As Gidget explained it was more of a legality issue than whether her body could handle those feelings, “Oh.” Well actual age-wise yeah but if the way the public saw us a 16-year-old with someone who looks like they’re in their 20s. There’s already an assumption that Alec was breaking the law. As much as I’d like to make a move on him sooner it may be best for both of us to wait until I ascend. Maybe talk to mom about this…

As Gidget continued she mentioned how ‘old traditions don’t make sense anymore She has a point…. She talked about Theresa. Thought I had it bad about knowing I’ll be skipping a few years. But Theresa… she practically had to skip her whole life for her ascension. She looked down for a moment Why was that a good idea? According to Fenris she was already a threat before all of this.

Then Gidget took her to the window and she saw Alec and his fidgeting. Kerana blushed as pointed out that he gets like this when he talks about her. Not only that she knew it was true because he felt very similar to the way she did at that moment. That moment was shortened when Fenris started to hurl. Uh oh. As the screaming began she covered her ears and hid under the controls and wrapped her tails around her.

Even though she had been watching horror movies with Alec she would still burry her head in her tails, his shoulder or his chest. She was able to face Heather, the dragon because she knew her better and she did not want to give up. Fenris was her teacher and she kept her distance from them by not using their real names most of the time. She started to wonder why she was chosen if she’s not brave enough to face a werewolf.

She heard Alec as he was being thrown back “ALEC!” she looked for him then heard the thud beneath him. She could sense he was okay. She started to feel relief when Gidget sent a texted Trinity.

Within seconds she saw her. She took a moment to look at her pale long hair opponent. It was nothing like she’s seen before. Her strength was leaving dents in the room she was being held in. How is Trinity so brave to swap out and be in the spot with the most danger?

Hearing her scream like that and telling him to kill her....hurt. Somehow. He didn't like it. Not at all. Her scream burst out with power and she covered herself with two aura's. Ones that he had faced before.

The attacks were wild and wide. Nothing he couldn't dodge. Originally he would take the attacks but he did give her Cassandra's true superhuman strength. Combined with Freya's Aura's she would most definitely be able to bypass his defenses. Without those he was just....an empowered human. Weak.

"She was meant...to use this...against Eclipse!" Legio responded between dodging upon hearing Alec.

He lost his footing as something pulled him into the shadows. Using his own power of shadows he resisted but it distracted him long enough to get hit by the Shadow Beast. He was lucky enough that the claws didn't cut him into multiple pieces. But it did knock him away, skittering across the ground before sliding to a halt. Large gash across his chest, blood pouring out.

Pain was...new to him. His body screamed out but his mind was confused at this new sensation. Despite understanding the need for pain it was very distracting.

Trinity wasn’t expecting resistance when she pulled Liam into his shadow. She had forgotten that she first met him he had absorbed her power and could wield it. She didn’t have much time before the dust cleared so she had to quickly get him out of there and quickly get him to Alec and Rydia that he seemed to have slid out. She noticed he was injured in the process. She thought for a moment to send him to Kerana but didn’t when she saw Rydia tending to his wound.

Trinity continued to dodge and pulled out her silver glaive made for the occasion. She hoped while she had the beast’s attention slashing her at none-lethal points. She did not want to kill Fenris and did her best to avoid getting herself killed in the process.
PostPosted: Sun Mar 05, 2023 5:01 pm
Rydia slid to Liam's side and began to mend his wounds with her spirit claws with a motion that looked like sewing. "Sorry, this isn't going to work as quickly as Kerana's, and it'll leave a nasty scar."

Alec cursed beneath his breath. The inclusion of Trinity and Rydia made it harder to use his foresight. He decided to stop looking to the future and focus on the now. It was time to put his training to the test.

With the way the beast was moving, it would be very difficult and dangerous for him to attempt to reap it's soul since he had to hit it's chest area. He decided it would be better to do what he was sure Trinity was attempting, and cripple it.

The deathscythe was unwieldly in it's two handed form. He coated it in the blue flame and pulled it apart. When the flames dissipated he held twin sickles. He could tell where the beast was swinging due to the disruption of the dust. He did a quick estimation in his head and honed in on what he hoped were it's hindquarters. He dashed into the dust and sliced at the creatures ankles.

The automated defenses locked onto the largest heat signature and began to fire taser bolts.

Between the silver, the electricity, and the cuts to it's legs the beast's rage and hatred only grew. It was in pain, and it wanted out. It drew in it's limbs and whined horribly. Then the orange aura began to withdraw into her. Small, glowing cracks began to form on her body as it took a deep, rasping breath.

