Alec's ears tip curiously. "What happened three years ago?"

And there it was, the question that had the whiskey for the story she hoped to tell without completely falling apart at the memories. She took a deep breath and collected her thoughts.

"It all started when I had rescued Lord Saturn's son from a war lord. He was so worried that his son may not return. When he did see his son he was willing to reward me by granting any request. So, I made the simple request of visiting my little village and that was granted. Before I road off Mistress Saturn gave me this." She showed them the choker she wears around her neck it was Lord Saturn's symbol and a trinity knot wrapped around it.

She paused a moment then continued, "When I got there. Everyone... in town... was dead... all that welcomed me was the smell of death. My parents were crucified and shared their last words with me. Lastly my trainer was hung in the edge of the forest." she looked down a moment.

"At the sight of this I quickly realize, whoever did this...was after me... Quickly I rushed back to the kingdom I once served. Hoping I was not too late. Only to find out, I was... I found Lord Saturn crucified and dead." she bit her lip for a moment. It seemed that Lord Saturn's death had a greater impact on her than that of her parents. She held her forehead with closed eyes then continued, "I screamed... then... he appeared...the necromancer... he made his presence known...with laughter. I heard him... I knew what he was going to do next...I was ready to give up, I had nothing more to live for. Then I realized that I did not want them to die for nothing, I rose up against him. My hand was glowing with holy magic... which came unexpected. I was never trained in magic, yet there it was...he had a metal gauntlet with blades for finger tips, probably what was used to kill his victims. His arm was sizzling, stinging. I tried to look into his eyes but all I saw was a mask with some markings. Instead I took a good look at his metal gauntlet not many blacksmiths could craft such a monstrosity and memorized the mark.."

She looked up for a moment her eyes looking glazed, "Then he used his dark power and decapitated Lord Saturn's head. I watched as the head dropped the ground. I fell too. Then all was black. It was luck that paladins found me and taught me some things...
That... was pretty much it..." she whipped her glazed eyes and tried to focus on something else. She formed a little ball of holy light. "This ... this is why he's after me...this... is why he committed a desperate, cowardice act." At least she didn't completely fall apart this time when she told her story.

Alec sinks down into the bed, now feeling a sense of dread. He swallows hard and looks over at Kerana to see what her reaction is to the story.

Alec shakes his head. "It's a nice thought Kerana, but I don't think I could go around the town slapping everybody."

She made the holy orb disappear and said, "Heh, unless you start a full blown fist fight. Yet I fought quite a few people and they didn't seem to snap out of it. At least I didn't stick around to find out..." She folds her arms and strokes her chin. "However that really is not the best idea... I don't wish to fight unless I have to..."

Shyly, Alec clears his throat and suggests, "Well, maybe now since we know it's the wanted posters doing it, what if we just destroyed them. In theory, destroying a cursed object would dis-spell the curse itself right?"

Alec shakes his head, "That would be difficult to organize. Oh man, this is harder than I thought it'd be. It doesn't look like there is any way to get the heat off of you without you being..."

He pauses for a moment, the wheels in his head turning. "What if we faked her death?"

Alec looks over at Trinity and says, "I'm game for staging a werewolf attack if it means we wont be getting attacked at every town. Any ideas on leaving a corpse behind?"

Kerana

Kerana tilted her head in uncertainty, her ears were uneven and her eyebrow was quirked. "I dunno Alec, I don't think people would question a corpse if they saw you 'eating' her. It would be like tracking where some one's steak went. It pretty much all goes to the same spot."

"True, but then again I can't remember the last time I saw a werewolf eat someones hair. Purple hair isn't exactly a common trait."

Trinity stood up she appreciated the enthusiasm of trying to get the heat off of her but one thing concerned her. "It sounds like a good plan but... Although the people here would fall for it, I'm afraid he wouldn't. I'm willing to bet that he managed to find a way to spy on me. Last time we met he left assuming I was dead or almost dead. I doubt he'd fall for that again. He may bring his wrath upon the town and try to lure me out. People's lives will be at risk.

I don't want to put them in danger for the sake of getting the heat off."
She folded her arms and waited for their response. The whole matter may seem farfetched to them or perhaps Trinity was a bit paranoid.

Alec thought for a moment. What Trinity said makes sense, but there is something not quite right with it. "You said he showed himself to you three years ago right? Has he ever made an attempt to make himself known again? I mean, in the sense that he come forward again. Or has he just been messing with you via the thieves and stuff?"

Trinity thought about it for a moment. Granted, although he never directly made contact with her, there were other ways he had been directly causing her trouble. "I have not seen him since three years ago and all kinds of people had been after me. However, the wanted posters he's been putting up are blaming me for killing and destroying 7 of the 10 kingdoms. Leaving me to believe that yet again he is really behind it and I'm just a scapegoat.

There's a pretty good chance that he won't do anything directly. Perhaps he will find some way to have yet another incident that I could be blamed for.
I'm tired of being the blame for everything and anything..."
