Which type of art are you going for?
Visual? Performing?
I don't think you'd need knowleagde in Chemistry to do most of the jobs in those areas unless you're going to do something with manufactoring fabrics and textiles..

From what I've heard.. Most colleges will make you take a lab course or require that you make up for the class if you didn't take it in high school.
