Courtyard (North)

[The Razz]

Rayna shook her head as she took the sketchpad from her, flipping through the pages. "These are lovely!" she said with enthusiasm, as if they had never had the previous conversation. She looked up to Shepard and smiled. "Rayna. It's a pleasure." she said, looking through the sketchpad once more.

Jasper glided into the courtyard. There were only a few people. That was better. Less chance for tales to spread. How she hated those tales.

First she'd find a spot cleared from trees and water. The bench would do. Jasper stood atop it, arms raised to the side, hair rising in a ghostly manner.

Storm clouds that were looming overhead flashed with lightening. Wind swirled around her, lifting stray leaves in a spiral.

Light glowed withing the torrent. It enveloped her, blinding. And then slowly it began to shrink.

Jasper was no longer standing on the bench. In her place was a small, glowing orb about six inches high, hovering. The previous storm had increased her energy.

A giggle came from the orb. She was able to change into her full form. It had been so long since she had. The dangerous but beautiful: Storm Sprite.

Try as she may, Evelyn just could seem to concetrate. There was blinding light coming from the corner of her eye and it made her wince a bit. As soon as she did though, the light from her hands and the paper faded. A gust of wind blew all her hard work into the fountain.

She sat there for a moment, watching the folded paper float in teh water before sinking to the bottom. A disappointed frown came to her face as she looked around for the source of that light. Her eyes landed on a glowing orb thingy on a bench, not too far from her. The frown disappeared and curiousness took over. Her cybernetic eye couldn't determine what it was. It kept scrolling Unknown Light Source. Well the only way to learn was to explore, her mother always said, so Evelyn got up and cautiously approached the ball of light.

Within the span of a few moments, the light began to fade. It revealed Jasper, small yet deadly.

Only about six inches high with butterfly wings in violent shades of blue and purple. Her long hair swirled about, still alive from the tranformation.

'' It's good to be back, '' she muttered, her voice like bells, but not squeaky. It was a human's vocals inside the tiny body.

Teasting her powers she sent a small spark of lightening dancing from her fingertips, directed at a nearing person.

A tiny person. That was all Evelyn saw when the light faded. Just a little person. Still she was curious. As she crept closer, her eye atetmpted to scan again. Unfortunately for her, she saw the spark of lightening too late.

She eep'ed and covered her eye. The electricty had shorted out her eye. Nothing serious, but still.... She rubbed with her palm, letting it reset itself.

"Hey, what was that for?"

Jasper giggled. Hands clasp behind her back she rocked from foot to foot.

" I'm sorry,'' she voiced, '' I was only testing my lightening. I'm a Storm Sprite you see, well half-sprite at least. I've just been able to change because of the wonderous thunderstorm we recieved earlier. I do hope I didn't harmyou too badly''

Evelyn continued to rub her eye. Like that innocent act is fooling me...

"Nothing time won't heal." She took her hand down and blinked a few times, her vision clearing up nicely. "I'm Evelyn, by the way." She nodded. "I would shake your hand, but I really don't need another shock."

Besides, she thought, how do you shake hands with a person who's only 6 inches tall?

Jasper giggled innocently again. With a few measured flaps of her wings she landed lightly on Evelyn's shoulder.

" I'm Jasper. And I promise I won't shock you again. '' the sprite's voice tinkled.

Wind swirled in a friendly spiral around Evelyn's feet, to show no animosity.

Name: Jasper. Information updated. Well her eye seemed to be working again.

With a laugh, Evelyn held her skirt down as the wind danced around her legs. She smiled at Jasper.

"That's pretty amazing," she said. "Heh, I never even knew most of the people here existed, let alone met one." She chuckled to herself and walked over to the bench. Very carefully, she sat down, making sure not to jolt her new companion.

"So, what does a storm sprite do?"

Jasper held on to Evelyn's hair as she sat to keep her balance. Once her companion was seated, Jas also sat, crossing her legs and leaning back on her hands. She decided that the full history would be better.

" Well, a storm sprite is just like other sprites. We can call on the magic of Rhea, or Mother Earth. A forest sprite will use plant and ground magics to protect and tend to the forest. Forest and water sprites are the most common. After them are the Light and Dark Sprites. They are usually seen around people. Finaly you have two very rare sprites. Wild and Storm. Wild Sprites call upon the untamed creatures. A storm sprite, like myself, controls the weather.''

She paused to let this sink in, '' it's a risky buisness because weather rarely wants to change it course. I myself can call upon rain, snow, thunderstorms, blizzards and light winds. I have the ability to call a hurricane, but I cannot conrol it very well.''

Kisa's eyes were slightly covered with a soft smile pasted on her face. "Thanks." She said in response from Rayna's comment on her pictures. She glanced up to see Shepard trying not to look at her. She stood up and stuck out her chest and then went back. ((She was moving back and forth on her heels and tippy toes. xP ...I can't describe thinggggggs.)) "I'm Kisa, nice to meet you!" She said, her cheeks tinted pink.
