More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Legio witness the rebirth, It was quite interesting to witness. He found himself not being able to fully focus on it. Things have not gone according to how he thought they would. Now Freya and Ookami were separated again. Remembering Fenris's reaction to being naked he had already closed his eyes. Sure he had seen both the wolf and her when they reformed but now he was keeping his eyes closed as he was told.

Legio sat down, Seiza position. Hands on his lap, focusing on his breathing. He wanted to talk to her. But this was not the time.

Freya squinted at Trinity asked asked, "Whazzat mean? You talkin' like I died."

A realization struck her. "Wait a minute. I did die, right? Kinda? Ami and me...Ami? Okami? Why ain't she whisperin' in mah head?"

Rydia replied, "She's here, Aunt Freya. You're no longer cursed, and she's her own wolf now."

Okami's hind paws kicked and she mumbled, "Somma that jerky, please."

Freya looked terribly confused as she looked around at everyone and everything. Her senses began to focus again. "Wait, but...huh? How? Where the Hell are we? Who're those kids? Who's that...wait one god damn minute. I know that stupid head!"

With a grunt and some wobbling, Freya stood up while she kept Trinity's coat closed over her shoulders. She strode up to Legio and demanded, "Hey, a*****e! What's going on?! What happened after we went all Tenchu on yooOOUUU! OOF!!!"

Freya had tried to kick Legio in the back of the head, but she'd forgotten that he isn't so easily moved and ended up pushing herself backward and on her rear.

Ako looked in Legio's direction and shook his head discretely. He sent a thought out loud and clear. "I don't think you should tell her what happened. At least not yet. From what Gidget told me, Fenris' temper was actually an improvement over Freya's."

"Trinity! Gidget! I've fallen and hurt my a**! Wait...where's my tail?! I don't have a tail?! I don't have a tail!!!"

She wiggle her ears, licked her teeth, and sniffed the air. Ears were still there, no more little fangs, and her senses weren't wolf sharp anymore. But she had a normal pelvis and that made her smile. She looked to the stirring Okami and beamed.

"Holy s**t! We're really free! But how, who?!"

Gidget grinned and motion to Kerana and Alec. "They did. He unmarked your soul, and she gave you separate bodies."

Freya could not believe her eyes and ears. They were just kids. Yet they had succeeded where so many others tried and failed. "I have a feeling the rest of you are selling yourselves short, but I really want to thank those kids properly. Trinity, come help me up. Did you change your hair?"

Alec nudged Kerana gently and whispered, "Kay, I think she wants to thank us."

Freya's eyes went large as she watched a sleepy Kerana be sleepy. In her mind, she saw Kerana as an animé version of herself, cuddled in a blanket, smiling and then saying, "O nēchan." in a cute voice.

She shook her head to get back to reality and asked, "What're your names.?"

Alec cleared his throat and replied, "I'm Alec, and she's Kerana."

Freya nodded and sincerely said, "I don't know what you had to do, but I can tell it wasn't easy. I, no, we can't begin to repay what you've done for us. Just know that you two are my kids now. I don't mean that in a posessive way, just know you're in the same category as Trinity in my book."

There was a loud gasp as Okami realised that she had her own body. She spun around and did tippy-taps. Then she spotted Freya and Trinity. With an enthusiastic "HEY!" she lept at the two of then and pounced. She immediately attacked them with a flurry of licks as her wagging tail created a small breeze.

"We didn't die! We get to see everybody, and I'm huge!"

Freya spat, batted, and shouted at what was her other half, "You're crushing us! Get off you furry moron!"

Okami complied and backed up, only to spot Kerana and Alec. She gasped and bounded up to them. She excitedly rambled"Hi, I'm Okami! Oh wow, are you a kitsune?! I love all kinds of foxes. Red, marble, fennec, snow, but you're the most specialist of all! Is that your boyfriend?! Hi boyfriend, I'm Okami! You look pale. Are you feeling okay? You should go outside more. Oh! I can go out in the sun now! This is amazing! Do you guys wanna be friends?!"

At least that was something familiar. Same temper. He opened his eyes as she approached and looked her over. What was visible anyway. It was....good? To see her again. Strange.

"I will tell you later."

He felt...strange when she was praising and thanking Alec and Kerana. He took a deep breath, touching the scar on his chest. It still hurt. He didn't like pain. Such a bad design.

"I don't believe I am needed here anymore. I will take my leave."

