damian....just....get this over with....I'm sleepy."

Lokelonni placed a reassuring hand on Kerana's back and whispered, "Do not fret, dear. Raina and I have spent the last half hour getting to know one another. I told her that your power has evolved, and that you are now a healer. Not the whole truth, but enough for now."

Raina asked Alec to sit so that she could continue their interview in comfort. "So what do you do, Alec."

I'm The Grim Reaper. "I...don't actually have a job right now. We're provided for here, and anything we do outside of school is mostly voluntary."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I meant what do you do as in what is your power?"

Oh boy. "I can see into possible futures."

"You're a fortune teller?"

Alec winced. "It's, not nearly as simple as that..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I what?!"
Fenris looked down at herself and yelped in abashed horror. She covered her chest with her arms, put her tail between her legs, and slammed her knees together.
"You perverted sack of s**t!" she yelled. That outburst caused the local wolves to back away in fear. "Would it have killed you to put a blanket over me or something?!"
She looked around frantically for her clothes, and then she remembered what she was capable of. With a disgusted groan, she willed her body to create new clothing for her. It was a simple pair of sweatpants and a white t-shirt that had a crescent moon on it. Once the sensation of her skin crawling subsided, she stood up and glared down at Legio. "If you weren't invincible, I'd beat you until candy came out!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Damien's eyes were sunken and dark. He hadn't slept. He wouldn't sleep. Not until his task was done. He wasted no time. Not a warning, not a breath taken. The moment Liv finished speaking, Damien took her wrist and initiated the connection.

Time slowed down to a halt around Liv Crystalion. Behind Damien stood two people adorned in radiant finery. A man and a woman who shared many features.

The glowing woman spoke first with a melancholic yet hopeful tone, "Salutations, young mortal. I am Aurora, the aspect of vivid warmth."

"And I am Lucent, the aspect of lustrous revelation." said the man, his tone more authoritative.

"As inescapable as this all seems, we want to thank you for your aid."

"Use the gift of our boon, to brighten humanity's future."

The light that enveloped Liv was greater than any before, but unlike before it didn't subside. It only became more vibrant. A pleasant voice sang through her mind. "The circuit is complete. Prepare to receive the absolute blessing."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"...so it's less the definitive future and more the most likely of many. I'm really sorry if that freaks you out, I know that-"
"The circuit is complete. Prepare to receive the absolute blessing."
The steam in the kettle began to whistle just as an ethereal light enveloped Alec. The light was soon followed by wisps of ghostly blue fire that sang a wonderful but dirge-like song.
"¡Ay Dios mío!" Raina shrieked as she tried to scramble out of her chair.
Alec looked down and around at himself. He stood up to try and calm Kerana's mother, and Kerana herself since she would most likely be freaking out. But he only managed to say, "Please don't be scared! It's not-" before he collapsed and was softly placed down by the singing flames. With the steady rise and fall of his chest, he looked as though he was sleeping.
Lokelonni swiftly clasped Kerana's upper arm and commanded, "Do not touch him, and do not be afraid."
She did not need her eyes to know what was happening. Because it had happened in the first of her many lives. "He is ascending."
"So wha' i' you chang' the shark hlug? Woul' ha' fick the hesiaion hrolen'?" Theresa asked with half a waffle in her mouth
"The circuit is complete. Prepare to receive the absolute blessing."
Theresa swallowed and looked around for the song-like voice."Didja hear that?"
She hear what sounded like a cracking noise somewhere below her, which caused her to look down. She saw a patch of stone on the back of her hand. She tilted her head curiously and tried to flick it off with her other hand. But it didn't come off. It was part of her skin. Another patch appeared on the back of her other hand. Each time Theresa looked somewhere else there were more patches of stone that were appearing and connecting all over her.
"Ako?! Somethings wrong!" she whined desperately.
She tried to pick off the stones, but it didn't take long for her joints to start locking up. Theresa was rapidly finding it more difficult to move. She slid off the counter then fell hard on her hands and knees. She reached out to Ako just as her face was engulfed in the sediment. She stopped moving once the stone shell snapped into place.
Almost a minute passed with her frozen in place, and the shell began to crack. With a defiant push and a gasp, Theresa broke through the stone imprisonment. She coughed, stood up, and notice that her clothes no longer fit. The floor seemed farther away from her, and she noticed that she was shaped differently.
"Ako? I feel weird." she said. She made a face at the alien sound of her own voice.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ravan's laughter slowed and she looked up at the sleeping toddler. "Well wouldja lookit that?" she quipped with a grin. "I went and did something right. Suck it, Dawn."
PostPosted: Thu Oct 28, 2021 9:14 am
Ako looked up curiously at Theresa and asked, "That...actually would. How did you know that?"

