More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

When Lia gave her mini-fanfare, Shane couldn't help but smile and chuckle. Laughter, something he hasn't experienced in a long while.

His joy is cut short, however, by the sound of the elevator rising from the admission area. Shane quickly throws his plan into action. His biomass starts to shift and slither from his front, flowing to his backside like a wave. As it passes his appearance changes. His naked body is now clothed in a security officers uniform, and his face and body are that of the late pyro-meta North.

"I'm escorting three students to safety, and this is your aunt coming to take you home for a little while. Is everyone clear on their role?"

Annie rolled her eyes at the sisters agreeing to come, they were going to be a liability, And, she didn't like the idea of involving girls that seemed so young in her plan to take down Daedalus, but then again, the more the merrier on taking them down, perhaps. Then there was the obvious dislike the eldest sister had for her... the girls were trouble, but if Shane agreed to take them with them there wasn't much she could do. He was right, Gidget would track the girls most likely for letting Shane escape.

Sighing, Annie nodded at Shane's plan, and relieved from her embarrassment to see him clothed now, but surprised to see the shift in his appearance: what was the limits to his powers? "Let's just hope we don't run into anyone I know and the plan should work."

Trinity, watched the transformation and felt the need to warn her men.[Keep sharp Shane is disguised as North. He was injured earlier he may give into feeding. Approach with extreme caution.] she sends the text to the captain and Gidget. Little did she know North was already on the hot list for events that happened yesterday.

Trinity emerged in the elevator moving to the front, "Don't believe what you see...Shane is North." It was obvious that this fight is taking a lot out of her already she looked really worn out.

One of the security squad answered, his name was Victor he was an ice meta "Ms. Smith we know this already he was on the list of people to look out for as of yesterday. We are aware that North is shal we say... no more. Are you sure you are up to this Ms. Smith? You seem awfully tired."

Trinity took note of his rank and his power, the elemental powers have a badge representing what element they are a part of. "As long as I try I'll be alright. Approach with caution he may give into his feeding habits especially since he's been injured. Be sure to keep your distance. Were we able to reach Gidget's source for the gas? Do we have any with us?"

The captain inhales through his teeth, signifying the coming of bad news.

"Yeah, about that...Ms. Morris has prohibited the use of the gas outside. As long as her brother has potential access to North's powers, then he can make napalm out of the gas. However, Ms. Morris has authorized the use of tasers and stun rods. She said it disrupts his concentration and makes it hard for him to manipulate his biomass."

One of the other officers pipes up with a question. "She also said something about him "going critical," but she wouldn't go into detail about what that means. We were hoping you might know something about it?"

Shane follows closely behind Annie and the girls. Beads of sweat start to form on his brow, the transformation having taken much more out of him than he had anticipated. He looks around the campus, the way the tents are set up, and it's many students and staff. He had to give it to the machine, it ran one hell of an operation.

Much to his dismay, he spots someone from North's life. The receptionist from admitting, Amanda. North's memories are clear, they had been flirting with each other for a while.

Shane averts his eyes to the ground, hoping that she doesn't notice him.

Annie bit her lip watching as beads of sweat formed on Shane's changed forehead. Banning him from killing anyone was obviously taking a lot out of him. They weren't going to escape if Shane got any worse, and no doubt he was.

"One more person if you have to," Annie muttered under her breath, leaning over to Shane to whisper what she said in his ear. "Avoid innocents."

She leaned back and remained calm faced though inside her mind her conscious was screaming at her. But she calmed it with thoughts of revenge against the Daedalus Project. Shane wasn't going to be busted out of here if she continued to operate on a no kill stand point, not when Shane had taken this much damage already.

Trinity heard the captain but understood Gidget's decision, "Understood."
She heard the question about, 'going critical' Trinity let out a deep breath, "Let's just say last time it happened he made shishcabob out of the Daedalus Project. Thus why I'm emphasizing keep your distance. I you can encase him do so ice troops go first. We may have to lure him out from the crowd."

Amanda looks up and sees North. She let out an admiring sigh and thought of what Liv said. She thought he was done by bringing the family of metas back to the tents. She took a deep breath here goes nothing... she gets up and runs to him "North!" she wraps her arms around him hugging him.

Shane mutters under his breath, "Aw sh*t."

By the time he picks his head up to look at her she had already effectively landed a vice grip around his torso. He exhales sharply, and hesitantly puts his arms around her and pats her back.

"Hey Amanda...quite the surprise...the sudden hug there."

Shane can feel every nuance of her life. The plasma carrying her blood, the cracking synapses of her brain, and even her genetic memory. His body cries out for her, and not in a pleasant way.

In an effort to stop thinking about her as food, he tries to concentrate on the mission at hand. In a few seconds the guards would be arriving at the lobby. He needs a distraction.

