the near silent click was all it took to bring Rakata from sleep to full awareness. someone is trying to pick the lock! he realized. he knelt down on the floor, and reached under his bed. he pulled out a metal case. opening to it reveal an MP-5 sub machine gun. he took a clip from the case and slid it into the weapon, and pulled the charging handle. still kneeling on the floor he took aim at where he could guess would be his attackers chest. the lock turned. the door was kicked open, and in the hallway were Andre, Phil, and Jerome. all holing knives they likely stole from the kitchen. changing tactics Rakata switched the weapon to semi-auto, and put two rounds into Andre's left leg, dropping him.
Rakata stood up.
"you two get him down to the medical wing. and dont ever try to break into my room again. next time it wont be his leg." he said icily to Phil and Jerome, who picked up the semi-conscience Andre underneath his arms and carried him down the hall.
Rakata picked up the spent shells and put them into a bag inside his MP-5 case. he took out the magazine and ejected the lone bullet from the action. and stowed them back inside the case, and pushed it back underneath the bed.
too fully awake to sleep, picked up his SZR720 and hooked it up to his amp, and started playing a few songs he'd wrote the previous week.

Alex ears p***k up as he hears a gun being fired.
"Someone has a gun inside the school."

"Oh God! Not again! Rakata's bad about carrying weapons." Riena bolted out of her seat fists on the table for a moment and took off running without another word. Tripping and almost falling up the steps, she scrambled up to see two other class mates carrying another with a bloody leg down the hall. "Stop!" Riena said taring off the bottom of her dress and tying it tightly around the boy's wounded leg." She glanced up in anger. "Did neither of you think to even try and stop the bleeding before it began?!" Slowly sliding her hand over the makeshift bandages, the blood on his leg froze and stopped bleeding from that point.
She looked at them as they stood there stunned. "Don't just stand there. Take him to the infirmary. That ice wont last forever."

Rakata put his Ibanez back on its stand, and stood up, and stretched. he opened the door to his room, and locked it behind him. he walked down the halls toward the mess hall to get some food. he passed several students along the way, on of them he recognized from when he was in the courtyard playing his guitar. he walked into the mess hall and went to the far side of the room and got a couple slices of pizza. Normally he would have stayed in his room and eaten an MRE but he felt like having something other than military field rations tonight. he took it back to his room and found his room open, with the boy he saw from the courtyard was looking at his guitars.
"what are you doing in here?" Rakata asked, preparing to draw his knife.

Hearing the argument and slowly going though the open door Riena saw Rakata drawing his knife at the new student. Without making a sound she placed both hands on his shoulders freezing them stuff working down to his hands.
Her eyes had turned a shocking white blue. Her hair falling out and dress ripped and covered in blood she slapped his face. "Don't you think you've hurt enough people for one day?!"
Pulling the new boy out of the room and checking that he hadn't taken anything she pushed him away glaring angrily.

Appears in the room."Shouldn't we get rid of the weapons?"

Trying hard to contain her anger and not freeze the boy to death Riena looked at Alex. "No. Go get the administration. They need to know about this. He wont be going anywhere if I have my way." She glaired angerly at Rakata.
"Go."

"get out of my room...all of you. do you think i enjoy shooting people? i dont, they made the first move, i reacted. i dont ever shoot out of aggression, I shoot to defend myself. just...just go leave me alone." Rakata said. as memories of the day his family was killed in front of him came back. he looked over at the picture on his dresser. in the frame there were 5 men, himself, his 3 brothers and his father, all smiling, as if nothing could ever happen to them. it was taken the day before they were killed.

Riena glared at him. "Do you realise who's blood I am covered in? I can assure you, it's not mine. Either trash the weapons and stay out of trouble, or we turn you in. We have powers, and we use it. That's why we're here.
If that boy had died because those idiots didn't get him help in time, how would you feel? Justified? I doubt it."
She looked at Alex who still hadn't moved not knowing what else to say behind her and mouthed the words 'help me out here'.

"i know what im doing. those wounds wouldnt have been lethal. ive had run ins with those 3 since i came here, after my family...died." he said choking back tears of pain at the memories. if i handt had my weapons, id be dead now. im good at hand to hand combat, but 3 on 1 when the 3 are armed, isnt great odd for anyone." Rakata said. " as for you having powers, i have them too. mine are a little more undefined, but i have the ability to control the heat element, and all of its mediums." he told the girl. his eyes starting to glint with the inner fire that always seemed come whenever he was angry.

WHOA!!"someone runs past Samantha" Hey wheres the Fire..??!! I dont Know Barely the First day and I heard a Gunshot ?? Cant believe I got such a lecture from Administration..Looks like they are having Bigger problems than my Pranks ..Besides dad Will Kill Me if I screw up Here ..Remember Best Behavior ..Yeah Right! Jeesh seems like there is a commotion going on in that room ....Keep walking Samantha Dont but your nose in you will probaly get blamed for something you didnt do ..Now lets see That woman said Turn Right Down this Hall ...Hmmm Wonder Who My Roomie is Gonna Be.. Hope they are Quite....

Sun walks by Rakata's room and sees Riena and Alex. The other boy seems to have flames in his eyes. She sticks her head in and asks, "Hey guys what are yall doing?" Her shyness seemed to go away in the face of trouble.

Glancing at Sun with bright blue eyes glowing Riena let go of the boy eyes going back to normal. "Thaw yourself out, there's no use trying to burn me. I don't burn."
Slowly sliding the case of weapons from out under the bed she looked at Alex.
 

[The Night Faery]

TJ appeared behind Riena, having heard the shots. She never really worried about diving headfirst into trouble; after all, she could regenerate. Peeking over Riena's shoulder into the kid's room and observing all the weaponry, she said quietly, "This is the guy you went to class with? What a charming gentleman...."

She paused, and then shivered. "Christ, your skin is cold!" she said, taking a step to the side, putting her up against the door frame. "...Your eyes.... You control ice? And this kid--" she indicated Rakata with a jerk of her chin-- "looks like he's about to burst into flames. This is gonna take some getting used to."

As Riena's temperature slowly returned to something near normal, TJ allowed her gaze to rove over the students gathered in and at the door of the antisocial boy's room. Bending down to help with the big cases, she got herself between Rakata and the girl, staring the boy down. "You want to hurt someone really bad," she said bluntly to him. "I can see it in your face."

However it's difficult to gain her own trust. Sakuri can also be a bit random at times, even more so when her brother is around. Then again, her brother can be odd as well.
