"Oof, don't jinx it. Twins actually run in my mom's side of the family. I'm scared enough at the idea of directly taking care of one little person, let alone two or more."
Gidget raised a brow at Legio and started to ask, "When did you- y'know what, never mind. Stuff happens fast around here. I've got little heiresses, presidential apologies, people becoming demigods, and demigods becoming people. Follow me, I'll take you where you need to go."
Gidget spoke as she led Legio to Records/Documents/Identification, or R.D.I. "I had to set up the identification portion last month when Cassandra and Alexavier decided to stay here. They didn't exist in anything outside of Daedalus' records. With our resources unfrozen, you should have proper identification and documentation in five to seven days. After this you just have to go to personnel and housing to be assigned a room. Shouldn't be hard we've...recently had a lot of vacancies."
Gidget walked him into the office, where there was no one else waiting ahead of him. Behind the desk was a sad looking man who wore the most dour of expressions on his face. "Good timing. Just follow Greg's directions and you'll be all set. And please don't mind him. He has to be as depressing as possible to make sure that no one laughs due to anything he says. Let me know if you need anything else."
Greg turned in his chair and droned, "Hello and good morning. My name is Greg and I'll be assisting you with setting up your digital and paper trail. Speaking of trail, did you know that over 60,000 Native Americans of the Cherokee, Muscogee, Seminole, Chickasaw, and Choctaw nations died during the Trail of Tears between 1830 and 1850? That's a lot of genocide over some gold."
He spun back to his computer screen and began to set up the template. "Since it's just you and me, I can do this for you without having to fill out a paper form. Could you please give me your full name, date of birth, place of birth, and names of your parents. If you don't have any parents, that's okay too. You'll find yourself in good company with the over 14,000 orphaned children of this world, but unlike a good portion of them you'll have a roof over your head and warm food to eat."

Heather wasted absolutely no time and pulled her shirt off over her head. She was not about to risk someone else knocking on the door. She could feel the pent up desire cause her body to quiver. She had been denied something, and the dragon in her was furious. Although confident she could keep it at bay if need be, she knew it was better to satiate it's greed. That time she did not mind, because it's greed was only matched by her lust.
She dove forward and pulled Liv back into a seat position on the bed so that her girlfriend could do the deed of removing everything else she wanted access to. It was Liv's turn to do what she wanted, after all.

Greg asked no questions. He only typed. He'd come to accept the circumstances around him years ago. He swiveled and rolled in his chair to the far side of his desk, bent down, and picked up a device the size of a shoebox. He rolled back and placed it on the countertop in front of Liam. He pressed a button on the back which caused the device to hum. After a few seconds, it unfolded from itself into a collection of both benign and dangerous looking contraptions.
"Please place your hands on the flat surface at the base of the biometrics accumulator. Do not be alarmed as it sinks and shapes around your hands for the purposes of scanning your fingerprints. As that happens, we ask that you look forward as your photo is taken. Once that's done, the accumulator will then switch to blood collection mode. An 18 gauge needle will be inserted into your arm and five vials will be drawn. If your powers include invulnerability, please inform me so the blood draw portion can be skipped. In that event, we ask that you submit a saliva sample for the purpose of blood type confirmation and DNA recording."
"Any questions?"

If the day before had been about tenderness and making love, then that day was about passion and carnal fury. She was still hyped up from their go at DDR, and she had a lot of energy to spare. At one point she lost herself in a moment of ecstasy and let out a plume of fire that set off the sprinkler system. Thankfully, what came from the taps wasn't black and cold. Gidget made it a point to recycle the fire suppression system often, so that things did not smell like rotten pipes for weeks. What fell was warm, pleasant, and only served to heighten the moment.
A panel in the upper back corner of the room opened. An emergency confirmation and surveillance bot craned itself from the wall. It inspected the scene, widened it's lens when it saw the source of the "emergency," craned back as though it had just seen something it wasn't supposed to, and then retracted itself. The water stopped just as Heather fell back into the soaked bed. She huffed, puffed, and pulled the wet hair off her face as she reveled in the afterglow.
She turned her head toward Liv and chuckled guiltily, "I think you'll be rooming with me tonight."

The surface of the device depressed snugly around Liam's hands. The soft glow of a scanner panned over his hands just as one read his eyes. The attached camera flashed, and then the accumulator lifted to release it's subject's hands. It folded back in on itself and hummed. A moment later, a small USB drive ejected itself from a discrete slot on lower side of it. Greg took it, inserted it into his computer's drive and began to type again. It did not take long for him to finish. He returned the device to where he retrieved it and returned with a specimen cup.
"Please deposit as large a saliva sample as you can into the cup."
A printer near him whirred and presented a small bit of paper with some wording and a barcode.
"Here's your temporary ID. Return tomorrow for your official one." he said.