Meanwhile Theo and Leo were in the auditorium. Since his mom has been back here she had been pushing him to continue. His ability to learn as fast as he could had really been helpful with his singing and guitar skills. Clean vocals and screams were pretty crisp these days. For Leo he got dragged into by his newly found grandmother who still thought the whole ordeal to be strange. But he took to drumming well. Theo was glad it was an outlet for his energy. He met a few others that were already playing instruments. Finding out the Head of Valhalla's mother was a manager of a few other bands already seemed to have gotten a few idea's.

They were currently in the middle of doing a cover of Binary Pulse by Time, The Valuator.

Theo liked the song a lot.

"I crave for just a little more to not obliviate,
I was made to feel initially.
Now I cannot feel myself
Cause my begotten soul needs healing"

Trinity smiled and wiped the tears of joy from her eyes. Then let Freya take it all in. She had asked about her hair. “Yeah, I’m growing bit out for a bit.” She helped Freya up and she thanked the two. We’ll Kerana is being extra adorable part of her wanted to pinch her cheeks. She noticed Liam walking away thought the next step was to restore Fenris’ memories to Freya but guess not yet. Ooh boy, when she finds out that he’s her neighbor if Fenris didn’t shut up about it I’m pretty sure Freya would do worse.

Freya nodded and sincerely said, "I don't know what you had to do, but I can tell it wasn't easy. I, no, we can't begin to repay what you've done for us. Just know that you two are my kids now. I don't mean that in a possessive way, just know you're in the same category as Trinity in my book."

Trinity smirked at her comment and said “Good, you’re going to be spending a lot of time training them for the upcoming battle. We’ll explain more later. It’s about 5 months away so, there’s time to get adjusted to things as they are.”

Then they were pounced and slobbered on by Okami. She was happy to see her too but Freya made her point.

Freya craned her neck and called out to Legio, "Hey, where do you think you're going?! You owe me a ham, mother ******** looked very confused by what she'd said. She wasn't sure why, but she had some vague memory of being owed a spiral cut ham. Like a dream mixed with deja vu.

"Hey, wait. I need to talk to him. Help me up...again."

Leo had been keeping up with Theos vocals until an idea struck him. He slowed down the tempo until he stopped.

"Hey, Theonis. I know I blew out my throat last week, but could I try that screaming thing again? I think I'm ready now."

"s**t man, go ahead. Lemme hear it." He said and let Leo lead this time with the screams. He personally loved some good screaming.

Legio stopped in his tracks. The comment was not one he expected. She remembered? Turning around he helped her up with his telekinesis.

Freya flapped her arms slightly at the sensation of being picked up by nothing. She looked to Trinity and said, "I hate to do this to you, Trin. Especially after what you've probably been through since I was gone, but I have questions for this p***k, and I don't think I'll be able to sleep right until he answers them. Y'know? So if it's alright, I'm gonna hang onto your coat for a bit longer."

Okami did more tippy taps at the idea of having new friends. "New friends! New friends! New friends! New friends!"

Rydia clamped her hands around Okami's snout and grumbled, "I'm glad you're happy to make new friends, but it's late and we're all very tired. Could you please tone it down?"

The wolf lowered her ears and mumbled, "Sowwy."

Gidget put her hands together and huffed, "Well, I think that's enough excitement for one night. What say we head home? Anybody prone to vomiting can come with me on the transport. I'm also sure Trinity and Alec would be more than happy to provide instant temporal travel."

"Oh! Yeah, of course. Kerana, would you like to go back to your dorm?"

Leo approached the mic and took it into his left hand. He remembered the tips he'd been given: wide stance, shape your empty had like it's clasping something, back straight, deep breath, and...

"RREEEEEYAAAAAAHH!!!"

Leo's shadow burst from beneath him and whipped about like tentacles from Hell. He held the scream for a little over ten seconds before he ran out of breath and petered out. The shadows also calmed down.

He panted and look to Theonis with a grin, "Pretty metal, huh? The shadows I mean, but I still can't get the breathing right."

Theo took a step back and let Leo scream it out. Sounded great but the visuals were even better.

"Haha! Hell yeah!" He said and clapped."Dude that was ******** awesome."

"It's all about the diaphragm. But 10 seconds is already quite long man."

"But eh...feels pretty good to get it out of your system like this huh?"