She looked around, which caused Ako to look around. "Hear what? Only things I hear are turning wrenches and you munching on waAH! Theresa!"

He had just gotten to his feet when she stopped being able to move. Frantically, Ako grabbed a mechanics hammer from his tool rack and rose his arm to break her out. He paused and mid swing and swore to himself for being so thoughtless. What if he didn't just break the shell, but break her as well. He dropped the hammer and went back to his tool box. He searched desperately for anything that could serve as a chisel or a pick. That's when he heard the cracking.

He turned around and watched as slim woman in her early twenties with Theresa's hair and clothes emerged from the stone shell. Their eyes met, and then she spoke. There was no doubt about it. The adult standing in front of him in ill fitting clothes was Theresa.

"I...think we need to go see Gidget."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The flames danced, sang, and multiplied as they enveloped Alec in their warm glow. In less than a minute they began to dissipate, and their song became quiet. Once they had gone, Alec groaned and brought himself up to his hands and knees. "Ugh...what happened?"
Lokelonni let go of Kerana with a nod and allowed her to assist Alec. "You have ascended, Alec. You have become more human than human. The peak of your species."
"What?" he asked with groggy confusion. Once he got to his feet the extent of his changes had been made clear. His body was no longer scrawny, but firm with lean muscle and definition that he never thought he'd be able to achieve. His hair had also grown a bit longer and were tipped with the otherworldly blue of his flames.
Raina made that sign of the cross over her body and leaned against the nearest wall. "Those flames. That song. He has been touched by God."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Dawn rolled her eyes and huffed, "That doesn't count. I said you'd never be able to lull a baby to sleep. Not rattle it until it passes out."

Leo got up and got changed with the others. Modesty mattered little to the three of them when they shared such close spaces for so long. "Y'know Mom, there are people here who'll take care of the kids for us so we can rest."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heather held her arms up and shielded her eyes from the light. She didn't remember it being so overpowering when it happened to her. When it finally subsided, Liv stood there alone. Damien was nowhere to be found.
"Liv? Liv, are you okay?" she asked with distress.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Well I hope you got a good look, 'cuz you're never gonna-"

Glowing orbs of light blinked in and encased Fenris and Legio. They then immediately blinked out and deposited them in a space of neverending white.

"-see my...my...where the ******** are we?"

Damien, who stood just behind Legio, uttered, "I think...this is the end,"

Out of the ether appeared eight figures that surrounded the trio. Four men, and four women, each encased in a respective aura of various colors. The first to speak was the man with a vibrant red aura.

"You are close, child of Legion, but you are not quite correct. This is not the end, but not the beginning either. Where we are is where all space exists beyond the expanse. It is nothing, and it is everything. We call it, Empyrean."

The next to speak was a woman with a green aura.

"Within this void, we will judge what is to be done with the last remnants of The Legion, herald of that which blocks the sky and devours worlds. It is here that you will plead your case."

Kerana sighed in relief. She very much wanted to be honest with her mother. Right now though, she felt she couldn't handle the truth, but could in time. A healer was a good explanation for now and she could work with that, especially since for a little while she was constantly healing Alec so that he could remain among the realm of the living. Then Lokelonni was able to enable her to let Alec be among the land of the living on his own. So, labeling her healer wasn't too much of a stretch.

