It was hard for her not to laugh at Geoff. He was frantic, almost a madman trying to find each word and use it in an exact way to make it sound meaningful. Holding back a smile she listened to him. He was sincere, trying to be apologetic to her feelings. Ah but Alice, bring her up trigger all her humorous emotions to fly out the window. Now the conversation had become grave and heartbreaking. She could see the hurt in his eyes when he was comparing Serenus to his dear Alice. Then again Serenus related Geoff to her beloved Esyu daily. “Every time I see you I see her” lifted off of Geoff’s lips. This concerned her, was this going into something? Was he going to pronounce his undying love to her? Her hands started to feel sweaty. Oh god, how was she going to get herself out of this hole?
She gave a sketchy smile as he continued. Her hands were firmly attached to the chair now as she panicked in her mind. As Geoff continued to speak of Alice and Serenus being alike Vindicta was planning her escape route. Should I run for the door? Her thoughts rapidly raced through her mind. Making eye contact was the last thing she wanted to do but her eyes were magnets to Geoff’s.
“…isn't even what I really brought you in here for." Her body relaxed and she held in a sigh. The tension of her muscles started to ache now. She wanted to rub them but controlled herself. When Geoff finished his speech, they sat there in silence as Serenus contemplated about the boy. “Alu?” Silence again.
“He is registered in my class…” She stared out the window watching a bird fly by going to its home. Crossing her legs she placed her folded hands on her knee. She was deep in thought, thinking of the best approach for the boy. Leaning forward and then swinging herself up, she paced around the room. “I can start him on a basic lesson to awaken his aura. Cause it to come out.” She closed her eyes and made a humming noise. “It is best we take this slow. If we force it out of him it here is possibility that it could kill him in return.” With one graceful step she was in front of Geoff kneeling down staring at him. “Take me to the boy…I need to evaluate him.” Standing up she placed her hands on her hips making a demanding figure. But she smiled, greatly. “You know you remind me of shaelylaer Esyu as well. Might be why we fight. Old habits, tia thol.”

*OOC: I'm sorry if my post is premature to my character's acceptance of his profile, I'm just a bit eager to jump in here. rofl Any changes can be made if Ebil thinks I should*
Approaching the great building with a big smile on his face, Conor spotted two people on the steps, one female, missing an arm and eye, smoking a cigarette. The other was an older man with blond hair and glasses, also smoking. He must be a teacher and she a student. Must not be TOO strict if the teacher gives the student cigarettes., Conor laughed in his head as he thought. "Mighty fine even'n fer a smoke, eh?", he announced with a swig of his bottle of spiced rum. "Name's Conor, Conor MacKenna. I 'eard 'bout this place 'n figured I'd come'ta join ya!" He looked down at his bottle and stuck it out to offer. "Care fer'a drrink? I have plenteh more whe' that came from.", he said with a great big grin and patted the satchel slung over across his torso.

Everybody, with your fists raised high,
Carlisle looked up to the young man when he came about, offering a drink. He held up a hand although, smiling as he rose to his feet, "No, thank you." He said politely, then turned to Aiden, the strange girl with the eye patch. "And, we can't have the students taking my cigarettes, now. I'll get in a mighty fine cup of trouble," and before Aiden could say something, he reached out and plucked the just-lit cigarette from her lips, tossing it to the ground with his own and stomping a foot against it. He turned to the young man who had just approached, "If you're a student, you are late. You can make your way into the building now, sir." He gave a small bow, and motioned to the large double doors behind him for Conor.

