Still having an odd feeling Moroi, Kohana starred at him for a few more moments, trying to figure out what it was. Unable to do this, she shook her head, dismissing the thoughts and quickly looked away, trying not to be rude.

Then an awkwardness came over her. It was always like this when she first met someone. She could be very talkative, but shy before she really got to know someone. She gave a short sigh and looked to the sky. "It's pretty, huh?"

"Yeah, really is," The neko muttered, again being slowly hypnotised by the light blue sky. He blinked slowly and looked back up at Kohana curiously. "You're the second neko-jinn I've met at this school so far," He noted, not knowing how this would matter, but trying to strike up a conversation.

"Really?" Kohana smiled, her eyes stuck to the sky. "I've met a few, but not at this school." She nodded, her ears twitching slightly. "You know what really amazes me?" She said suddenly, looking at him,"It's the way it goes on forever. It has no end. The sky is endless!" She laughed softly, looking at the ground. Kohana was a person that said things without really thinking about them. Even if she didn't know where the idea was going, she would most likely still say it.

Moroi smiled back at her. Anyone speaking or acting with energy would be something he was used to, usually he was the one like that. But today, he was more calm. Much more calm. Though, sadly, the lack of energy didn't stop him from being a full and complete klutz.

"Yep," He agreed, "The sky has no end. It goes on forever!" He repeated, throwing his arms up in the air before closing his eyes for a moment and opening them again. Was he getting tired already? No, probably not. At least, not as far as he could tell.

Kohana laughed and gave a soft smile. She felt more comfortable, even though she had only talked to Moroi for a short amount of time. She idly flicked her tail from side to side and looked back at the fountain. She stretched her arms out infront of her and looked around. "So," she finally said,"have you been at this school for a while?"
PostPosted: Wed Apr 26, 2006 8:37 pm
"No, not really. Only a few days, really." Moroi watched his shoes, moving his feet to point his toes in, out, in, out... He opened his eyes, making him feel like he'd just fallen asleep for a while. "How long have you been here?"

((I have to go. Sees ya tomorrow.))

"The same," she answered," just a few days." She moved away from the fountain, walking in a circle in the grass. She took a deep breath before sitting. She stretched her limbs, then sprawled out. Her eyes flickered from cloud to cloud, then to Moroi, making sure he didn't think she was ignoring him. Kohana's ears twitched slightly as the feeling came back. She let it buzz in her mind again before making it go away.

((Alright. Bye!))

'Eh, that headache again.' Which the illusion that Moroi used taking up constant energy and focus, he would often end up with a headache before the day let out. 'It's probably fine to release the illusion around this school. There're enough different species around...'

Moroi sighed and released the illusion, instantly getting rid of the headache. He smiled lightly, pressing navy ears back against pale silver hair and looking back at the sky.

Kohana glanced at him, then took a double take as he let up on the illusion. She starred at him a few moments, not sure what to say. Then she jumped up and exclaimed, "I knew there was something about you I knew!"

She gave a sheepish grin, slightly embarrassed at her impulsive reaction. "Why would you hide them?" She asked, gazing at his ears in wonder.

Rem stood beneath the weeping boughs of a tree as the pale moonlight was carried on a cool night breeze. She'd just come from the Hospital where she'd laid Yusake down to rest and recover from his ordeal with Kujiro. The nurses had pleaded for her to stay as well, probably more for a mental evaluation than physical, but Rem and Scytheress alike hated those of a medical profession and left as soon as they'd been assured that Yusake would be taken care of properly. The Elf sighed and folded her hands over her lower back as she leaned on the chisled bark.

"Scythey... Yusake will be alright won't he?"

"I hope not. That filthy little bast-"

"Scytheress!"

The calm yet infuriated voice of the Fox laughed softly within Rem's head. Scytheress had no problem letting everyone know of her disdain for the Metran blood line but what was left to mystery was the reason why. Rem bit down on her lip as Scythe calmed. The Elf and Fox never quite saw eye to eye, aside from the fact that they shared the same pair of eyes, and thus unsettled each other greatly. Rem pushed off the tree in nervousness and began walking across the courtyard back toward the Hospital. Maybe threatening to see Yusake again would quiet the Fox down.

As if on que Scytheress went into an internal rampage, growling and hissing to no end to stop Rem's procession out of the courtyard. Rem had known that this small act would throw Scythe into a fit because the Fox knew she had no power while the Elven soul was in control of the body. As such, she wouldn't be able to exact her revenge on poor Yusake and would have to endure Rem's tender care of him. As silently promised Rem stopped walking and Scytheress hushed herself to a dull whine before complete silence.

"There, now can't we just have a peaceful evening under the stars?"

The question that was spoken was given an answer. The shadows seemed to answer with a voice that she would recognize.

"It seems not"

As the final sound left from the shadows, a man began to form infront of her spinning a revolver in his hand. His red hair fallen in front of his red eyes that were seemingly peering into the sky. The man's movements seemed to have a fluid motion as he walked out of the shadows still forming. Until at last the gleaming wings now on his back had the moons glow on them.

"It's been a long time hasn't it? Since the good old days."

