More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Shane opens his mouth to protest, but is cut off when the elevator dings it's arrival at the floor right above them. Most likely to pick up more troops. "I don't have time to argue about this so you win...for now. We'll talk once we get topside."

Shane's flesh begins to crawl and harden, forming a black carapace similar to the one the creature had earlier. The big difference is that this one looks a great deal more solid, able to withstand much more than before. His left arm bulges and expands, forming an enormous shield, while his right one's muscle mass and density increases significantly.

When it is all done, he looks more like a living armor out of a Japanese sci-fi film. With featureless eyes Shane looks to the girls and says in a slithering tone, "Get behind me. They will be storming in guns blazing."

Without question the three girls quickly moved to behind the man they had just rescued. It was odd to think that now, he was saving them.

'If he doesn't accept us once we're topside, it won't really matter. At least we'll be out of this pig sty, and back into the real world. We'll just have to be careful not to be caught again... Although....' Jezebel rose a brow as she looked at the Meta before her. In a strange way she found herself pulled towards him. Not in a romantic way. Jezebel had no time for mushy feeling things. But he was powerful. And they could be of use to him. And he to them. 'Maybe we'll stay by his side after all.' A smirk crossed her lips as she and her sisters prepared themselves for whatever came next.

The elevator dings and the doors slide open. Out of the elevator steps Gidget, adorned in a sleek violet and lavender armor all the way up to her neck. Her head is left exposed, her hair tied back in a bun. Her eyes are determined and without fear.

"Shane."

Shane's eyes square off into slits as he stares her down. He hisses, "Agatha." The carapace crawls over his nose and mouth, making his appearance almost like the mask of the Predators from the film.

Gidget takes a few steps forward and observes the destruction. She is both relieved and surprised to see that no one is dead. She looks over at Kerana who is in tears on her knees. She looks back over to Shane and notices the sisters.

"You three, what are you doing here?"

Jezebel shrugged. "Nothing something like you should concern yourself with. Or should I break down more of you robotic defenses. Sad thing being made out of spare computer parts... they malfunction easily." Her eyes were more like narrow slits as she crossed her arms over her chest, anger seeping off of her.

Gidget's teeth bare down in anger at this girl's ignorance. She could see what had happened now.

"You ignorant brat! You have no idea what you've done, what he's done!"

Shane squats down and then charges at Gidget with his shield arm up.

Gidget's helmet clicks into place from behind her head. She holds out both of her hands and fire twin repulsor blasts from her palms.

Shane feels the force of the blast push him back just as he is about to ram into her. He nearly stumbles over Trinity as he tries to regain his footing.

Gidget's voice comes out over her comm. "Give up Shane. I made sure the security forces stayed behind so that you couldn't consume them. You remember what happened the last time, you aren't getting past me. And despite what your Death Cheer Squad back there thinks, they can't stop me either."

Shane turns his head to the sisters. The carapace crawls away from his mouth as he calls out. "Liadan, weaken it, but don't cancel out it's power. If her soul dies, you and your sisters will die."  

[Tatsoi]

"R-right!" Lia nodded before she let out a slow breath. She focused in on Gigdet, "I'm really sorry, but we can't turn back now." She held her hands out towards Gigdet, as if she were collecting the sapped power in a small ball between her hands.

Jezebel set her hand on Liadan's shoulder. "Nice and slow." She spoke softly in her sister's ear.

Gidget takes two steps forward when she feels herself start to become weightless. She gasps sharply as her faceplate clicks backwards to reveal her terrified eyes. The world around her is starting to become dark, and she falls to her knees. She looks up at Shane with pleading eyes. Her voice glitches and comes out as the thirteen year old girl.

"Sh-Sh-Shane...it fe-e-e-els like I'm dy-y-y-ying again."

She falls forward and rolls onto her back. She feels herself start to slip out of her body, and screams.

Shane stands up straight and whirls back around to the sisters. His eyes pin themselves to Lia as he commands, "Stop, that's enough!"

Liadan dropped her hands, her eyes wide as she stares at Shane. "Sorry. I'm sorry!" She took a step back, bumping into Jezebel.