Legio waited patiently for Freya

Freya flapped her arms slightly at the sensation of being picked up by nothing. She looked to Trinity and said, "I hate to do this to you, Trin. Especially after what you've probably been through since I was gone, but I have questions for this p***k, and I don't think I'll be able to sleep right until he answers them. Y'know? So if it's alright, I'm gonna hang onto your coat for a bit longer."

“Of course, take as long as you need.” She turned Rydia, “I guess we can go back to training, right?”

Rydia agreed then eyes Okami then suggested that they should take Okami and Carak to the woods. Trinity nodded and with Rydia and Okami shadow traveled to where Carak was. They dropped off the canines off in the nearby woods. Then returned to the training room they were in before the werebeast needed to be addressed.

“If I remember correctly you went over the basics and I was pointing out that Sil may have a less risky way to do the attack. Sil if you could?”

Leo toyed with the microphone a bit as he thought about Theonis' question. After a moment's contemplation he smiled and nodded. "It does. I think I like screaming more than drumming, though. It feels more...visceral? Like, when I drum I could just hit them as hard as I can as fast as I want, but that destroys any sense of rhythm. I have to think too much to keep time. But screaming, I just let it out. Heh. I just have to keep this a secret from Clara. She's been on me about, 'What I inherited.' But I never heard Dad sing, or play guitar, or anything else really."

Freya smiled as Trinity left. She looked to Gidget and Ako. "Gidge, other guy."

"I'm Ako. Her fiancé." said the other guy.

"Oh! I really did miss a lot. Thanks for for whatever it was you did. I'll catch up with you later, Gidge."

She walked up to Legio and huffed, "Alright, ********. You know them so I guess you have a room at Valhalla. If so then you probably know where my suite is. Take us there."

Once they'd arrived, Freya immediately walked toward the closet. "Keep your eyes off. We can talk while I get dressed."

She opened the door and said, "Freya's s**t." The closet's mechanisms spun and brought a programmed set of clothes that could be called kunoichi casual. She spoke as she started with the underwear.

"How long has it been since we fought? I...she obviously lost the fight since you're still alive. What happened with Eclipse? What has she been doing since Okami and I merged? What was she to you that you've been looking at me like that??"

Silhouette took temporary control of Trinity's shadow to give herself a for they could see. Though she was nothing more than her namesake, her silver eyes were clear as day.

"While what I am about to show you is less risky, it's not without it's own risks."

"The first thing you need to realize is that we all wear masks. They are unseen, but they act as a way for us to limit what we show others. Of course I speak of metaphorical masks, but for those who are Primantigua it is more than a metaphor. Thus, those who have inherited our boons are also in possession of unseen masks."

Silhouette turned to Trinity and waved her hand just in front of her face. A dark vapor appeared in front of Trinity's, but without occluding her vision.

"At this moment, it's as nebulous a shape as it is a concept. It's intangible. You can't remove your limits, break the terminus, without first understanding what it is you are trying to hide from everyone. You may say you don't, but there's a part of us that we hide from everyone, maybe even ourselves. Alec was close to removing his mask during our fight with Crosis, but he still hasn't faced his deepest secret in order to give his mask form."

She waved her hand once more and dismissed the vapor.

"To become terminal, means to embrace the darkest parts of yourself. Because when you become terminal, that is what will be at the forefront. When you break one limit, you break all limits. Your inhibitions will be gone, and your power will flow outward like a damn that has been broken."

"So, in place of risking your live for power...you become temporarily insane?" asked Rydia.

Sil turned to face Rydia, pondered, and then replied, "Insanity, I feel, is too harsh a word for what is experienced. It is more like a sense of absolute freedom, where one becomes their truest self. Be it good, or bad."

Rydia asked with a hint of sarcasm, "Oh, is that all?"

"Actually, no. You know the sensation you have after an especially long workout where you didn't realize how tired and sore you were until you stopped? When your power is spent, it will feel exponentially worse. While you'll still have your powers, it'll feel like Hell for the next few hours."

"I thought you said it'd be less risky!"

"It is. You wont have two feet in the grave after you've become terminal. It'll hurt, but you'll live. Your technique is, as you so thoughtfully put it, is a glass cannon. Once it's been fired, it's absolutely useless, and it's a 50/50 chance of killing the person who fired it. But why are you being so haughty? It's not like you have a boon to do this with."

Rydia's dark cheeks became flush with anger. "Well! Excuse me for being concerned with everyone's safety!"

"I can imagine it being a bit hard to do where you're from.I think....and it's just me but I think that I...well....HE would find a secluded place to play guitar where it wouldn't be a risk for anyone" He commented.

