More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Trinity looked to Gidget as she responded. "Well my troops are in position and know what to do in the event of an attack. I could go after him or at least spy on them. Especially if we know what area he's in. Perhapsin hotels or motels near by, they will need to spend the night somewhere. He will have to feed at some point..."

Then a thought occured to her,"What if he plan to experiment on one of the girls with him. Would it be possible if one of them reminded him of you he'd think of her as a good candidate?"

Gidget shakes her head. "They are too young. As the years went by Shane experimented on older women to keep up with how much time had passed."

"Heh..guess we are even then." Theonis said with a bit of a grin as he dropped down the the floor. Yep his boredom went away after meeting this foxy girl.

"I'm actually kinda lost. I came here with Angel...er..Tansy but we kinda got into a fight and now I am lost....but it's not like I have anything better to do then walking around."

"So what's your name?"

Trinity just told me before I went to see you. It's about North...you see he's.." Liv paused to try and find the right words." The person you saw was not North. He pretended to be North....Amanda..North is dead and there is no other way to say that to lessen the blow. I'm sorry."

It didn't take long to get her sister's into their beds for the night with Annie's help. Afterwards, she crawled into her own bed and snuggled into for the night. It was then, that something she had always wondering crossed through her mind once more. And this time, she just might be able to get an answer. "Shane?" She question softly, looking at him with curious gray eyes.

Shane looks back at her, directly into her eyes to show that she has his undivided attention. "Yeah?"

"If the meteor, or... something about it is what gives us these powers... what would happen if someone had a prolonged exposure to it?" She paused for a moment as she glanced down, then back up at him. "Would it hurt them, or would they be okay?"

Shane thought about the question for a moment. He had the substance directly fed into him during a procedure, and you can't get more invasive than that. However, prolonged exposure to a fragment of the meteor that hadn't been sanitized.

"How long is prolonged?"

Annie turned in her bed at Shane's and Lia's questioning and raised a brow, where was Lia going with her questions?  

[Tatsoi]

"Uuuuhhhhh." She seemed to paused as she thought about it. "I don't know... a few months...." She paused again as she reached down and grabbed out the small glass vial in which she had kept the shard she had taken home with her. "I keep it in my pocket. It's kind of like a good luck charm."

Shane moves closer to Lia and kneels down to get a better look at the shard in the vial. He smirks and chuckles. "You're quite the sentimentalist aren't you? You don't have anything to worry about Lia. The shard is small enough that the amount of radiation it is putting out is almost non-existent. You'd have to put that little piece somewhere inside of you to do anything permanent."

"To answer your first question: it has been hypothesized that prolonged contact with a meteor fragment or exposure to the heart of the meteor itself has three effects in this order. First, the powers will begin a gradual increase in potency. Second, the radiation with reach the brain and start causing a steadily increasing and irreversible psychosis. Third, the individual will die."

"That is all merely speculation though. As far as I know no one has ever been in contact with the meteor for more than a few moments at the initial contact. Did that answer your question?"

Gidget shakes her head. "They are too young. As the years went by Shane experimented on older women to keep up with how much time had passed."

Trinity fold her arms across her chest and nodded her head in confirmation. She sighed for a moment, "All this waiting... I can't stand it... we've done all that we can to prepare for the Daedalus attack and we can't do anything about Shane at the moment." She let out a shorter disgruntled sigh, looking a way with a look that said 'I hate being useless'. I've got all this energy, just so anxious to use it but don't want to waist it...

Gidget thinks for a moment about what Trinity said. She also hates the idea of letting Shane slide for now, but at least Annie is with him. As for Daedalus, if they were going to attack they would have done so by now.

She looks over to Trinity and suggests, "I think we can stand down for now Trin. If they were going to attack they would have done it already. If you want to keep a few of your guys on watch to be safe go for it."

She looks over at Justine and notices that she seems to be twitching around her new eyes. She addresses her friends as a whole. "You guys have been awake for, what I can only assume, the last 24 hours. I think you all should grab some Z's, and we can start fresh in the morning. We have much catching up to do, and issues that need to be addressed. I have made housing arrangements for the night."

Gidget approaches Justine and inquires, "How're you holding up? Did something happen?"

Justine looked towards Gigdet, mentally reminding herself to keep her eyes shut. "I'm alright, they just burn... And twitch..." She frowned somewhat as she sighed. "At least my headache is gone." She smiled somewhat, not wanting anyone to worry. "How are you holding up in there?" Her voice was soft when she asked, unsure if it was really the right time to ask.
