Deora was a bit shocked when Gidget guessed they had been awake for so long. She hadn't been able to tell, she didn't recall seeing any real sunlight since arriving, and she hadn't been paying attention to any clocks. She didn't feel tired, but that was likely from all the food she'd gotten after going so long without it. She went from starving to three full meals in one day. Add to all that the fact that she had been pretty excited about meeting new friends, getting a new home, and then the adrenaline rush of the alarms in the mall, and it was suddenly obvious how much time had passed, and why she hadn't noticed. Thinking about it now, though, brought on a yawn that she brought up hand to suppress.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While Ako was still and silent, gears in his head were turning. Thinking about everything and nothing. Sometimes revelations take years, sometimes they just happen. It was now, after thirteen years when he should have realized it, a thought finally occurred to him. It was that same accusing mental voice that told him; Why are you suffering? What have you lost the you yourself haven't taken from yourself? The meteor killed one of the girls you love, and it caused the death of the other. It took the blind woman's eyes, and violet-haired girl surely didn't learn how to survive like that while being cared for by her parents. So what did the meteor take from you? Nothing. You can still see, you're more alive than you ever were, and your parent's never disowned you. It only gave you gifts, and what have you done with them? Ran from your friends and anyone you ever knew. Ran from the people who cared about you.
You are not the victim here, not the one who has suffered stop acting like it. Open your eyes, look up at the world around you. Look behind you, the woman you love needs someone.
Ako opened his eyes and lifted his head, realizing that Tansy had moved away from him. He turned to look at her, seeing that she had moved her arms and wings to embrace herself as she answered Trinity's questions. He contemplated what he was about to do for a moment, then wondered why. Not why he was about to do this, but why he was thinking about it. Was he wondering if now was the best time? Was he wondering if it was the right thing to do? He finally stopped thinking and stood up, stepped around his chair, and came up beside Tansy. Now is when he hesitated, not knowing exactly what to do next. "Tansy..." Her name slipped out, but he wasn't sure what he would do if she turned to answer.
Tansy turned and looked up at Ako. She blinked at him a few times. "Yes?" Her voice was a soft question as she tilted her head to the side. Her eyes showing hints of confusion.
"Kerana huh? Nice to meet you" Theonis replied and shook her hand. Oh how soft hands
"Theonis Richards" He said with a smile. Now he wasn't too sure on what to say or do next. "So...a fox huh?"
*************
"Alright Amanda." Liv softly said as she got up and left the room to grab the laptop. Shortly after she returned."It might not be on there yet because of all the...chaos" Liv handed Amanda her laptop
"Yep that's what the meteor did for me. Along with sharpening my senses." she shrugged, fold her hands behind her, looked down and scuffed her foot a little. She looks back at Theonis, "So... the meteor made you fly?"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amanda nodded and got online using the wireless card in her laptop. The first two things on there were the deaths and times of death. The first one was Alec since he was the latest death that they were aware of. On top of that was information about what to do in case of an attack from the Daedalus Project.
She scrolled down a little, she gasped at the next thing she saw, it was North, it was the same picture she'd kept with her. crying Her eyes welled up with more tears, she covered her mouth both hands. As a few tears fell out of her eyes she was able to focus enough to read about his death. She saw the time of North's death which was much earlier than when she last saw him. She found that there was no body, that Trinity tried to save him but found out too late that she failed. Amanda closed the laptop and put it aside, she looked distraught, distant. Now that North was gone her ultimate goal was taken from her. She wasn't even close to confessing how she felt... not even when she tried yesterday.
"Nah, I can use it to fly though." He replied and he began to hover."I can manipulate pressure. So long story short, I can do pretty anything that involves pressure like canceling out the force of gravity with it. Like I am doing now."
"Hmm maybe I can.." Theonis muttered to himself."Hey you wanna try it too?"
*********
Liv remained silent.She had a few ideas on how she could ease her pain but she wasn't sure on if she should do it. Liv closed Amanda's laptop and put it away. Before Amanda could react she hugged her. Pushing her down on the bed she laid next to her still holding her. She placed her hand on top of Amanda's head while she hugged her tightly. "It's okay...just..let it all out. I'm here for you"
Kerana's tail wagged with excitement, her eyes widen eek then let out an enthusiastic "YAH!". Her ears twitched a moment when she thought of Deora. "Um... just one thing though... we can't go to far from here, my friend is part of this meeting and I've been waiting outside for her."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She felt the full force of Amanda's hug, it felt comforting. "North... oh North...WHYYYYYY!?!!??!" more tears fell. Time passed and she let it all out, so much so that she felt very tired from it all.
Gidget thinks for a moment about what Trinity said. She also hates the idea of letting Shane slide for now, but at least Annie is with him. As for Daedalus, if they were going to attack they would have done so by now.