But he only managed to say, "Please don't be scared! It's not-" before he collapsed and was softly placed down by the singing flames. With the steady rise and fall of his chest, he looked as though he was sleeping.

It was sudden both things happened at once. Though the kettle was whistling Kerana was drawn to what was happening to Alec. He was engulfed in bright light followed by the blue flames she had grown accustomed to, then he blacked out. "ALEC!" Every fiber in her wanted to rush to him and help him. But she was stopped.

Rikki Tikki Travi
Lokelonni swiftly clasped Kerana's upper arm and commanded, "Do not touch him, and do not be afraid."

She did not need her eyes to know what was happening. Because it had happened in the first of her many lives. "He is ascending."

"What? Ascending?" Kerana felt confused. She thought by taking the mantel of death would be the full extent of his ascension. She wondered how this happened? What triggered this? Why couldn't she see this coming when their thoughts are connected? Will this happen to her at some point?

Rikki Tikki Travi
The flames danced, sang, and multiplied as they enveloped Alec in their warm glow. In less than a minute they began to dissipate, and their song became quiet. Once they had gone, Alec groaned and brought himself up to his hands and knees. "Ugh...what happened?"

Raina made that sign of the cross over her body and leaned against the nearest wall. "Those flames. That song. He has been touched by God."

She couldn't help but worry for Alec as his body became engulphed in flames. Her eyes were moistened with tears in them. With her other hand she covered her mouth. Although this lasted a minute in real time it felt like an eternity for her.

As soon as Lokelonni let her she rushed to him to help him up. Lokelonni addressed the kettle. As she was helping him up Kerana noticed his hair was very similar to that of the vision they shared last night. He looked different, not the scrawny shy guy she met in Poetry Club a few months ago. So much has changed in the past couple of days. He sported a new confidence when he came back from the dead and looked a couple of years older too. Now this? She couldn't help but having to keep asking herself Is this the same Alec?. Like before when she observed his changes, she started to blush as she found herself staring, "Sorry. It's a lot to take in. How are you feeling? Do you know what caused this?" Her last question was meant for either Alec or Lokelonni to answer.

She noticed her mom doing the sign of the cross. Though she knew there was other stuff at play, she decided not to correct her.

She needed to notify someone … Gidget. She wanted to send photos but it didn't feel right, he just got this body and needed to adapt no need for him to feel awkward in the process. Though she did take a photo of him before they arrived to Lekolonni's but that was different.

To: Gidget

Morning Gidget 🌞
It looks like Alec has ascended.
Have you heard if anyone else has run into the same thing?
Have any idea as to what caused this?

"I feel...fine. Great, even." Alec said with mild confidence. He looked down at himself and noticed that his clothes fit him differently than before. Especially his skinny jeans around the thighs and calves. His shirt was a little more tight around the arms and shoulders. Lokelonni had said he was at the peak of humanity. He wondered if...other, areas had been improved. That line of thinking caused him to blush. He shook the thought from his head and looked to Kerana.

"I don't know what happened. I heard a voice in my head that told me to-"

"Prepare to receive the absolute blessing." interjected Lokelonni.

Alec looked to the retired Queen and nodded, "That's right. Exactly that. Next thing I know, I'm surrounded by whispering souls and kissing the floor. Crosis never mentioned anything like this would ever happen."

"That is because he didn't remember that far back. I do. The eighth has been granted their boon, opening the way for the rest to complete their ascension."

"Excuse me. I don't understand what any of that means? Whispering souls? Boons? Ascension? Is that something that could happen to any of us? Just change out of the blue? Like how Kerana grew another tail?"

Lokelonni sighed with some dismay, "Raina, I was truly hoping to have this discussion with you weeks from now, in private, and without the children present. It seems, however, that fortune is not entirely with us today."

She turned her head in Kerana and Alec's general direction and asked, "Kerana, Alec, would you two be so kind as to prepare the tea and set the table for the four of us as I fill Misses Carter in on the basics."

