Uh...from what I gathered, Reese's school is small, so small=poor.

They want to consolidate the school districts in Maine, from 200-something down to 80. This includes consolidating the schools themselves, so my itty-bitty school would close, and we would all go to a huge school in another town. They're saying that if any schools refuse to do so, they won't suspend payment completely ('cause that would be ILLEGAL), but those schools won't get as much funding as the schools that cooperate.

It's extortion. stare They're basically saying, "Obey us, or we won't give you what you need."


We're not that poor, actually. In fact, recently, someone left us $1,000,000 for a scholarship fund, which we have in a bank. We take the intrest off of it and give it out in numerous scholarships, but only if you are a resident of the town and have always (or at least mostly) been a resident of the town. My sister got $3300 off of it, and so did about ten others.

My school district is whack too. We dont have enough money going around. Basically if you don't work your tail off in some activity or honors AP courses.. you wont get anything..

We don't have any advanced classes or anything like that. You just do the same work as everyone else, no matter how smart you are.

Unless you're in Special Ed. We do have that.

Our school is apparently filthy stinkin' rich. 'Cause most Catholic schools are.

It's 'cause they make you pay about 15k a year...or a month...or something.

There are so many smart people, though. A girl just can't get ahead. Even Voxxx, who is a genius, isn't in the top ten. Because there are too many genii. I feel stupid with them around emo

We have top depending on the class. Like the Top 9 of '09 then it will just be the top ten for the rest.

If all goes well I plan to be apart of it.. Though it is not bases on GPA.. It is overall active in school. So with all my sports.. AP classes and clubs I should be set!