Alec called out, "Back up! She's gonna blow again!"

He jumped back and drew his cloak up.

Rydia twisted her hips and put up a large spirit hand to guard her and Liam.

"Trinity! Shield!" Sill commanded.

As Alec had predicted, the beast detonated it's aura again. That time, though, it was twice as strong and knocked out the automated defenses and shorted out some of the rotating lights.

It screamed and rushed to where the door had closed. It began hammering, punching, and clawing at the reinforced door like a terrified animal trying to get free while shrieking and crying. The orange aura enhanced it's strikes, and started to peel away at the layers of the door. Cracks and snaps could be heard as it broke it's own bones trying to escape. All the while, the cracks in it's body started to get larger.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

"Crap. Crap! CRAP!" Gidget exclaimed. "Nothing's working! The more she's attacked the angrier she gets, and then she feeds on that rage and gets stronger! It's like trying to tire out the Hulk! Plus she's hurting herself."

Gidget looked up at one of the monitors that had a med-scanner tuned onto Fenris. Fractures, lacerations. high pulse, high blood pressure, and a steadily growing energy that was tearing Fenris apart from the inside as it grew.

Ako put a firm hand on Gidget's shoulder and suggested, "What if we're going at it the wrong way? Maybe fighting her isn't how we save her."

Gidget chewed on her right thumbnail and huffed, "Agh. I should've brought Liv. She could've...wait a minute."

Gidget took Kerana's shoulders upper arms and turned her so they were face to face. Gidget then plead, "Kerana, this might be your time to shine. I think you're the only one of us that can calm the wolf down."

cat_eek “w-WHAT?! Me!? How? I don’t know her as well as as I knew Heather. Look at her she’s a pile of rage right now. I thought they would be able to try the plan again when her attention was on Trin and…and…” she fidgeted.

"Kerana, violence isn't going to work. She attacked the moment she sensed danger. Now she's angry, hurt, and scared. Look at her. She's tearing herself apart trying to escape. If this keeps up, she'll die before Alec has a chance to remove the curse."

"They can't do it. She knows Alec, Trinity, Rydia, and Liam are a threat. She can sense that. But you, you're no threat. You're life. If I understood Alec's briefing, that poor soul probably hasn't known peace for tens of thousands of years. Show her the kindness she's forgotten. Be that light at the end of the tunnel. It's like you say, 'the smallest act of kindness...'"

When Kerana finished the quote, Gidget nodded and pressed a button on the main console to unlock the lift that connects the observation deck to the cell.
"Just remember that what's in there isn't Fenris. That's the soul of a scared, angry, wild animal. Don't just walk up to her and touch her. That'll startle her, and she'll lash out. Get her attention, show her you don't want to hurt her, and then do your thing. Be careful. We believe in you."

Legio pushed himself up a bit as Rydia began to mend his wound. He could most likely do it himself but he wasn't too sure how to. Alec and Trinity seemed to hold their own but he knew that one hit would be enough to take them out. When the beast roared again he threw up a telekinetic wall on front of them.

It hasn't used the white aura yet. Why? It was in pain.Could it not protect itself? Observing how it tried to escape to the point of breaking its own bones, it was....tearing further? He didn't like it. Enough. This wasn't her. He would be disrespecting her by holding back.

Legio got up, kicked off from where he was towards her. His own landing cracked the floor and kicked up dust. Grabbing a hold of her tail, he dug his feet into the ground. Sending bolts of lighting through the beast, he used that moment to throw her back to the other side. Away from the door.

The beast shrieked and writhed from the electrocution. When it went airborn, it righted itself and landed on it's hind legs. It bent itself forward on inpact and came to a screeching halt as it's front and back claws tore at the ground and left large metallic shavings in it's wake. It hunched down and readied itself for what the awful little things would do next. It's body trembled with anticipation as saliva and blood dripped from it's quivering maw.

Trinity used her shadow as a dome like shield at the same time Sill commanded her to. After the explosion she withdrew her shield.

Kerana listened to Gidget. She finished the phrase, “… can make a big difference.” Her view of the creature shifted from that of a rage monster, to one that is crying in pain. She took a deep breath “Hate to say it but you’re right.” She swallowed hard and looked to the beast. “Here goes nothing…” cat_sweatdrop

The lift lowered she saw the beast getting shocked.
“STOP!!!”
She steps off the lift.”Hurting it is not helping look at it. I saw the vitals it’s not looking good. At this rate we won’t be able to save Fenris if the beast gets more angry.”

Trinity asked, “What do you have in mind?”