"Y-yes ma'am." Alec replied nervously. He looked to Kerana and asked, "Wanna handle the tea while I get the table?"

To Kerana
Hey Kay.
I don't know what that is.
But if it's anything like the picture Ako just sent me, then I think it happened to Theresa too.
Remember that girl with the multicolored hair that hid in your arms yesterday?

Attachment: A picture from Ako that showed a very curious young woman with colorful pigtails inspecting her hips and backside with the caption, "I know you said she ages quickly, but I don't think this is normal."

"I know sweetie. It's a bit hard for me to not do anything. I've spent months continuously fighting and before that we were always active. I just...need to learn how to slow down again. Besides, look at this cutie. How can I leave this one alone?"

Legio cocked his head a bit at her outburst. He was about to respond before they were blinked out of existence. Instantly he send out a mental ping but felt nothing. Nothing except 3 which was already one more than they started out with. Damian.

"Interesting." Legio responded as he observed the Eight......eight....there was something familiar about them.

"You are the Primantigua...aren't you?"

Liv was half-asleep but not that far away that she didn't notice Damian. He looked like crap. He then made the connection and time stopped and Damian was gone but two others appeared. Twins? Royalty?

"Wait, I-"

"The circuit is complete. Prepare to receive the absolute blessing."

"What?"

There was a sharp inhale but it wasn't air. It was like she inhaled light itself. It began pouring through the entirety of her her body. Racing through her veins, saturating every single fiber of her body. She could feel it churning inside of her as if she wasn being supercharged. All see saw was a kaleidoscope of colors that didn't stop even with her eyes closed. After what felt like an eternity all that light that was firing outwards snapped inwards and Liv stood there.

Everything looked more vibrant than before. Sharper, more defined. Did her eye sight improve? It wasn't something she could see for herself but her eyes were a bit more blue and felt like you could drown in them. Her hair had taken on more of a natural gloss giving it a perfect luster. If she had ever had the need to use make-up before, that was definitely a thing of the past.

"Yeah...I,,uh....I'm awake now. .....that was....that was something. I didn't know I'd be meeting Aurora and Lucent. Did you meet two peope?"

He wondered if...other, areas had been improved. That line of thinking caused him to blush. He shook the thought from his head and looked to Kerana.

Kerana felt relieved when he answered. As he continued to look down at himself she never stopped blushing as she observed what he was observing. Her face went beet red when he started that train of thought OMG! ALEC! When he looked at her, her face was red with glaring eyes. She turned away for a moment and took a deep breath I’m sorry I still hear your thoughts, I don’t blame you for wondering… oh god … oh, you know what I mean. This is quite the opposite set of circumstances. Normally she would be the one to make him blush. Now he didn’t have to do anything that caused her hormones to go into overdrive.

With what little composure she could attain she faced Alec and Lekolonni and focused on the answers they gave. Interesting … Does this mean Damien connected Liv to her boon? Hmm … so this will eventually happen to me … but there’s something else to it. He was able to ascend but not me yet. Why is that?

Her poor mother sat there with all of this, confused as to what was going on. She, along with Lekolonni were hoping to explain this to her later but fate had other plans.

Rikki Tikki Travi
She turned her head in Kerana and Alec's general direction and asked, "Kerana, Alec, would you two be so kind as to prepare the tea and set the table for the four of us as I fill Misses Carter in on the basics."

"Y-yes ma'am." Alec replied nervously. He looked to Kerana and asked, "Wanna handle the tea while I get the table?"

She was glad Lekolonni was willing to explain to her the situation. Even more glad when she gave them a task Oh thank god something to do. His nervous response helped assure that he’s still her Alec. “Sure thing!” She squeaked.

She needed a moment to herself, a moment to remember who he is and that she needed to get past his exterior. It was easier before because although he got older and more confident his exterior didn’t change as drastically as this was. She closed her eyes and remembered their first date a picnic in the park.