She looks over to Trinity and suggests, "I think we can stand down for now Trin. If they were going to attack they would have done it already. If you want to keep a few of your guys on watch to be safe go for it."
Trinity nodded, "You got it Gidget. See you guys later..." Then just for the sake of it and perhaps to tone down the creepy vibe she may be sending she dropped through her shadow and emerged from behind the captain's shadow. The mist and her glowing eyes disappeared.
She started directing her men so that it was down to two at each station. Then she directed her troops that were dismissed, to call in their alternates so that they know what's going on.
Once that was done she sends a text to Gidget, [Gidget, I'm heading back home for the night. I've done all I could do, might as well try some shut eye. Good luck on Justine's eyes!] She knew Gidget didn't really need luck due to her power. Whenever Gidget worked on something it was guaranteed to be good.
When Tansy answered, Ako blanked. He knew it would happen, but didn't plan for it. It wasn't that he'd forgotten what to say, in fact he had never come up with anything to say. He'd only ever planned to do one single action, but it felt awkward to do it with others around, or at this time. He still felt like it needed to be done, though. He found words coming out of his mouth while he was trying to figure out exactly what he was doing. "I don't know why, but I never realized what you've gone through, even before we separated. I'm sorry I left, that was stupid. I should have stayed here, with you. Can you forgive me?" He would have hugged her, he realized that was what he'd wanted to do, but her wings were in the way. They formed a feather barrier around her, not letting him get close enough to wrap his arms around her without fear of ruffling the feathers.
Gidget does a quick scan over Justine's implants to get an idea of what may have happened. She goes a little deeper and switches her spectrum to X-ray. She makes a clicking sound with her tongue and says, "It looks like when you opened your eyes for that split second the muscles around the new eyes spazzed out. It doesn't look like anything permanent has been done, but I wont know for sure until later this morning when it is time to activate them. For now I would suggest getting some pain killers and a good nights rest."
She blinked at him again, her wings pulling back and resting against her back as they normally did. She smiled at him and cradled his face in her hands. "You have nothing to be sorry for. There wasn't anything anyone could have changed..." She smiled and nodded at him. He must have been tried. "Right now, we need to be there for Gigdet. This is really hard on her." She paused as she glanced over to Gigdet and the blind woman. "Have long has it been since you slept?" She asked softly.
Justin nodded somewhat as listened to Gigdet. "Right, actually, that sounds like a good idea." She sighed softly as she let the tension out of her shoulders. "Do you have any place really, really quite?" Her voice was hopeful that Gigdet would have some kind of sound proof room.
"You're right." Ako said, The next time he got a chance, he knew he needed to apologize to Gidget as well. Not only had the meteor taken her life in a way, it had taken her brother, as well. He followed Tansy's glance towards Gidget and watched as she spoke with the blind woman. "I'm not sure." He said in answer to her question. "I know I haven't slept since I got here, and I didn't sleep much, if at all, for about a day or so before that." He smirked at himself and at how hard it was for him to think. "Things have been a bit fuzzy these past few years. I don't think I've even slept in a proper bed for months."
She smiled somewhat. "I thought so." She laughed softly. "Talking about beds, I think we need to find one for Ako and myself..." She paused for few second before her face turned red. "I mean... Different beds.. not that we would sleep in the same one.. I mean.. Wow.. I need to sleep. Okay.. " She covered her face in her hands as she laughed at herself.
Ako couldn't help but laugh as well. It felt good; such a simple slip of a tired tongue brought on something he hadn't done in earnest for a long time. A good, light-hearted laugh that did wonders for the mind.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Deora looked over to Ako and Tansy as they started laughing, the infectious sound even tugging at the sides of her own mouth, even though she hadn't heard the joke. She realized that she had almost fallen asleep, and decided that she had waited long enough. She stood up out of her chair before she fell asleep in it, and said, "Ms. Gidget, If you don't need to talk to me about anything else, I think I'm gonna head back to my room before I pass out."

Tansy smiled behind her hands, red faced at all. It was te first time since she had awoken to being handcuffed to a hospital bed 13 years ago that she felt completely like herself. Ever since they had clipped her flight feathers like she was some child's pet which needed to be caged and reduced to being forced to repeat 'Polly want a cracker' over and over again. It had taken her months to recover. Well, to partly recover, anyways. That was the reason for her first steps into madness. Being grounded. On that night when Ako gave her the courage and strength to fly, he had given her second life new meaning. She moved her hands to her sides as she though about that night. It was that same night that that man came to their hotel room and invites them to dinner. She shook her head. Maybe that was her first step into madness. She shook her head to clear her thoughts. Thinking about the bad times wasn't what she needed.