“A small act of kindness can make a big difference.” That phrase kept repeating itself over and over in her head.

Trinity had learned not to rule her out entirely. Especially after hearing how she was able to help Heather in her dragon form. She nodded, “Alright. Let us know how we can help.”

She looked to the beast, and started toward the creature, “Rydia, cover me. I need to get close!”

Her voice was that of sympathy for the creature to get its attention, “Poor creature.” She started to approach with her hands in the air.

Alec heard an all too familiar voice. "Kerana?! What are you-?!

Rydia shushed him harshly and hiss, "I think I know what she's planning. Stay back, have faith in her."

The beast heard the small voice and pivoted toward Kerana and Rydia. It screamed and brought it's balled up, broken hands down on them like hammers. Rydia brought up both of her spirit hands to stop them. Though theybwere successfull in nulifying some of the beast's power, she still absorbed the impact of a twenty foot tall monster. She faltered and cried out, "I could use some help here!"

Alec nodded and wrapped his hands in the blue flames. With a flourish, a blue ring appeard at his feet and spat out thousands of bones. They flew and reinforced Rydia's spirit hands with bone armor.

The beast became frustrated and kept hammering at the barrier between it and the small thing that was talking to it.

Kerana reacted holding her hand up to the attack. She cleared her throat, “You wake up tonight and throughout thousands of years you only find yourself having to fight for life. Now you’re hurting on the inside, outside, and you want it to stop. What if it doesn’t have to be that way.” She drew closer reaching out for its foot readying her healing power wondering if the creature would allow her to get close enough to touch.

The beast scurried away from Kerana, hunched over, put it's head down to her level, and roared directly in her face. The air released from the shout was strong enough to make Rydia open her stance to keep from falling. From further back, Alec yelled, "You've got this, Kay!

The beast snapped it's enormous maw down and bared it teeth at Kerana with trembling lips. It's body and hands also shook from a combination of anger, pain, and anxiety.

Kerana felt more confident as she heard Alec rooting for her. “Let me try to take that pain away please, let me grant a moment of peace.” When the maw came close to her it could get a very faded sense of what she was offering.

The beast continued to growl as Karana came closer. Though it could sense the little thing's intentions, it did not trust her. Not at first. It kept it's eyes locked onto Kerana and winced away a few times to keep from being touched. It cracked open it's mouth and threated to snap at her, but the little thing did not run or attempt to harm it. That was when it remained still, but kept growling with it's teeth bared as a warning not to try anything.

Kerana looked into its eyes “I know it may be hard but you can trust me.” She touched its snout their eyes went white veins of the creature could be seen glowing. The orange cracks started to seal. Covering her was a ghostly version of her 20-year-old self with nine tails. This took a lot of power in mending the beast as well as the cracks. Fenris? Can you hear me? Work with us. Let us help you. It was a long shot but she hoped her message would get through to her.

The beast's growling steadily became less viscious, but still present. It felt its bones mend, its lacerations close, and the electric burns heal. It watched Kerana with intense curiousity. When it was done, its eyes softened only slightly as its trembling lessened. Its breathing was still labored and raspy from the stress of its size, but it wasn't as rapid as it had been.

When Kerana reached out, its maddened, giant eyes eyes began to glisten with a layer of tears. It replied with the same strange mental voice that did not belong to Fenris. "Kill me."

As you wish saddened by the beast’s response, but understood. She continued the connection then reached out to Alec Alec, I need your help. I think it’s safe to do your part of the plan.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 07, 2023 7:09 am
Alec was amazed at how easy it was for Kerana to gain the beast's momentary trust. His heart swelled with another layer of respect and adoration for her. Alec slowly approached the beast. He paused for a moment when he saw it's eyes shift toward him.

The beast looked from Alec to Kerana. Then back. Even it's tormented mind understood their connection. Life and death. They were granting it's wish. It could feel something tear at it's mind. It knew it would not be long until the anger, the pain returned. It looked to Kerana with stressed gratitude and closed it's eyes.

Alec knew the window would not last for long. He reshaped the sickles into the single scythe, set it ablaze with the spectral flame, brought it to bare, and ran toward the beast's torso. With one overhead running, overhead swing, the scythe passed through the beast's chest like the hand of a ghost. the slice left no wound, but it did pull out a fog like substance from within the beast. Alec kept him momentum going long enough to keep from being crushed by what he knew would come next.

The beast let out one last breath. In that moment it knew peace. Now lifeless, it's body went limp and collapsed.