Kerana put in the tea bags then let them sit there for a couple of minutes. After she set the timer on the phone she saw a snippet of text from Gidget. She took a closer look.

Hey Alec, I got something from Gidget you may want to look at … She showed him the text. This was the girl we were protecting from Rydia’s eye yesterday. She looked like she was about my age yesterday but your age today. Um… would it be alright if I take photo of you to share with Gidget? she started blushing again Dang it! I’m sorry, this is going to take me a while to adjust.

Theo did his best to listen to the rest. Tried to take it all in.

"You have....you have no idea how wrong you are..about all of this and...if I know you, which I really thought I did, nothing I say will change your mind right now. " He took a deep breath. "You're not....it's..." Theo sighed.

"There are so many more things I want to say but that won't help anything at this point. It'd just be venting on my end and that would just end with us fighting. I really don't want that. I'm really trying not to devolve into that."

Theo let looked at the ceiling and let his head hang a bit. Just let it go.

"Okay...." he said with a soft sigh."Okay." Shoulders slumped.

"We'll....we'll work something out. After all I ca-" He stopped mid-sentence and his head turned instantly towards the direction Theresa was despite not know where she was. Eyes ablaze and he jumped onto his feet.

"Did you feel that? Something....'something' happened to Theresa."

s**t! I'm sorry! I forgot for a second! I didn't mean to...I'm so sorry!

The whole time they set the table, Alec had difficulty looking in Kerana's direction. He couldn't believe he projected his "curiosity" for her to hear. When Kerana shared her text, it broke the tension. He looked at Theresa in the photo and said to Kerana.Maybe this ascension thing, like, upgrades us to where we're at our prime. Early twenties would be about there..

When Kerana projected her question, it was Alec's turn to blush a beet red. No no. It's okay. I don't mind it. Really. It's just very new to me is all. You can send her a picture.

Alec looked down at his hands and twiddled his thumbs a bit as he asked "Do...do you think I should, maybe, take my sweater off?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Silhouette had also felt the ripples that came from the ascension of three people in Valhalla. It reminded her of when it happened to Umbra, her mother.
"He's right, Trinity. Something has happened. Liv has been given her boon, and the ascension of the eight has begun. Yet only three have done so. I know why you haven't, but the others..."
Eclipse.
"b*****d! He's locked three of them into his soldiers. The eight of fire, wind, and water wont be able to ascend until they are dead. And you wont ascend until he's dead. That just leaves life. Someone else must be in possession of the other life boon."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"We are, and we are not."

"We are all that remains of their will, and their hope."

"They gave their lives so that their children may have a chance to break the cycle of slaughter."

"For the sake of simplicity, you may refer to us by the names we once had. I am Tellus."

"Anima"

"Aether."

"Lumen"

"Nymph"

"Ignis"

"Mors."

"And I am Umbra."

"I know your voices. You're the ones that've been speaking to me. That whispered and compelled me to uplift metahumans and gather the eight." Damien surmised.

"Wait a minute. Why am I here? I didn't come from Legion."

"But you have." Corrected Anima. "When the creature remade you from his biomass, you became spawn of Legion."

"And how would you leave, Fenris? Through the shadows? You'll find that difficult without the presence of them."

"Your metahuman powers have also been nullified here. Any attempts at resistance will be futile."

Fenris looked down and around her. Wherever they were, there was nothing but the white void. They stood on something, but it was unperceivable. She didn't like this. She didn't like this at all.

"An echo of their former selves." Legio said to himself.

"I would request that she would be left out of this....trail but it appears you will not. This subspace is cut off from the rest."

"So this is part of the choice, we have to make, as Alec said. Though I am not as temperamental as Fenris, I do value my freedom greatly. I simply wish to live and explore. To discover. Whatever plans my 'origin' has, I want no part of it." Biomass extended from the back of his legs to form a chair for him to sit on. It was....more difficult for him to do in this plane. Was his origin suppressed in this place? Suppressed but not blocked. So they cannot do that. Interesting.