"Feel free to tell her though."

Legio nodded and took both of them to her room through shadow travel. Putting his arms behind him he closed his eyes as she said.

Retelling the events that had let up to now he informed her. About Valhalla's assault on Daedelus, the Assault ON Valhalla, creating Fenris, everything.

Legio did not answer her last question."It would be best if you could remember it yourself. Memories have been split between you and Ookami. With your permission I would like to combine them and return them to you. These stories will only be stories with a vague sense of deja vu to you otherwise."

Alec placed Kerana down for a moment so he could summon his scythe. He slashed a hole to her suite, dismissed the scythe, and picked her up in a bridal carry. He took one last look at Gidget and Ako. "See you guys there."

He cross over and walked to her bed (which was still divided down the middle by a wall of pillows). The tear closed behind them as he placed her down. He wasn't surprised to see that she was out again. He sighed, smiled, and thought about how he would like to kiss her like a fairy tale prince would. That thought made him blush, and he remembered how creepy the concept was in a modern setting. He settled for moved some hair off of her face.

His suite had been ready for weeks, and he'd gone back to it a few times. Yet, he often found himself spending time in Kerana's room, and occasionally sleeping over. It was so much easier for him to fall asleep when he could hear her tiny snore next to him. He did not feel like spending the night without her. Not after what they had been through that day.

Then he caught a whiff of himself. Well, not so much himself as the dust, sweat, fur, and such that had settled on his clothes. Even his cloak smelled heinous. He thought for a moment, and decided that a quick shower could not hurt. He would just be very stealthy.

He went to the bathroom and dismissed his cloak. He took off the rest of his clothes and deposited them in the hamper that would take his attire to the laundry area. He turned on the shower and realized that he did not have his own toiletries. He looked down and saw that Kerana had put out a set for him after the last time he took a quick shower in her suite. He smiled at how thoughtful she was.

Once he was done, he toweled off and went to reach for his...clothes. s**t. He had forgotten to grab a change of clothes before he got in the shower. Okay, time to be stealthy again. He wrapped the towel around his waist and creeped out toward the closet. He hoped the motors would not be enough to wake her. He typed in his requests (for people who were mute or otherwise unable to speak).

As the clothes spun he stood with his arms crossed, and his bare back was turned to Kerana. He bare, terribly scared back. Scars that looked about the size of a belt. It had been the first time he had done so. As long as they had been together, he had been very careful about making she she see his back. He did not want her to fret over what had happened to him before he came to Valhalla. He wanted to talk to her about it, and he would...soon. It was difficult for him to drudge up a past he had tried so hard to bury.

The whirring stopped, and he started with the boxers. He kept his towel on as he out them on, and only dropped them after he'd put on a pair of flannel shorts. He was about to put a long sleeved night shirt on when he thought he heard Kerana stir behind him. He quickly pulled the shirt down and turned his head to see if he had woken her up.

Leo smiled sadly. "He did use to tell us a lot of stories. When Dawn and I were little, he'd talk about what civilization was like, and how metal was a subversion of what was expected from polite society. I never really understood what he meant until you showed me. A wild message from the past, I guess. Thanks."

"Though I'm not sure how much of this I'll tell your mom. She can be kind of intense. Which is weird, because Ravan is always intense, but Clara is a different sort of intense. Is it just me?"

Freya listened silently. When he got to the bit about being Fenris being eaten, and her people being shot down over a beach, she went to her stash of sake. By the time he was done, she was drunk.

She stood up, walked up to him and prodded him in the chest with the same hand that held the bottle. "Y'know what? No. That ain't gonna happen. Y'know why? Because those ain't my memories, or Okami's. They wouldn't be my feelings or experiences, they'd be hers. And y'know something? You didn't answer my last question."

She staggered backwards and laughed, "Imma say it 'cuz you wont. You didn't want her to go. You liked her. Hell, you probably more than liked her. and you're avoiding it, because you're a ******** furry. You wanted to plug her wolf p***y, didn't ya you rat ********! I can't believe you! Well, y'know *hic* y'know what else?"

Her wobbling eyes settled on his chest. She saw the nasty scar that he'd gotten from earlier that night. She approached him again, used her free hand to expose it, and placed her fingers tenderly on the scar.

"Did I, I mean she, I mean it do that to you? It's already healed, must've been Rydia that patched you up."

She traced it's direction and length. It probably would've killed most other men.

"Does it hurt?"