Jezebel wrapped her arms around Lia as she stepped into her. It was strange to watch her react to him in such a manner. Liadan was always the emotional one. "We should leave before they send anyone else."

Shane returns his arms to normal and turns back toward Gidget. He kneels down next to her and looks into her eyes.

Gidget looks up at Shane with despair. She tries desperately to speak but can only produce clicks and stutters.

For a moment he actually feels some sympathy for the thing. But then he realizes it's just because of what it looks like. He stands and walks to the elevator. He presses the return button and the doors slide open. He steps inside and turns to the girls. "Let's go."

They need no further prompting as they join him in the elevator. Kali's eyes as dim and dead as ever, Jezebel lips holding a sort of twisted smirk, and Liadan's eyes full of unspoken apologies. The youngest member of the trio is the only one to feel bad for what has happened, what she had a part in doing. She turns to Jezebel to speak, but the eldest simply looks at her, and as the doors of the elevator shut, Liadan's memories of that afternoon disspear.

When the doors close Shane can feel a change in the air. He knows it because the creature knew it. He looks down at Jezebel and asks, "Is that really necessary? You can't shield her from pain forever."  

[Tatsoi]

The woman gave a short curt laugh. "I don't do it for her benefit. I do it for mine." She looked at the man for a moment before she turned to Liadan. "Lia is still young, she hasn't learned the proper control over herself, when she has, I won't need to interfear." Her voice was a strange sort of coo as she petted Liadan's head adage spoke about her. The young girl looked up at her sister with bright gray eyes, hopeful and full of life which the others seemed void of. Jez looked back at Shane. "I do wha I must to keep my sisters and I together. Alone we aren't worth anything to anyone anymore."

Annie stirred slightly at Kerana's urging and shaking. Her brown eyes slowly fluttered open. "What's wrong... what happen-"

She ended her question with a string of swears and tried to push herself up and managed to do so, coughing. Turning she saw Gidget and gasped running over to her friend. "Gidget! Gidget talk to me. Tell me what to do to help you," Annie commanded dropping to her knees in front of Gidget.

Gidget wouldn't be dead... no, Shane invested too much to make sure Gidget's soul remained tethered to this world till he could complete his experiment, Annie told herself. And, then there was his promise to me... Backstabbing son of a gun, but he did make a promise. Annie had faith that Shane would keep his promise to not kill anyone else today, she had to have faith in that promise considering her lack of action to stop Shane from leaving.

Trinity coughs the time was 12:00 anything that happened before this point she had no memory of. She looked herself over and rubs her head, as questions arose in her head, I'm in the restricted security facility? Did the light bed not work and I shadow jumped here? she sat up and struggles to stand up and saw the distruction Well whatever was kept here has escaped... Is that... Annie?...Kerana?... she took off her tattered trench cloak and places it on Annie's shoulders and saw who she and Kerana were hovering over.

"Gidget!" she pushes Kerana aside a little and checks Gidget's wrist and pulled up her sleeve. Revealing a blinking red light under her skin, "She's alive but extremely low on power. We need to take her to the lab fast" as she said this her shadow linked with Annie's and Kerana's and not missing a beat she pulled all 3 of them with her they all emerged out of the darkest part of Gidget's lab. She carries Gidget, Trinity had worked out enough to carry her in case of dire emergencies. Gidget had shown her what to do in case if this happened. Noticing that things weren't turning on she switched on the emergency power. Tubes came out and Trinity plugged them in the right places. They weren't tubes of electricity but of nutrition.

As the machine indicated that it was charging her up she brought up monitors to try to figure out what was the current situation and why was everything in state of emergency. She saw the whole security squad at the elevator that lead to where she was, the elevator indicated it was going up. Trinity looks at her phone there were all of these texts that all looked new to her. Then she saw a text she recognized, [Gidget I'll meet you at the diner for breakfast. I think I'm ready to spend a whole day out of the darkness. ]. The time stamp was marked as 11:30pm the day before. This is not good. What good is being head of security if I don't know what happened yesterday... "Do you guys know what's going on? Yesterday seems like a total blank to me..."
