More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Deora blushed and brought a hand up to her forehead when Justine pointed out her impairment. "Ai, sorry, Justine, I keep forgetting that. You don't act like a normal blind person." She said. Her embarrassment quickly faded when Justine mentioned a request. The way she hesitated made Deora really wonder what it was. "Uh, sure. What is it?"

"Well.. Tomorrow will have my sight back... Hopefully. And.. well... I was wondering if you wanted to watch a movie with me or something." She looked towards her with a shy smile of her face. "I mean.. it'll be kind of a big day and.. I'd like to spend it with... with a friend..."

Deora's face went from uneasy confusion to excitement in a heartbeat. "Sure! I'd love to! I haven't been to a theater in ages." While she was excited at the idea of going to a movie, she was just as excited that Justine seemed to really think of her as a friend.

Justine laughed softly as she could hear her heart beat faster. "Actually I haven't either.. And not just because I lost my sight." She sighed softly. "I was a more concerned about my job then anything else..." She frowned somewhat. "Even with my sight back, I doubt I'll re-join the Force. I don't think i have the heart for it anymore...."

The creature curses audibly. It had foreseen this possibility. It is thankful that it had the foresight to sabotage the alert system using it's other body's clearances, but it would have preferred not to deal with Trinity Smith. it couldn't blow it's disguise yet. Not before they had gotten access to the cell.

"Girls, the head of security is hiding in our shadows. Kali, take out the overhead lights! Jezebel, keep working that door!"

Kodak flushes the toilet in the bathroom connected to the security room. He felt sure that Trinity was just overreacting, something that is a necessity in her position. He highly regrets having tried the cafeteria's Tex-Mex surprise from the day before. As soon as he got done going to his mini-fridge for a snack, the bubble guts had hit...hard.

He sits down at the console and notices that a few cameras in a restricted area of the facility have gone offline. Just as he is about to call in an order to have them checked out his room is stormed by the entirety of the security force.

Everyone involved looks around stunned. They had received the black/red alert, and headed for where the designated alert zone was. They were confused that it happened to be the security camera station, but orders were orders. All the saw was Kodak, who in turn puts two and two together.

"God almighty, you guys need to get to the restricted area of the South wing now!"

"We have to accept that as part of what we are Annie. Some meta-human powers are beneficial, and others are destructive. We have several here that are capable of burning down buildings with but a sneeze. It's all a matter of your mindset."

"People like you and me take note of those that we have hurt. Others don't see life as precious. I'm sure there is a reason we were hit with those meteors and given the abilities we have. I can't believe it is just coincidence."

Gidget lets go of Annie and places a hand on a vending machine. A can of Cola tumbles into the slot and Gidget picks it up. She offers it to Annie with a smile.

"Here, this one is on me. Is there a chance Daedalus is after you? Do you need to lay low for a while?"

"Ah, the speech some powers are dangerous and you have to accept that," Annie said forcing a laugh. She added sarcastically, "Don't think I've heard that one before."

Taking a sip of the cola, ignoring her dislike of the taste but enjoying the carbonation, Annie answered Gidget's questions, "I'd be surprised if they weren't looking for me. Especially... especially considering the body count I left."

Annie shivered, changing the subject, "I don't need a place to lay low for a while really, I can make it on my own, but I'd like to stay at Valhalla so I may see Shane regularly, at least for now. I don't want to leave till I get to the bottom of this. And, who knows, maybe Valhalla has a use for me. I hear there's a lot of new meta-humans now, maybe I could help train one to use their powers since I've gained control of mine, now... well mostly, unless I get angry enough. Then... then things like my Daedalus escape happen."

With a flash, Kali crawled along the ceiling taking out the lights with ease. It was second nature to listen to her sister's commands, and even though this wasn't Jezebel commanding her, she knew who was in charge of their mission.

Jezebel's response was another push of her power. Now was the time for speed. She could feel a warm trickle of blood escaped from her nose as she pushed harder. She wasn't about to be caught now. Not when they were so damned close! She'd rather die first.Her eyes narrow slits, she could almost see the pollen her powers produced, thick and heavy in the air.

Her green eyes glowed as she said "Big Mistake!" with the lights out Trinity could see her targets as clear as day. The darkness grabbed the wrists of two of the sisters and Kerana and pulled them together. She thrusts her foot forward at Jezebel, "I said not another step!" she shifted her shadow into a stcky tar like substance. She looks around for "Alec" if he shifted into the black blob he would be hard to find even with the best night vision.


She hears Kerana,"Guys?... I think I hear the alarms outside... Sounds like her backup is near."

She hoped Gidget got her message and wasn't working on something too important to look at it, she would need help especially if the thing managed to release Shane.  

[Nova Blancke]

"Well...turns out someone here wanted to talk to you. That guy you just talked to., Ako. He's getting her as we speak. Think she wanted to talk to you so yeah that's kinda the reason why we are still here I guess." Theonis explained not being able to come up with a decent excuse he went for the truth. Well part of it anyway.  

[Nova Blancke]

"Hiii, Amanda. I'm Liv. Oh those clothes fit you like a glove. Looking good girl." Liv said happily. She wasn't shy on complimenting people. She wasn't shy at about anything.
"Ah yes, I like sunlight. Must be because of my power." Liv demonstrated as she began to shine briefly. Not too bright since she didn't want to blind anyone." Lots of light would be nice" She said as she 'powered down'

"Say..between you and me" The girl leaned of the desk." There any hoties around here?" She said with a girlish giggle.

The creature hadn't taken Trinity's night vision into account. It had thought that the absence of light would nullify any shadows she could use. It's body squirms and twists to cover itself in a black carapace just as the last door falls under the weight of Jezebel's last push. It malfunctions and starts opening and closing at a lethal pace.

The creature takes one second to gaze into the timing necessary and leaps through the door with as little damage possible. The carapace had done it's job for protection, but being that it is only a piece of a whole, the creature suffers a broken right ankle.

Tumbles loudly into the observation room and looks up to the glass. So close, it thinks, It summons up North's power.

Suddenly it loses use of it's vocal chords, "Kerana get back!" It's eyes go wide with shock as it begins to work up flames to engulf the observation room.

Gidget is about to reply when she gets a reminder on her HUD about missed messages. "Oh hold on, it looks like I missed a few calls."

She starts to observe the texts sequentially from the first one missed to the last. If she could lose the color in her face it would be gone. She starts to go into a mental panic, the rush of emotions causing some of her functions to glitch. Her voice changes to sound like her younger self on again and off again, her ears actually begin to produce exhaust, and her eyes dart around in a mad panic.

"Oh God, oh n-n-n-n-n-no, O-oh what did I d-d-d-do?"

Jezebel fell to the floor, her eyes closing as she lost her thought. She turned and looked into the green glowing eyes. 'Big mistake." She muttered back as she locked eyes with a girl. Activated her second power to cause the woman to forget. Her youngest sister's powers still active within her. 'You will forget everything that happened today.' She chanted to herself over and over as she willed harder for the woman to forget.

Trinity heard the voice call out to Kerana, she saw the flame starting to come out. She shoved Jezebel into the elevator along with Kerana and the two sisters and close the elevator door. While doing that her head felt strange, then she lost concentration. She was going to thrust the girls up but didn't get the chance to as the back draft from the fire slammed her face first at the elevator door. The last thing she thought of before she lost conciousness was, How did I get here? Why am I here? What... happened to me? her eyes closed and smoke filled the room. The memories of everything that happened today including all the new people she met, Liv, Orion, Apollo, Deora, and Justine were all gone. She would have no memory of Shane's secret and that be under the impression that he was ill.
