More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Shane looks down at Lia and smiles warmly. He places his hand on her head the way he used to do with Gidget and rubs the top of her head slightly. "You should get some rest too Lia. We've got a lot to do and a long way to travel to do it. Why are they sleeping on that chair though? There are supposed to be enough beds in here for the five of us."

Gidget allows herself to be hugged. Normally she would return the gesture in kind, but right now it just feels pointless to her. "Thanks Trinity, it's good to know that...even though I knew that before. Speaking of watching each others backs, we should get a local on our other friends."

Gidget approaches the panel in front of the monitors and uploads the meta-human signatures she has stored in her memory. The display spilts into equal parts and shows Tansy, Ako, Justine, and Deora.

Gidget smiles slightly, "There they are. It looks like Justine might be hurt, but the others seem unharmed for the most part." She squints her eyes as the readings regarding Tansy. Something about them seemed wrong.

"Um, oh yeah! I have this!" Deora said pulling Justine's blindfold from her back pocket, where it had been hanging. She handed it over to Kerana and explained, "She's had this over her eyes since I met her, so her scent should be all over it."

Justine paused for a moment as he handed her the wet nap. She gave him a strange look, mostly because she had to do so with her eyes closed, but didn't say anything and she wiped it over most of her face, unsure of where exactly the blood was at. "Thank you." She said softly.

"Since when is Logic so important anyways!" She shouted at him. "Besides, that's what friends do for each other! We head face first into danger to help people. It's what I've always done! And I;m not going to start changing now! I can't deny who I am any longer. I can't hide behind a mask! So if you want to leave then FINE! What do I care. I DON'T!" She turned away from him and started down the hall to find her friends. "Gigdet! Annie! Ako!"

"Uhhhh." Lia frowned somewhat as she looked down at her feet. "Cause they were REEEEAAAALLLY tried...." She looked up at him, almost pleading for him to believe her. Her lower lip quivering slightly.

Shane studies the young girl for a moment. She is lying to him, that much he can tell. Why though, and what about? Is it possible that she used her power to knock her sisters out?

And that look, that pitiful look that is so much like Gidget's. She used to make that face at him whenever she wanted something. Shane couldn't stand that look...mostly because it always worked on him. Yet now he realizes that the look is something he had missed.

Shane places his hands on her shoulders and says to her in a gentle and fatherly tone, "Lia, you remind me a lot of my sister when she was still alive. I used to tell her that she never had to hide anything from me. That she could always trust me. I'm extending that same offer to you. I don't want you to feel like you have to hide anything from me. It's because of you and your sisters that I was freed from that prison. So if there is something I can do for you, or you feel like talking, just look my way."

Annie smiled with relief when Shane said the kidnapping would be fine as long as it didn't interfere with his plans. Not that she was going to avoid kidnapping the child she had her eye on- Experiment 166, a six year old child with abilities similar to Annie's own except that the child could create acid and poisons and even water out of using just air- if the child did get in Shane's way.

Annie didn't have long to reflect on the child, though, before Lia was pouncing on Shane. Shane did bring up a good point it was odd that the two older sisters were passed out on the chair. She didn't say anything as Shane tries to coax Lia to tell what happened. He was the one who was good with kids, after all he raised Gidget.

Trinity lets go of her and goes to the screen showing the four metas. Two of them she recognized as old friends, the other two she didn't. But based on what she pointed out she could identify Justine. Then she saw Kerana glomp Deora and suspected that it was Kerana's new room mate. "It looks like Justine is in good hands with Ako." she looks back to Gidget squinting her eyes, " What's wrong?"

Gidget points to Tansy's portion of the monitor. "Something about Tansy isn't right. Her levels are in constant flux, like something is trying to be changed that doesn't want to be."

"Hmm... Does that mean her power is unstable? If that's the case should Tansy be considered a threat? I won't tell the troops unless it's supported by her actions. Speaking of which I really need to get back to the troops. In case if the other theoretical possibilities are to occur. Do you need me to plug you back in for charging?"

Gidget nods and takes a seat back in her chair. "I appreciate it. And I wouldn't worry about Tansy. She wouldn't hurt anyone here. She'd die before hurting innocents."

The young girl frowned deeply as Shane spoke to her. She'd always been a bad liar, but her parents never really cared, and her sister's never called her out on it. She wanted to trust him, but Jeze had always told her that she could only trust family. Her eyes began to tear as she threw herself at him in a tight hug. "Jeze was going to make me forget you!" She cried. "I don't want to forget you!" She sniffed. "Your nice and you care. Our Dad is always gone on business trips, we don't get to see him for more then an hour at a time." She pulled away from him an wiped away her tears. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to get you all wet...."

Trinity gave a confirmed nod and she started making the preparations for Gidget to restore her energy. She picks up one of the tubes and found there was no puddle, it must have been one of Gidget's inventions cleaning up the mess. One by one she plugs the tubes in the right places and when it started working she asked, "Do you still want me to keep an eye on her still?" referring to Tansy.

Shane frowns upon hearing the way her sister was going to control her younger sibling's mind. Jezebel had said doing so was to keep them together, but this sounds more like brainwashing...literally.

Shane chuckled when Liadan apologized for getting his shirt wet. He gently pulls her back to him and gives her a tender hug. "It sounds like you have it pretty rough."

A thought occurs to him. He tries to feel out Liadan's mental activity. Something about it feels off. He pulls away from her and looks her in the eyes. "Liadan, how often does Jezebel make you forget things? I promise I wont get angry or upset, I'm just curious. It's the scientist in me."

Gidget starts to feel the suits power assist her own in keeping it mobile, thus easing her effort to stay connected. She sighs, thinking back to when she could just eat a sandwich and getting a good nights sleep to feel better.

"Naw, don't worry about it. I think it would be best to gather everyone here though so we can figure what's going to be done next. If you could I would greatly appreciate if you could have your guys escort them here. I'd make the call but my coms are still not quite synced the way they should."
