Hiro couldn't help laughing softly at her words, but quickly coughed in a poor attempt to hide it. Then he grinned rather wickedly at the tea set. "See? You should have listened." He stepped forward, tightening his hold on Yuki as he raised one foot. "Goodbye," he said in a sing-song voice and then his boot came crashing down, smashing the nearest thing to pieces, which just happened to be a plate. He continued smashing them, feeling almost childish but not minding at all, and he didn't stop until all was destroyed. The only thing he couldn't smash with his feet was the knife. This he simply picked up, holding it in his claws so it didn't stab him, and deftly bent it in half. Then he nodded towards Elspeth, stepping back from the mess he'd made. "All done," he grinned.

"You're terribly brave.. defending maidens from attacking hordes like that. Would you be my knight?" Her head cocked to a side, asking the question with the same fresh faced and naive sort of honestness she always spoke with. "I get myself in an awful lot of trouble, it seems, when I try spells.. and you look like you'd be a good knight."

Elspeth stood slightly on her toes, looking over to Yuki for the first time, brow knitting with worry. "...Is.. she alright? Is it a sleeping sickness? I heard there were these awful sleeping sicknesses from bugs that bite you in your sleep if its too warm... I can get a nurse, I can fly over quickly and get one if she's not alright, seeing as she is my other best friend and all. I think that's what we decided."

Hiro blinked in surprise at the request and then laughed, shaking his head. "Oh, I don't think I'd be a very good knight," he grinned. "I'm sure there are other very good candidates around here somewhere." His grin faded just an instant at her inspection of Yuki before replacing itself. The image of what had happened flicked across his mind once more before he could stop it. He sighed very quietly though, also looking at Yuki. "No, she's fine. Just sleeping..." He glanced up, smiling again. "And it's not a sickness," he comfirmed. "Just tired."

Rayna walked back into the courtyard from the music room, sighing. She found herself standing in front of the fountain again, looking up at it without expression. She looked around to see a few people around, but she payed no attention to them. She looked back up to the fountain again, tilting her head to the side. She smiled a bit, dropping her messenger bag to the ground. Rayna then walked right up to the fountain and placed her hands on its rim, hoisting herself up. Once she stood straight up, she lifted her arms up to balance herself as she walked on the rim, smiling softly. She closed her eyes, carefully putting one foot in front of the other.

After a while, she sat down cross-legged on the rim, staring into the water. she reached out to it and splashed it a bit, grinning at the sound. 'Water always calms me, for some reason.' she thought to herself, her index finger still in the water. 'Makes me in a better mood. Before I came here, I would always go to the lake near my house and sit there.' Rayna lied down on her stomach, moving her hand back and forth through the cold water, her eyes half open. 'And when I was traveling, there was that one lake in Birlem that was so beautiful...Kylie, Charlie and I would go down there a lot...'

She sighed, reminising in her thoughts of the past. She knew it was unhealthy to dwell in her past. She thought it would be better just to focus on her present and what would happen in the future. But somehow she couldn't shake off the thoughts of not so long ago when everything happened. Though her mother thought that Rayna would forget her troubles at this new school, Rayna could only remember. 'Hawk....if he could hear me now. I wonder where I would be if...' she stopped that thought right there. She knew what would have happened if it were her and not Hawk.

Rayna took her hand out of the water and shook it off. She then propped herself up by her elbows, staring into her reflection in the water. 'I wish I didn't have to kill him. I wish he didn't kill my family. I wish...' she stopped, then thought, 'Wishing isn't going to take back what he did. It isn't going to bring my family back, bring Hawk back to life, or anything. Wishing isn't going to help me in life. But still...' she sighed, letting her elbows move and laying her hands down on the cool cement, resting her head down on them.

After an accidental and extended stay in a line that appeared to lead to one the womens restroom, Tekishe made his way to his courtyard to wait for his parents to show up with his the things for his room. After a few seconds of standing and looking around the boy shouted "Hooo-e am I bored" before a local squirrel hopped on by. Letting out an overjoyous high pitched squeal complete with flaing hand above his head and pupils dialated to dangerously puppy like sizes he took of after the unfortunate rodent.

