Courtyard (North)

Kisa was smiling again. "I'd love to make friends with you!" She said happily. Her teal eyes sparkled. "Sit?" She asked, sitting on a bench and slapping the part of the bench next to her.

Above the playground a winged figure came down and landed. Shepard looked around. He kept a small blue aura over him. He scanned the area and saw only a few people. He looked behind him and saw a girl with really big teal eyes. He thought they where contacts and something was wrong with them. Before he was about to speak he looked closer and didn't see the outline of contacts. He realized he was staring and looked away. " Those are really big eyes. Like the grays" he said to himself smiling a bit.  

[The Razz]

Rayna laughed nervously and sat down next to Kisa, twirling a piece of hair, looking at it with interest. "Me too..." she said quietly. She then looked up to the person with the small blue aura, curious. Her fox ears twitched, making the jingle-y sound with her piercings. "Sir....why were you looking in her eyes so much?" she asked, smiling a bit.

Shepard nearloy fell over. Damn himself. " I was looking..because..because...because..damn...uhh..there was a bug infront of her?' Shepard said. In a fight he was a good bluffer. To women he sucked. And they always seemed to know when you lied. Damn them and there extra senses.  

[The Razz]

Rayna giggled behind her hand, then moved a piece of hair out of her face. "Of course, sir." she said. " A large, invisible beetle was in front of her!" she added, raising her hands in the hair and laughing. SHe then ceased her laughed and sighed. "Sorry, sir, but I get a bit sarcastic at times. My apologies if it offended you."

" Whatever--Son of a b***h! I thought Gordon killed him!" Shepard said looking at the sky. There was a purple object moving fast. Shepard growled drawing his two samrui swords. They glowed a nice hue of blue. He got into a defense stance but looked in confusion when the ball of purple light just passed over them.


" No that's not him. That someone else. More evil. more stronger." he said looking in direction the being went in.

Kisa stared at the sky and sighed. She closed her eyes, thinking back to her miserable experience during grade school. She shook her head, trying to free herself from the pain. The blonde looked back down to the fox. "Would you... would you tell me what happened? Before you came to school? Because I feel like there's something wrong..." Kisa had a rare, 'I'm-totally-paying-attention' look. "I'll tell you mine if you tell me your's." ((I feel like I'm saying 'I'll show you mine of you show me your's'. Dx Ewww.))

 

[The Razz]

Rayna looked down to her hands as she twiddled her thumbs, biting her lip. She was clearly debating on whether she should tell her. It would be nice to tell someone, but she wasn't sure if she was ready. She cleared her throat and nodded to herself. She had decided to tell her.

"Well..." she began. "Someone very close to me....you could say my guardian...he died. And I killed the one who did it. I-I had to...." she whispered. "He was going to kill me. But I murdered him.....my foster mother sent me here to forget."

Kisa looked up again. "Wow," She said, glancing at Rayna in the corner of her eye. "Now I feel like my experience was a walk in the park!" But when Kisa thought about it, she almost cried, anytime. She looked down and stared at her teal flip-flops. "I... was tormented by somebody in school. The rumor they spread spread through the school. It caused emotional problems for me, and they all thought it was fun to torment me so they did until the office actually called me down to inform me that if I kept doing drugs I'd be expelled." She swallowed even though it hurt now. "I ran home and stayed there for the rest of the year and... now I'm suicidal." She smiled. "But only when I have deep emotional problems."

 

[The Razz]

Rayna sighed, slumping her shoulders. "I'm terribly sorry for what happened to you," she said. "I was suicidal once. But then I learned..." she paused, staring upwards and leaning back. "...to live life to the fullest." she sighed, closing her eyes. "I'm not in mourning to the point of suicide, but more of depression and regret. If only he hadn't jumped in front of me..." she trailed off, wiping her eyes, trying to rid of the unformed tears that might appear. "He killed my family, also." she whispered.

Kisa's eyes widened. "Oh my God! I..." Kisa stopped and hugged Rayna. "I'm pathetic compared to you..." She said quietly. Her teal eyes clouded with regret. Regret for how she had acted, how she had ran away from her fears, and how she had sobbed with emotional pain.

" Pain is natural in life. Loss is natural. Some people have a better chance of losing loved ones than others. The world is full of taint. The world is full of injustice. Your losses and pain is horrible but things always get better. Never linger in the past or the future will kill you" Shepard said still staring at the sky. Pain,injustice,death. He was used to this. He was born just after an era of war and death. He was used to the smell and the screams. But he could never get used to the loss. None ever should.

Rayna blinked when Kisa hugged her, but naturally hugged back. She whispered, "Don't feel regret. You're not pathetic." She then looked over to Shepard. "For someone who is so terrible around girls, you are wise." she giggled.

Kisa smiled at Rayna's comment. "Thank you, Ray." She then turned to Shepard. "Oh yes, I agree with you, Rayna." The blonde girl giggled slightly and pulled out her sketchbook, which she flipped open and used to draw a sketch of an angel. "I suck." She muttered as she finished quickly. She had been drawing it earlier.

Shepard smiled as he turned to them " When your the village genuis you have to know this stuff. I'm Shepard by the way. " he said still smiling. He was reisting the urge to stare into Kisa's eyes. So bright Teal. Like a nightlight.