Alec dismissed the blade and shaped the fog into something tangible. There were two dim orbs in his hands that were connected like two drops of water that had come into contact with each other. One was darker and quivered in his hands. The other was a bit brighter that had a strange marking at the center of a swirl.

"Kay, could you hold these for a just moment?" he asked politely. He gently handed them to Kerana

With a flick of his wrist, he produced a set of glowing pruning shears in his left hand. He heard a chuckle from Rydia and blushed. "I know, but it's the best way I can do this. The deathscythe can technically become any sharp gardening or farm tool. Oddly enough, people are less terrified by the scythe than anything else."

He carefully clipped the point where the two souls met and separated them. He took the dark one in his hand and pet it like a small animal. It's quivering ceased and he said, "May you find your peace on this final journey." The dark orb turned back into fog and faded away.

He changed the shears into snips and got to removing the mark from the remaining soul. There were a few moments where he reeled back as though he'd been shocked, but he persevered. It took almost five minutes, but he managed to removed the mark from the soul and incinerated it with his flames.

"Okay, that should do it. Now we just...wait. Don't move."

Alec leaned in close and watched as the swirling soul began to become less so. It was still amorphous, but he could see what bonded it together. "Oh my god. I think...I think that maybe."

Gidget and Ako joined the group in the cell and watched Alec examine the soul in Kerana's hand. "What's wrong? Is it okay?"

Alec looked to the others and swallowed. "With the curse gone, the soul fusion that made Fenris is weakened. It's actually possible for me to change it back into two souls. Freya and Okami. Not only that, but I can separate them completely so that they don't have to inhabit the same body anymore. They'd be their own persons. But, they'd be returned to how they were before the fusion. Any memories from the last three weeks would be gone, and Fenris would cease to be."

"I could also solidify the fusion and make it permanent. Fenris wouldn't suffer from anymore identity based anxiety attacks, and she'd keep all the enhancements she has, like the super strength."

Alec looked at the adults in the room. Trinity, Rydia, Liam, Gidget, and Ako. He then looked to Kerana, who'd also bonded with Fenris as the other trainees had.

"I...I don't know what to do."

Legio approached the beast once more before the Ascended of Life shouted at him to stop. Why? It needed to be incapacitated for this to work. It doesn't listen to reason. He observed what was happening. Being shielded from it's attacks she continued to move forwards. Why?

Was it....scared? Legio cocked his head a bit and observed it's movements. It truly seemed to be scared. Something happened that he did not anticipate. It stopped attacking and...let her touch it?

Then with one fell swoop Alec ended it's life. Was it even needed for Legio to be here? They seemed to have gotten things under control by themselves. Alec worked on the soul. Then Alec said something that didn't occur to him before. He believed that she would revert back to Freya with all memories intact. That ....did not seem to be the case. He made a promise but...to who? To Freya or Fenris? He vowed to help her get rid of the curse and through others he has. But.....would he want her to forget the last three weeks? The time they spent together? His chest felt....oddly tight.

PostPosted: Thu Mar 09, 2023 7:26 pm
Kerana lowered her eyes, as she looked at the spirits she held. It kept merging and un merging. “I don’t know her too well. We never got close and she never called me by my name. Not to sound insensitive, but I don’t have an opinion one way or the other.”

Legio stepped forward. "Is it truly impossible for her to retain her memories as Freya? They are her memories. Even if she herself is more than two merged. They are hers."

Alec shook his head. "They are their memories. You split them up, then the memories are just puzzles with half the pieces missing. At most, the memories would feel hazy, like a dream you can just recall but not really remember."

"I see" Legio responded. So the memories would not be truly lost but divided amongst Freya and Ookami. "I believe I might be able to reconstruct those memories if both Freya and Ookami would allow me. After all...if both hold half of the puzzle, all that is required is to bring that puzzle together." He responded.

Gidget put her hands up and asked, "But then what's to say they wont end up with the same disassociative panic attacks that Fenris went through. They'd have shared emotional experiences that didn't happen to them. The person that we normally have to fix that is still in a coma after fixing Ravan."

“Silhouette and I visited Fenris’ mindscape to address this matter. She was on the right track to creating her own identity. It may have resolved those panic attacks, or reduce it to fewer instances, at least.”

Rydia interjected, "How is this an argument?! We have a chance to bring my real aunts back to life.

Ako replied, "But it's at the expense of another life. She might not really be your aunt, but she's a real person"

"But it CAN be done? It would require work and I would....as they say...give it my all to fix and adjust their minds. Fenris had memories of two. With the right approach then neither of them would have each others memories and...." Legio stopped. Why was he so intend on finding a third option? He was silent before starting again.