Terry made his way across the courtyard, keeping one eye on his watch and another on the look out for his father. His ears burned red with embarassment already, praying he wouldn't run into any of his potential new friends while his father helped him move his stuff into his dorm. The last thing he needed was his dad yelling at him from--

"HELLO, MY ONE AND ONLY SON! BELOVED OF MY LOINS! COME AND EMBRACE YOUR LOVING FATHER!"

From the other side of the courtyard, a tall man in hand made clothes, sporting long dred locks and carrying several suitcases, waved at his son, a big stupid grin plastered acrossed his face.

Terry cringed and tried to shrink inside himself.

Freezing in the middle of his Scurid chasing adventure, Tekishe turned his head towards the excited older man and grinned wildly. He began off quickly towards the red head and siezed his hand, despite any objections he may have.

"WhatisupI'mTekisheandI'mprettyboredcanyouguysuseanyhelpbecause OH MAN amIbored."

Hikaru was frantically running around the courtyard, making sure to dash only for short distances so as not to injure herself again. Whenever she stopped, she held a hand over her eyes and began to scan around the courtyard, squinting and examining her surroundings intently. Each attempt ended in an apparent failure, as she shrugged her shoulders and sighed.

"Man... where is he? He said he'd meet me here half an hour ago!"

Just then, a rather overdramatic laughter could be heard ringing throughout the courtyard. Hikaru perked up immediately, recognizing the voice, and began to look around. Finally, she looked up. There, in the trees above, stood a rather tall and lanky man dressed in a white labcoat and wearing thin glasses. His arms were crossed as he continued laughing, and his coat flapped dramatically behind him in the breeze. Hikaru's grin grew as she caught sight of him.

"DADDY!" she exclaimed loudly, running over toward the tree with her arms extended.

The laughter halted abruptly as the man adjusted his glasses and looked down at her. A similar grin splayed across his face as he noticed Hikaru coming toward him, and he vaulted forth from the tree branch he was standing on, landing in front of her and striking a heroic pose.

"YES! The great Dr. Yuki, the foremost scientific mind of the century has arrived!" He struck another equally dramatic and embarrassing pose.

Hikaru squealed in excitement, running over to her father and tackling him into a hug. "You're so cool, dad!" xd

Terry stumbled back a bit, attempting to take in what the new boy was saying and growing insanely red at having his hand grabbed. He pulled it away as soon as he realized it being held.

Terry looked over at his father, bounding towards him like he was running across a field of daisies in a dumb romance movie. "My name's Terry," he said quickly to Tekishe. "And, um, maybe we'd better go--"

"TARIQ, MY BELOVED SON!"

"Dad!" Terry yelled at the aproaching older man. "I told you to call me Ter--mmphmmphpmmmm~"

The older man, who can only be described as an aging hippy, crushed Terry's face into his chest in a huge hug. "AH MY SON," he said. "I SEE YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE A WONDERFUL NEW FRIEND." At this, Terry's father attempts to grab Tekishe into the hug.

Terry's belongings lie forgotten behind them.

Tekishe's face, having lit up bright enouhg to rival the sun itself, outstreched his arms and accepted the older gentleman's hug, smashing Tariq between him and his father. "HUGFEST!" He shouted, letting it echo through the local area.

First came the pixies dropping rose petals in a trail up to the door. Then came the dryad musicians playing harps and the little fawn-satyrs playing pan pipes, skipping before the entourage and dancing in merry circles. Next were attendants; beautiful women with long slender ears of the different colors of the rainbow waving fans for the chariot being drawn by a fairy steed, leaving in its wake a field of blooming flowers.

A handsome, relatively young looking man sat regally, staring straight forward, bearing a crown and dressed in finery. Flowers adorned his clothing and his hair was a bright, fresh green like grass. Standing next to him was Elspeth, entirely obvious to the fact that this was an odd showing, bookbag on her back. Behind them further a few fairies overladen with objects--lamps, computers, boxes of clothing, desperately attempted to catch up--chiming and tinkling miserable sounding bells.