Alu:
![User Image](https://public4.tektek.org/img/av/0905/d26/1653/43ea144.png) Alu glanced over to Sylvir then back to the headmaster. "I also appreciate that, headmaster, and am sorry for damaging the stairs." He bowed respectfully. "I too, must leave, I have not communed with Katwachaku for too long."
Alu once more bowed to Headmaster Le'Minz and followed after Sylvir. He stepped out onto the stairs and looked down to his right. There was a red stain there too, and chips of marble on the ground. Alu sighed and shook his head, moving down by the stairs to grab his staff and bag. Once in hand, he called out to Sylvir and caught up with the Isslekt.
"Thank you for trying to help me," Alu said. "It has been very long since I've had a good person as a friend." He placed a hand upon Sylvir's shoulder and looked up to the young man. "I would think that meditation for your people is different than it is for mine." He reached into his sack and pulled out a small pouch, seating himself upon the grass in the courtyard.
Alu smiled and opened the pouch, pulling out a fingerful of ground herbs. "Would you like to see the spirit world through the eyes of my people?" he asked. He placed the herbs on his tongue and swallowed. "These plants aid us in our commune with the Katwachaku, they allow the tribes to see the spirits more clearly and help us cleanse our own spirits and focus our minds."
Alu closed his eyes, legs crossed and hands rested palm down upon his knees. His eyelids flickered, and when he opened his eyes moments later the visions came. The world around his was visible, but fogged, as though a powerful wind burst forth from everything before him. Every building, every tree, even down to each individual blade of grass. They appeared hazy, almost like fluid, and soon the whispy tendrils of their spirits began to emerge. Without speaking, Alu began to commune.
Geoff:
![User Image](https://public4.tektek.org/img/av/0905/d30/1831/2cbd467.png) Geoff let out a hearty laugh when Serenus said he was like her husband. It wasn't so much the statement itself that was funny, but more the fact that she was actually with someone like him, especially considering how often they fight. "Suppose it makes sense," he said. "They do say that opposites tend to attract."
Geoff stepped to the door; his hand gripped the handle but did not turn. He faced her with a wry smile. "That must be why you wanted to slip that poison to me orally," he laughed. He could see the hint of irritation crossing her face, catching the hint. "Alright, alright, the kid. Last I saw he was out in the halls."
He opened the door and led her to where he left Alu, but the student had already left. "Aw crap...he didn't even put the buckets back." Geoff crossed his arms, head shaking, and grunted. Despite what some may have thought of him, he was actually a very clean person, apart from his clothing of course. A mess left unfinished irritated him to no end. He picked up the buckets and headed into the dining hall. "I'm gonna go take care of this real quick. Shouldn't be more than a minute."
Geoff headed into the kitchen and emptied the buckets into one of the empty sinks, running the faucet to keep the watered-down blood from coagulating in the aluminum bowl. He caught sight of Belfiar's familiar putting dishes away. "Well, well, if it isn't the diminutive chef himself," Geoff said, washing off his hands after taking the buckets from the sink. "Gotta say, you certainly cook a lot better than your master." He took the buckets and headed for the door. "You can tell him I said that too," he called out, pushing the door open and taking the buckets back to the supply closet down the hall.
"May as well see if we can find the kid," he said as he jogged back towards Serenus. "Hopefully he hasn't gone far."
Geoff pushed the door open and headed into the courtyard. Out of the corner of his eye he caught sight of the area in the stairs that Alu had damaged and his jaw dropped. There was an indentation in the side of the steps, shards of marble on the ground, and it was, of course, stained with Alu's blood.
"My god, look at this!" Geoff said, hopping over the railing. He placed his fist into the hole. "He must have dented it at least half an inch! This kid's got some serious muscle!"

Sylvir's mouth cracked into a smile as he heard Alu's words, "You are welcome, Alu. I am honored to call you friend, as well." He looked down at the herbs Alu had eaten and became curious, "I am afraid I will decline your offer today, Alu. I am in need of more focus right now with this being a new place and people, I do not know how the herbs will affect me." he paused his words as he knelt down on the cold walkway near the grass, sitting on both knees and resting his hands in his lap, "But I will try it another time, I am curious." Sylvir closed his eyes and began to take deep inhales of the freezing aura air around him. With every few seconds the chill of his aura grew increasingly colder, to the point where bits of frost began to gather over his body, armor and clothing. He then halted his deep breathing, almost to where it didn't appear as if he was breathing at all. There he sat, motionless, frost still gathering over him. In this stage his body appeared lifeless, but his mind was working overdrive. He confronted his old demons during meditation, in an effort to master his anger. He felt his rage was a valuable weapon, if he could learn to control it.

"Bwa-haha!" Conor's laughter was loud. "Ahh, I was done wi'that anehweh, lass." Conor said with a wink, pulling a small steel flask shaped like a skull from his side and taking a sip from it. As he swallowed he noticed Conri loking up at him. "Oh, my. Wher be meh manners? This heer is Conreh, mah familiah. As soon as Conor finished Conri let out a happy bark and wagged his tail. Turning to Carlise, "Well, naow. I di'neh catch'yeh name, ser. If yeh be a teecheh heer I should at leest know yeh name, eh?" Conor said.

Everybody, with your fists raised high,
Carlisle was busy giving Aiden a skeptical look as she swigged down the alcohol, but then heard Conor's statement. He glanced to him, when the young man asked him his name. He smiled politely, and bowed a bit, "Carlisle Beau D'Monde," He cited, rising to his full height once again, "And I am afraid that your alcohol will have to avoid being brought into the Academy...including you," he glanced to Aiden, with somewhat of an annoyed expression. She was a mess, and Carlisle could tell immediately.

Everybody, with your fists raised high,
"I trust you don't have any else tucked away in your bags," Carlisle said with a chuckle, "Unless of course you end up proving me wrong. Although, you seem like a trustworthy young man. . . I suppose," He turned, and held a hand out to motion to the doors, "make yourself at home. There are plenty of dorms for you to choose from, Sir Conor. I trust you have general knowledge of treating such a magnificent building well, no?"