He gently lays his hands on her shoulders and moves her so he can look at her face. "Hey hey, I've got some good news from on high. Ms. Morris said that the alert is over and we can start herdi---HELPing the students and staff back in to Valhalla."

"Y'know, it would take a really awesome person to have the initiative to escort the children in first. That way its just-us-adults...if you catch my drift?"

Amanda's heart fluttered at his request. Perhaps he has been holding back his feelings for her as well. Her neutral complexion had pink cheeks for a moment she smiled and said, "Sure! Anything for you hot shot." she winks at him and gets the ball rolling. She tells her supervisor what's going on. The supervisor, not knowing the details about Shane, or North, hands her the loud speaker and relays North's message. The crowd sounded relieved and a little grumpy because they are
yet again has to wake up and go back to bed. Amanda makes her way back. She rushes back to find North hoping she would get the chance to share with him what she meant to share with him a while. "North! I have something important to tell you!" she calls out to him.

Annie bristles with Amanda's sudden hug of Shane, surprised by her own jealousy rising. Ignored, the air around her heated it up slightly suddenly and calmed just as suddenly as it first heated. Annie smiled, while she thought, I guess I have less control of my powers than I thought...

Once Amanda was gone and before she returned, Annie asked Shane, "When did you get so good at flirting?"

The elevator door opens and the security team is met with an enormous crowd in the lobby trying to get back to their dorms. Worse yet, 90% of them are children. The captain shouts, "What the Hell is going on?!"

Shane smiles and waves as Amanda leaves. As soon as she starts busying herself he looks to Annie and says, "I didn't, I used this body's memories and personality. Seems he did this sort of thing a lot. Now let's get out of here before more of North's admirers decide to give me a hug."

He expediently hurries through the crowd until he finds the parking lot. He goes over to a car that will fit the five of them and be an inconspicuous as possible, a mid 90's jeep.

He reshapes his finger into a skeleton key and unlocks the door. After settling into the drivers seat he leans under the console and starts hot wiring it. It's times like this he is glad that he consumed a car thief.

He hears Amanda call out for the apple of her eye and Shane actually feels himself shudder. He turns his head around and looks at Jez.

"Jezebel, if that woman comes back over here feel free to convince her she never saw me here."

"Whatever." She muttered as she watched the woman. She was starting to feel like she was some kind of errand girl. but she didn't say anything. She had put herself in that place, and she wasn't one to complain out loud for no reason. It pissed her off when other complained about their lot in life.

Amanda ran after them reaching out for North. Today was the day she was very determined to catch up with North.

Trinity sees the chaos "Damn it!" she swore under her breath. She took a deep breath and looked at the soldiers she had with her, but she realizes she doesn't have enough power to shadow travel again with a group especially one this big. "I'm going out there to see if I can stall him. I'm afraid I can't take all of you with me right now." she drops in her shadow and she got to the farthest shadow she could emerge from. It was Amanda's.


Jezebel could see Trinity emerge from Amanda's shadow.

"Seriously?" Annie asked under her breath as Amanda came running after them, but her disbelieving question turned into a vivid swearing as she noticed Trinity appear behind Amanda.

"Shane! We have trouble," Annie said. "Trinity's has caught up with us. And I really don't want to hurt her..."

Annie closed her eyes preparing herself to use her power if need be, calling on the moisture in the atmosphere, and the air around Trinity began to heat up as the air grew dry immediately around Trinity. A shower of hydrochloric acid should slow her down, Annie thought biting her lip. "Trinity," Annie muttered aloud, "Don't make me douse you in acid rain."

Shane is the next one to swear audibly as he hears Annie make her threat to Trinity. This is exactly what he had been afraid she'd do. Her devotion to him would cause her to kill. He tells himself that he is not going to allow her to follow him into Hell.

The Jeep growls to life with a spark in Shane's hands. He stands up and shouts for Annie to get out of the way. His right arm slithers and twists into a thin appendage with barbs and talons where his hand should be. His shoulder look like a balled up coil of flesh.

He rears back and whips out his right arm, throwing the barbed end like a harpoon at Trinity. He realizes that she is still behind Amanda, but reason is no longer in control of Shane. A small part of him hopes that Trinity throws Amanda to the ground, but the larger part of him hopes that his arm pierces through Amanda so he can consume her and sate his hunger.

Turning around, Annie ducks, her concentration broken a shower of water douses Trinity and Amanda. Annie watched as Shane throws the barbed end of his arm out at Amanda and Trinity and she swears under her breath, "I said no innocents!" Amanda, as annoying as she was at the moment, wasn't a guard or someone else trying to stop them from escaping like Trinity was.