"My most beautiful daughter, my jewel, my flower, heir to my kingdom, my most beloved treasure, lady of the spring court, duchess of blooming flowers, child of the rainbow laugh... Where is your dormatory from here?" He looked down at Elspeth who blinked a few times.

"..Er.. I.. I don't know. I lost my map.." She in turn looked about, glancing over to Hikaru and waving her down before flying from her place on the chariot. "Hey.. hey! New best friend, hey, over here!"
PostPosted: Sun Apr 23, 2006 6:56 pm
Hikaru hugged her father tightly as he picked her up off the ground, spinning her in the air. She laughed happily and jumped back down to the ground. It was then that she noticed the other older man bouncing across the middle of the courtyard - and moreover, who he'd bounced into. She smiled, calling out and waving.

"Hey, Terry! Over here! Is that your dad?"

Dr. Yuki cupped a hand over his eyes to stare over at the two, turning back to his daughter. His speech was just as high-handed and overdramatic as it was when he'd first made his entrance, carrying all the same vigor and self-importance with it.

"Why, my beloved and only daughter! Is that charming young man over there a friend of yours? Let's go over and meet him!"

Before Hikaru had a chance to respond, her father was already making his way over to Terry and his father. His movements were quick and erratic, as he darted through the small crowd of students separating he and his daughter from the other group on the other side of the courtyard. Hikaru rushed over after him.

"Hey Terry!" she said, smiling. "How are you doing? Is this guy your dad?" She pointed to the man in the labcoat, who was busily circling around Terry and his father, looking them up and down. "This is my dad! He's going to help me move my stuff in!"

At the introduction, Dr. Yuki stopped abruptly back in front of Terry and his father, extending his hand for a shake and not really waiting for anyone to shake it so much as vigorously shaking Terry's hand himself.

"Nice to meet you, young man! Terry, was it? I'm sure you and my little Hikaru will become fast friends!"

Hikaru nodded enthusiastically at this. "Yeah! We're gonna play soccer together later!"

"Soccer!" Dr. Yuki exclaimed. "Wonderful! It's always good to see young people exercising their bodies as well as their minds! After all, a strong mind needs a healthy body to live in! Wouldn't you agree?"

He seemed to be waiting for an equally enthusiastic affirmative from either Terry, his father, or the strange lad standing next to them.

As she was making introductions, Hikaru heard another familiar voice call out to her. Her eyes went wide as she glimpsed the royal procession taking place in the middle of the school's courtyard, and all she could do was wave dumbly back at Elspeth for a few seconds. Shaking off the confusion, she regained her usual composure and smiled widely.

"Hi El! Come on over here and meet mine and Terry's dads!"

She waved her over to the little group that was forming around Terry, who was no doubt looking more and more like a five and a half foot tall tomato with every passing second.

Terry flailed around and attempted to break free of the hug pile. "Mmpmphmmppmphhmpmphhh~" He said.

Meanwhile his father, with tears of joy streaming down his face, looked at Tekishe. crying "IT DOES A FATHER'S HEART PROUD TO SEE HIS SON MAKING SUCH WHOLESOME AND WELL-MEANING FRIENDS HERE. YOU MUST PROMISE ME TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF EACH OTHER AS IT IS THE FRIENDS YOU MAKE IN YOUR YOUNGER YEARS THAT SEE YOU THROUGH LIFES TRIALS."

He takes one hand away from the grapple to wipe his nose. Those savy in the summoning arts would notice talisman's and sigils of a 2nd class summoner dangle from the older man's wrist.

Terry took the opurtunity to break away. He gasped for breath turning from blue to red again as he realized both Hikaru and Elspeth were there as well. They'd all seen the embarrasing bundle of flesh he called a dad.

"Uh, yeah," Terry said, shaking Hikaru's father's hand. "This is my dad, and uh...this is Tekishe" He points to the boy still hugging his father.

Crying along with Terry's fahter now, Tekishe expunges his joy along with him, "I am so glad that I could be of such help and that friend-" he stops, turning wildly and leaaving Terry' father hugging the air, at the sound of his name.

"Hi! I'm Tekishe, and I must be saying to you to ladies 'What is up?'" while making a head level, open hand jesture in both their directions.