His voice was dark. Yet he seemed to have a small hint of joy as he spoke. He now stopped spinning his revolver and looked at it as if it was a beautiful rose. He then in a quick motion threw his other Revolver in the air and aimed the one in h is hand at her.

"The old boss gave me a good price to bring you back..."

The secend revolver now fell close and he spun and caught it spinning in his other hand. He ended the spin and aimed both at her.

"An even better price as a final corpse."

Rem had just begun to relax then the strong voice fell upon her ears. Her only response was a quick gasp and a sudden tensing of her body as her sight groped about the darkness for the sound's source. Finally as the man began to take form his voice reached a point of recognition, a comrade of Scytheress's from days long, long past. The Elf stumbled back a few paces as both gun barrels were fixed upon her.

"W-What do you want? The bounty on Scytheress? That can't be possible! How did you find us?"

The girl continued to cower back as the soul inside her welled up with increasing force. Rem was determined though not to give into the Fox and stick this one out on her own, to prove to Scytheress and herself that she could take care of herself. Taking courage in her own hope Rem fixed her ground with her feet slightly apart but fully facing her opponent, almost completely opposite Scythe's stance. Scytheress muttered small slurs in her head to deter Rem's resolve in hopes of finding an opening to slip back into power but the Elf was going to be as stubborn as her ancestors.

"Well, you want a corpse? I'll see if I can oblige you with your own, Slade Eterna."

The Southern Courtyard was quite a ways from the Training Hall's gun range. Oni was pretty tired when she finally got there. Sitting on the nearest bench, she placed Tetsuo beside her and sat back. Raising her right hand to her face, she conjured cool air and directed it to her body in order to cool herself off.

"Wow, it's hot today... we should figure out a way to get better transportation to get around this place. It's huge..." Tetsu stood up on the bench. His large ears barely reached Oni's shoulder. "You know, you couldve flown over here if it was too far for you to walk..." Oni playfully blew wind over in Tetsuo's direction, sliding him to the other end of the bench. "Didn't feel like it. Besides, if I dont excersise at least once in a while, I'll be too heavy to even be supported by the wind without having to ride some sort of tornado. And I dont think it would be appreciated by the other students if I rode a tornado everywhere... and speaking of excersise..."

Oni stood up and moved about four feet away from the bench. She made sure she had enough space around her before she started. First she sat down and spread her legs as far as about 90degrees. Reaching towards her left leg, she realized that she had lost a little bit of flexibility. Touching her leg with her nose wasnt impossible, but she had difficulty doing so. After waiting about 30 seconds, she did the same with the right leg. Standing up, she reached down and placed her palms on the grass for another 30 seconds. She then stretched her hamstrings, quads, and arms. She was now ready to start.

"It's going to be different without you as a partner, Tetsuo. Can you tell me if I do anything wrong?" Tetsuo nodded and Oni began. She practiced different jabs and kicks, carefully developing new techniques and forms. Tetsuo watched her carefully and freely offered suggestions.

He spun a revolver back and seemed to get out of an attack stance all together. He walked forward a bit with a slight grin. He suddenly began to laugh. The laugh was dark and seemed to haunt the trees around as the birds flew out and away from the Echo.

"Well Rem, heh, you are quite a one with words."

He now clapped mockingly when as he did so he seemed to melt into the shadows slowly. His body turning to darkness when last she saw was his smirk. It seemed as he had left. The eerie silence falling on the courtyard. When behind Rem came the click of the revolver being loaded and Slade stood behind her holding his gun at her aimed to her center gravity point.

"I shall very much enjoy this old friend."

He took aim and jumped high in the air flipping upside down when he fired 1 shadow round from each revolver where he kept aim.

As the man disengaged his position Rem's focus went slack and she began to relax again, her passive nature didn't warrant the determination of a warrior and could quickly get herself killed. A slight smile twitched on the Elf's lips at Slade's first comment and the Fox within barked out a laugh. The applause though brought Rem's full attention to him, the sound not wholy welcomed by her ears but Scytheress continued to grin even as Rem's paranoia took over.

"He's disappearing...what to do what to do!?"

Rem suddenly froze, all movement ceasing including her breathing and the fluttering beat of her heart. All thought left the Elf as well leaving her to do nothing but panic as Scytheress began to claw at the inner walls of their collective mind. Feeling the push of air as Slade jumped up gave Rem the power to utter one plea.

"Scythe help me..."

"With pleasure!"

The resounding shot from the two guns set off a chain reaction of movement. Rising with the echo of the bullets was a rolling growl and a flurry of black feathers rising up around Rem's small form. The two rounds dissapeared into the haze of downy darkness and a shockwave of wind exploded outward when the shots should have made contact with flesh but there was no ensuing cry of pain. Instead the black mass, moving like a wisp of shadows, burst upward into the air much higher than Slade himself and spread into the angelic form the creature was known for. Two black wings beat steadily and the careless sadistic grin was bright on her face. Scytheress was very happy to be out again.

"Well Slade m' boy! You won't be the only one to enjoy this! I'll feast on your blood this night!!"

Beating harder with her right wing she spun herself sharply and her left set of claws tore through the air to send five arching blades of wind down in Slade's direction. In her turn, two grey spatters could be seen against her back where the bullets had impacted her wings and been turned to dust collections that now stained her jacket.