"I made a promise. But I realize that I do not wish for her to lose these three weeks of memories."

Trinity's phone buzzed . The number belonged to Lokelonni.

Trinity was deep in thought on the matter when her phone pulled her out of it. She looked to her phone she muttered to herself as she recognized the number, “What?”

She turned away and answered the phone. “Hello?”

"Trinity, it's Lokelonni. If I suspect correctly, you and Rydia disregarded Fenris' request and went to others. I was hoping for an update."

Alec looked to Liam and sincerely asked, "You really care about her, don't you?"

“Yeah, things got complicated and so Gidget made the call. We saw the beast Fenris did not want us to see. We were there to help but turns out it wasn’t the help that was needed.”

She proceeded to fill Lokelonni in on the situation, ”… and so here we are… Do we bring back Fenris or Freya and Okami?”

Legio was silent. His mind was going a hundred miles a second. "I do....it won't be her if they seperate but...I did this to her." Legio took a deep breath to try and calm himself. "Seperate her."

After a moments pause Lokelonni tearfully replied, "...I want to see my youngest daughters before I die. Both of them."

“As you wish.”

She turned to the others, “That was her mother. She and I also want the same thing, to bring back Freya and Okami.”

"So it's settled then? I separate them and Kerana returns the two souls to the body behind us to make theirs?"

Legio nodded.

The votes were cast. Alec made a careful incsion and unwrapped the swirl. They seperated into souls that were black and white.

"Wait." Alec blurted out. He took a small piece from each soul and swapped them. The soul then look more akin to a separated yin yang.

Alec looked to Trinity with a proud smile and said, "They were together their whole lives, right? This way they wont feel like something, or someone, is missing"

He sent away the snips, looked to Kerana, and put his hands under hers. "Are you ready, Kay?"

Kerana nodded, “Yes” she took the souls and placed them into the body of the beast the beast started to glow half a midnight blue with a pale dot, the other half was pale with a midnight blue dot. The beast shifted back to Fenris. Fenris started to be be pulled apart starting at the head was a woman’s head with wolf ears the other was a wolf she separated the bodies down the middle pulling apart whatever membrane that was holding them together. The glow faded and there they were Freya and Okami side by side in an embryonic pose facing away from one another.

“There, I think I -“ Kerana fell she used so much of her power today. Her hair floated down and her ghostly visage faded away. Silently she wondered if she had the other half of her boon if she would be able to handle things better.

Alec did not hesitate to catch Kerana as she fell and went down with her. He could plainly see the exhaustion on her face. He held her close, kissed her forehead, and rested his head on hers. "You did it, Kerana. You can rest now."

Rydia looked to Trinity and said, "I'll check on Okami. You've got Aunt Freya, right?"

She had often wondered what Okami might look like if she were her own person and not confined to only coming out a few days a month. She had not expected the wolf to be large enough to be the size of a small horse.

"No thumbs. Quadrupedal. Large. I think she's a dire wolf! They're supposed to be extinct." Rydia commented.

Freya no longer had her tail. The only visible part of her curse was the ears. Which twitched as they picked up sound.

Gidget ran up to them and scanned their vitals. Perfectly fine. Brain waves dispalyed that they were in a light sleep, able to be roused.

"They're okay! That was-"

She turned to the men, then to Freya (who was nude) and then back to the men. "Ahem! Cover those eyes boys."

Ako hadn't quite caught up with the situation yet. He was still reeling from the whole experience of watching little Kerana shape two hole people. Well, one person and a wolf. He was snapped out of it by his fiance's command and turned around. He motioned for Liam to do the same. "I know you think it's silly, but it's considered rude."

Freya stirred and blinked. Her eyes were no longer gold; they had become their natural, and never before seen, color. They were the same as her mother's.

"Whozzat? Whas goin' on? Trinty, izzat you?" she slurred, her eyes as yet unable to focus on a single thing.

Trinity couldn’t believe her eyes as it happened. Though she would admit she did feel guilty about Fenris and didn’t get the chance to be her own person. Fenris kept reminding her of Freya in all of her mannerisms and every time she reminded her of Freya she only missed her even more. That guilt went away when she saw the glowing silhouette of her sensei, Freya. A tear crawled down her cheek.

She nodded to Rydia and headed to Freya’s side. Gidget made a comment about her vitals being good, she felt relieved. She placed her coat onto Freya as she woke up, “Yes, it's me, Freya, it’s Trinity.” she hugged her, “I thought I’d never see you again.”