"Your plans also have no bearing on the undeniable."

"The biomass that comprise your bodies has a will of it's own. It desires to be fed. The more that is desire indulged, the more difficult it is to keep it under control."

"It was never meant to exist in this world.." interjected Damien. It was exactly what he was afraid of.

"Correct. Steps were taken to ensure that the original purpose of the meteors was rendered moot. Yet, through the intervention of man, a way was found to give rise to seed that would become that purpose."

"The day Legion was born was supposed to be the day it also died. The sacrifice of Shane Morris, though noble in thought, was flawed in execution. That flaw resulted in you, Damien. And you, Legio. The refuse of a terrible evil."

"Which in turn gave rise to a third creature. One that is capable of giving rise to another Legion in just a few weeks time."

"Whoa whoa whoa! Hold the ******** up! Are you saying that the stalker that's waiting for my first transformation could just devour everything around it until it becomes another eldritch horror?!" Fenris asked in disbelief.

"Yes. As do the original spawn of Legion should they give into their baser impulses. Say, during a fight with an opponent they underestimated, or after losing most of their form to a necrotizing poison."

"Yet there is still hope for the three of you. The choice of which you spoke, Legio, is available should your responses to the question be satisfactory."

"The question being if you could be free of the biomass, while being given a mortal body and soul in return, what would you be willing to sacrifice?"

Heather inhaled sharply through her nostrils and became entranced at the sight of her awakened girlfriend. She didn't think it was possible, but Liv actually became more beautiful. Without prompt, and entirely from reflex, her wings burst from the slots in she cut into the back of her s**t and became ********, ugh!" she grumbled. She swung her arms backward and forced her wings to fold behind her back.

Deora peaked her head out from under the bed and looked to see what the commotion was. Her eyes landed on Liv, and her face immediately became flushed. "Oh...wow, Liv. You're, like, almost literally glowing."

Once her wings were under control, Heather huffed and straightened her hair. "Um, no. Deora and I only saw one Ancient each. Did that have anything to do with your glow up? So to speak."

"Cutie or not, " Leo replied. "These kids have got to go with whoever adopts them. You promised."

"That's awful, Leo. Of course they're gonna go someday, but Mom was a mom to most if not all of us. That's not something you can just turn off. It's instinct."

Trinity listened to him half expecting him to vent leading to a fight which is normally how things go and both sides say things they regret and there’s no way to mend it. She really hoped for the other scenario where he was willing to accept where things are so they are somehow able to move forward. She breathed easy when it was the latter, him knowing full well it could lead to a fight that neither of them want.

As he looked to the ceiling and slumped his bare shoulders she sat next to him and rubbed his back. She nodded as he brought up working something out then she noticed him tense up then stood up and look at and focused on a direction What?! Wait this is probably like the connection, like what Alec and Kerana have, Heather and Deora. At this rate me and Liv … not looking forward to that… Trinity rubbed her head and listened to Silhouette's message.

"I didn't feel anything but Sil certainly did. It looks like Liv has gotten her boon and that triggered the beginning of the ascension of the eight. Yet it looks like only three of us have ascended just now. Theresa, Liv and Alec." she noticed that she made no mention of death as one of the ones who was missing a part of their boon. "There's more to it and we may need to set a meeting. The others may have more information. But regardless you need to find out what exactly happened to your sister. Get dressed I’ll take you to her.” While he was getting dressed she dropped into her shadow to change her clothes, to her normal uniform, cleaned up enough and while heading back she was texting Gidget what she told Theonis and that they needed a meeting of the eight (and those who need to know) and possibly a group chat to keep a pulse on things with this group.

After Theo got dressed, "Looking dashing as always." she complimented him with a small smile. They went into the shadow realm with Theo directing her. He pointed to her shadow. Instead of coming out of her shadow (which was different than she last sensed it), they emerged from Ako’s shadow who was facing Theresa’s new form. Is this the same girl Theo brought in yesterday, his sister?