Dawn was surprised to see the message from Trinity in her alerts. The tenuous bit of calm she had managed was replaced with anxiety of a sort she was not used to.
"Hi, er, Hello...Trinity. I got your message." she muttered nervously. She walked in and took a deep breath. She pulled at the bottom hem of her shirt as she spoke.
"I just want to say again how sorry I am for what happened the day before yesterday. Mom told us not to freak out if we saw people we knew because they wouldn't be the same person, but I went ahead and dove at Theonis like a big, dumb, puppy. Right in front of you. Heh, for someone with the name Dawn I sure can be dim. That's what Leo says when I do something stupid, and what I did was stupid. The hurt in your eyes was palpable, and it was my fault. I'm so sorry."

The poor girl mustered all the courage she had to say these words, which made it even worse for Trinity to tell her the truth. A few words repeated in her head Don't be blunt, don't be blunt, don't be blunt. She took a sharp breath.
"I appreciate your courage to come to me to appologize. Which makes what I have to say in return hard to say. Right now, I'm not in a good place to accept your appology right now. If I were to simply accept it now it would be a lie. It's just something I need to work on and will come to you when I'm ready." She considered mentioning that she was already planning to break up with him later that day and her action, more like the discovery that she, the daughter of Liv and Theo, even existed was what drove her to break up with him then and there. Less is more, she doesn't need to know every detail of my life.
"Regardless you, my son, and the others that came from the future are under Valhalla's protection, my protection and I will as long as I breath."

Dawn bit the inside of her bottom lip and lowered her eyes as she heard what she expected to hear from Trinity. The temptation to read Trinity's thoughts was heavy. She could tell Trinity had more to say, but that she held back. "Most likely for my benefit." Dawn thought. Her mother and her Gidget had both told her about how considerate and kind Trinity could be when it came to being honest while sparing feelings. She thought it better to take the non-acceptance at face value and not dig any deeper.
She looked back up when Trinity spoke of wanting to protect the future kids. "Thank you. I really appreciate that. It's been a lot harder to cope and adjust than any of us thought it would. We all thought things would just automatically be better once we made it here. That we'd all run to the surface and just stay in the sun. But none of us can spend any amount of time above without feeling sick with nerves after a few minutes."
"It's like, there's this thing, right here. she said while motioning to the pit of her stomach and moving up to here throat. "Like something wants to come out, but then it gets stuck. It's like being scared, but it's different. We know there're no monsters. I-I felt a little better after doing the yoga with the other ladies, but it's still there. It's worse for Leo. Along with Mom and Ravan, he was out fighting the most. He's trying to let that thing out his own way, but it's-"
There was a heavy thump that could be heard and felt from the room Dawn and Trinity were in. "Goddammit!!! I need another one!"
"I don't think it's good for him." she said sadly.
A gym attendant marched up to Leo and whistled sharply at him. He chastised him with an accent that could only be from one of the boroughs of New York City. "Hey kid, I toldja, tree and yeh done! Dose bags don't grow on trees, and dey ain't cheap! If yeh can't get a grip, den get lost and get help!"
Leo looked down at the three punching bags that he'd broken. The first had a hold punching through both side by a pressure burst. The second was sliced cleanly in half by a shadow blade that intercepted it before it could it him during a momentary loss of balance. The third snapped from the chain after a solid hit. Energy that'd normally be put toward a day of surveillance and survival had become a frustrating build-up of anger. He could still feel it in his shoulder and back. He felt the pressure in his temples. The rhythmic thrum of his pulse. He glared at the attendant and demanded, "No! I'm not done! Just get me something stronger! There has to be something stronger, or maybe someone stronger! I need this."
The attendant sighed and shook his head. "Look kid, I feel for ya, I really do. You an' all de othah futah kids. But 'dis ain't gonna help. Yeh need ta talk to a shrink or somethin'."
"I don't need to talk! I need to break something!" Leo shouted. His shadow began to ripple as his anger built up to a boiling point.
Silhouette stirred within Trinity's shadow. "Trinity, the shadows are restless. I think it's Leo."

