Nova shook his head. "No just being nostalgic I suppose. Reminds me of my own situation. Perhaps that story is about me. Perhaps it's not. Too many memories have been lost to me already to be sure."

His gaze followed Hassai's. "Your guardian found our pursuers didn't it? I had hoped to have put some more distance between us. We might need to leave depending on how this situation unfolds. I trust your guardian will do all it can but we need to prepare." Nova said calmly. His own orbs hovered around the two invaders before dispersing." As I thought. They have found us."

Trinity woke up to the sound of Kerana entering the cabin "Hey Nova I think I heard the gaurdian did something happen? Nova? Hasaii? Where did they go?" Not that stirring her slumber was a hard thing to do. She could not remember the last time she slept through the night fully, afraid that someone would take advantage and kill her in her sleep. Regardless she lay there a couple of moments with her eyes wide opened then sat up. She stretched a bit before getting the rest of her fear on then entering the room herself.

"What's going on?" She asked Kerana.

"I heard the guardian just now. I was hoping I'd find Nova to help fill in the details. Have you seen them?"

"No, I just woke up. They must be patrolling the area. Let's find wolf boy and look for them. They are probably not far."

They head back out joining Alec. "I'll go find them, be right back." She drops through her shadow. She emerged from Nova's shadow as they looked upon her she noted Nova seemed concerned. "What's going on?" She addressed the Nova.

Nova raised an eyebrow when Trinity appeared." You do not sleep a lot do you?"He turned his attention back to the direction of their pursuers." It seems we have been followed. The golem or Kajoko, most likely detected them as well. He might stop them or he might not. Either way I suspect it would wise to depart from here. As nice as it would have been to stay the night it would not be safe. We do not know who the necromancer sent after us. Could be Shara again or someone else." Nova explained calmly.

"I can destroy everything that comes after us but we would make no progress if we did that. I suggest we leave."

"Look who's talking..." she smirked a little, "I haven't since this whole thing started..." she answered to Nova's question. As Nova explained the situation things became serious. "I'll go get the others..." she dropped through her shadow.

She emerged from Kerana's shadow giving her a fright in the process. "Fox girl you were right. Nova said we must go. Come with me." without another word she took Kerana and Alec through the shadows emerging from Nova's and Hasaii's shadows. "Alright, where to next?"

"What lies before me; the fog of lies, and behind me; the shadows or ignorance. But who stands beside me; the truth."

Hasaii glared out at the forest edge, his wings getting tense. "Yeah... He's found something. Ready yourselves." He replied to Nova, before being joined by the others. Words were quickly exchanged, but Hasaii kept focused on the tree line. He'd sensed this form of energy before, but the wavelength was off. No, not off, but rather... Smelled different. Where had he felt something like this before? "Wait... Wait wait wait... I've felt this before..." He muttered to himself as he struggled to remember. Then it hit him. "Rrgh... It's her, the succubus is at our footsteps once again." He growled, his tone very low and dark, as if he were out for blood. "The spoiled corpses dare attempt to tread on this land? Not this time, oh no. They rot here and now." He said, completely ignoring Nova's idea to retreat.


Meanwhile, Kaj roared at the two strangers. "Do not play me for a fool, succubus and demon spawn! I'll have your throats before you can even think of attempting to cross the barrier!" He threatened, his wings stretched out and his mouth salivating. He was determined to eliminate the enemy this time, as he always had.

Alec was about to respond to Kerana's nostalgic comment when they were interrupted by the noise. He followed Kerana in and focused on what possible threats could they be facing now. The thought didn't last long before he was dragged through the shadows and brought before the whole group.

His constitution being as weak as it was, it didn't take long for his stomach to churn. He quickly turned and took a few steps away from the group before throwing up.

His face turned red from embarrassment and stress. He coughed once and turned his head toward the party. "Sorry." he croaked apologetically.

The child turned pale and fell slightly limp, as though it had lost a lot of it's energy. "But it's true, I'm not well." he muttered weakly.

A fly crawled from inside the child's mouth and buzzed toward the guardian, hovering around it. Then a few more made their escape from the child's white lips.

"I am...infested." the child whispered. It's head raised and the eyes that were once there were replaced with a creeping mass of flies. His mouth opened wide and unleashed the necromancers unholy swarm upon the guardian in a black cloud of deafening buzzing.

When the flies had escaped the child it once again fell limp in Shara's arms. The curse had taken a lot out of it's small body, but it was necessary to follow this scenario.  

[Nova Blancke]

"Hassaii, wait!" Nova said as he reached out to him but fell to his knees coughing before he could managed that.He was coughing blood again. It was his most violent session of coughing he had so far.

"Trinity....go. You two....stay here." He managed to say between coughing. Right now he was vulnerable."I'm too...weak..."

"NOVA!" he had coughed up blood before but this was the most violent she' seen of it. She rushed to his side. "Please hang in there..." she whispered. She wasn't sure if she could continue on this quest alone, there was so much she needed to learn.

She heard him asking her to go, she was hesitant about it. Leaving Nova with just Kerana and Alec? Would they be up for the challenge? Would she be up for the challenge that she and Hassaii would face? She took a deep breath she wanted to make sure his efforts weren't in vein.

She saw Kerana trying to heal him and felt comforted. Catching up with Hassaii through the shadows of the forest they made their way to the forests edge.

Nova chuckled painfully. He knew better than that.

"No, I won't. This will kill me. It's not the first time and won't be the last either." Nova said between ragged breathes." I just hope I will last long enough to see this through. There's not enough time to get back what I have. It's why I'm rushing to teach you kids. Because I am in the here and now for only a moment."

Nova sighed. His coughing had stopped but his throat would get sore without Kerana's healing. That however was all she could heal. He didn't have time for going easy at the moment.

"I know you are but I have little time left and won't waste any on lies or sympathies. I cannot be saved by you or anyone else. My death is set in stone. I have looked for cures and I am already prolonging what little time I have." His face was hard but he looked so weary and tired. He was but he wouldn't allow rest." Pack whatever you think you need. When they get back we move out."

As Trinity and Hasaii arrived at to Kajoko's aid they saw a swarm surrounding the guardian's face. Trinity didn't know what to expect but it certainly wasn't this. She looked to Hasaii, "Any ideas?"

Hidden from plane site Shara was hidding behind a boulder. She found that there was a secret tunnel that lead to Hasaii's home. "This seems promising. Shara, with the child in her arms started heading in the tunnel.

Nova sighed. His coughing had stopped but his throat would get sore without Kerana's healing. That however was all she could heal. He didn't have time for going easy at the moment.

"I know you are but I have little time left and won't waste any on lies or sympathies. I cannot be saved by you or anyone else. My death is set in stone. I have looked for cures and I am already prolonging what little time I have." His face was hard but he looked so weary and tired. He was but he wouldn't allow rest." Pack whatever you think you need. When they get back we move out."

Alec took a moment to do some introspection and spoke with his lupine counterpart.

"Is there anything we can do?"

"No. His current cycle is near it's end. The best thing you could do would be to provide him something to make it as painless as possible."

His eyes flashed as his attention was brought back to the physical plane. He cleared his throat nervously and muttered, "I might have something that could make the pain better. I mean, not make it better at what it's doing but...it would. I..."

He took a shuddering, deep breath in order to collect himself and suggested, "I think I have a mix that could kill the pain...at least a little bit."

The child groaned softly as it was jostled around in Shara's arms. It felt ridiculous, being carried around like a sack of flour.