Greg took the sample and deposited it's contents onto a tray that slid into another machine. He tapped at the keys a few more times until the machine produced a pair of white card cards with Liam's name, Valhalla's logo, but no other discernable marks. He removed the cards from the machine and handed them to Liam.
"These are your Personalized Entry Cards, or PECs. The PEC is made to give you, and only you, entry to your suite, apartment, dorm, whatever. As long as it's on your person, it'll work. Once you've been to personnel and housing, looking at the logo will display your room number to you. Should you wish to give others entry to your fully furnished cell, hold the PEC in your hand and touch your card to theirs."
"This concludes the RDI portion. Government documents take five to seven business days to process. They will be delivered to your room when they are done. Please proceed two doors down the hall, on your left, to P and H. Have a good day, and hope that you're not in the estimated 22% of cardiac deaths that occur while you're sleeping tonight."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heather beamed and giggled. She'd been booped on the nose. She'd always wanted to be booped. "I really did. Though, in the future, I need to be careful about how I breath. I doubt they'll let me stay here if I keep lighting dorms on fire when I...y'know. Which will be often, because I plan on making the next five months as fulfilling as possible."
She turned on her side to face Liv, put her palm on her girlfriend's cheek, and sighed blissfully. "Being here, with you, is like a dream. Especially since these eyes can see the radiance that hovers around you like butterflies."
Shouting could be heard from personnel and housing office.
"Ma'am, please. Yelling isn't going to fix this."
"You're right. You're gonna fix it!"
"I already explained that you need to go to RDI so that your biometrics can be updated."
"And listen to Doctor Depressio for however long it takes? I'd rather chew my own leg off! This is a housing problem, so fix it!"
Fenris was at P and H's front desk in an attempt to get another PEC card. Freya's spare did not work due to the fact that she no longer matched the DNA on file.
The Clerk, a young man with rock like protrusions at the joints on his lower arms, was doing his best to keep the tall wolf lady calm. He glanced over to the side and saw Liam.
"Just a moment sir. It might be a bit."
"Oh no, you're not blowing me off that easily. I-"
Fenris' nose caught a scent. A familiar one. A very unwelcome one. She turned her head and glared at the source. For a moment. she did not say anything, only looked at him. The clerk could feel the tension rise higher than it was before, and it all came from Fenris.
She looked down at his hands. What she saw in them made her lip twitch.
"Oh Hell to the ******** no. Here?! You want to live here?! Tch, of course you do. It's not like you have anywhere else to go. Ugh, I'm not dealing with this right now."
Fenris stormed past Liam. For a moment she considered shoulder checking him, but then she realized there'd be a good chance of dislocating her shoulder due to his powers. Another thing she did not feel like dealing with.
The clerk shook his head as she left and looked to the new arrival. "Did you need help, sir?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once she actually thought about it, Heather did start to feel goose bumps from their damp conditions. "Oof. It's a good things I'm not cold blooded anymore. I probably would've passed out in your arms."
For a split second, her inner saboteur brought up how she probably would not be in that position if she were more iguana than person. She mentally averted her thoughts from that and focused on the now, not the if.
Heather dried off, got new clothes from the closet, and collected her wet clothes into another towel for transport. She looked to Liv and asked, "I hate to ask, but I don't suppose you could port us to my room? The Valhalla tabloid has been quick to the draw lately, and I'd rather not be the subject of their latest headline. At least, not unless I'm feeling particularly exhibition-y. If we're gonna be on their site, I'd rather we not look like we just left a water park."

Fenris halted the moment she felt something brush the fur on her wrist. Her lip curled, her throat rumbled, and she whipped her head around to look at Liam. She looked down where he held her wrist, and then looked back up to meet his gaze. To her, the look in his eyes said that he was being sincere. However, she was still hot under the collar.
"Let. Go." she growled.
Once her wrist was free, she glanced at the clerk. "Not here." She said as she motioned him into the hallway away from prying eyes.
"I know you didn't mean it, and that's what really pisses me off. As smart as you think you sound, you're a ******** moron. So I can't logically hold you at fault for being stupid. But then, I'm not a creature of logic, am I? I'm still pissed, and I'm still not dealing with this."
She took two steps away when something else he said struck a chord. She turned back and approached him. "What did you mean when you said you needed me to know you were sorry?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A notification popped up on his phone. It didn't have a name, just the image of a mechanical ball that resembled Haro from the Mobile Suit Gundam series. It spoke in a chipper, girly tone.
"Hello Headmaster! It's me, Widget! My creator said that as soon as you had some down time, I should fill you and/or the others in on what you need to know about your new guests. I didn't know when that might be, so I hacked into your schedule and cleared the next two hours for you. Don't worry, it wasn't anything super important. Mostly signing requisition orders and approving requests that can wait until we've had a chance to talk. I've already rolled over to your office, so come on by! It's not like you have anything else to do!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heather stumbled out of Liv's arms. She fanned herself with her hands as steam rose from her collar. "Myes. Thas better."
She plopped down onto the oversized couch that had been specially made for her oversized little brother. She looked over at his favorite spot to sit, all the way by the left arm rest, and sighed. She missed her brother terribly, but she did not want to be brought down when she was so happy. She looked over to Liv and asked, "Is the temp in here okay? It's still set for when I was green."
