More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Annie's eyes fluttered open as sunlight streamed into the hotel room from an outside window. She groaned, turning over and rubbing her eyes. How early was it? Getting up, she walked to Shane's bed and said in a low voice into his ear, "Shane, it's morning: time to get up. We should get moving..."

"It's okay, I was more startled than scared. And muffins sound very good." Deora said. She normally didn't like people doing stuff for her if it seemed like work, but she could guess by the girl's wagging tail that she would enjoy it.

She was a little embarrassed when Kerana noticed that she'd showered. "Yeah, I woke up and realized I haven't had a decent warm shower in a little while. i kinda want to wash my sheets now. My clothes probably need a good cleaning as well. Does this place have a laundromat, or do we have our own laundry room?"

Gidget's eyes go blank for a moment as she looks over the security logs from overnight. She smiles when she sees that nothing of any significance happened after she plugged herself. She looks over at Trinity and says, "The logs say that nothing happened, but a quick check-up never hurts. Lead the way Sporty Spice."

Shane turns his head toward Annie, a smile on his face. "I could get used to waking up like this. A beautiful woman cooing in my ear, reminding me that it's time to face the day."

She was laying in bed, and everything was pitch black. She felt a soft something over her eyes. When she reached up to move it, someone grabbed her arm.

"That not a good idea Justice." The voice belonged to her partner. She didn't need to see him to know that.

"What happened?" Her own voice was soft and weak, something she hadn't expected.

"You just got out of surgery."
"Surgery?" She questioned.
"Yeah... Look, the doctors... They did what they could, but... Just, they took your eyes."
"What do you mean?" Her voice was panicked, the soft rythmaict beep of the heart monitor began to speed up.
"A shard of the meteor broke off into you eyes. If they didn't take them out, you would have become one of those freaks. We had no choice..."
"I'm..." She couldn't say it. The word was forieng. Unknown to the woman.
"Yeah... You're blind Justice. You're blind."
Those two words spun in her head over and over again.


Justine shoot upright. The room still pitch black, her eyes still shut tight. This wasn't her apartment. Blind. After today, that word would no longer apply to her. Not that it ever really did. She had seen better after they had taken her eyes. But now... A smile crossed her lips. She sighed softly as she stood and made her way around the room, memorizing it as she moved around.

Gidget's eyes go blank for a moment as she looks over the security logs from overnight. She smiles when she sees that nothing of any significance happened after she plugged herself. She looks over at Trinity and says, "The logs say that nothing happened, but a quick check-up never hurts. Lead the way Sporty Spice."

Trinity smirked at the 'Spice Girl reference. She was cautiously glad to hear that there was nothing in the logs about any break-ins or security breaches. Usually they have been very accurate, very few metas have been able to bypass it.

She responded to Gidget's comment of getting a check up, "I'm pretty sure I'm fine, but if you insist I stop and get checked up at the medical facility after the run. I only didn't earlier but I had no memory of what just happened at the time."

She checked her laces. "Alrighty Ginger Spice, let's hit the tracks." She opened the door and started the run. She didn't notice but her pace was faster than she was before her training in the shadow realm.

Up ahead there was a dome with a meta sleeping on a couch in mid air. Trinity did not remember meeting this meta, and she wondered if this was his doing or something else. She stopped and asked, "Gidget, do you know him?" If this meta wasn't captured by Daedalus Project and has not been registered here, there could be a chance he was not in the database at all.

Gidget looks at the strange floating man and looks back over her recorded memory. There he is, she thinks to herself. She says to Trinity, "He helped bring Tansy back here. Just a sec."

She goes over to Theonis and gently taps his foot. "Hey, you're Tansy's friend right? Y'know, I can see that you are literally sleeping on air, but if you wanted a bed all you had to do was ask."

The dome didn't seem to effect Gidget as she tapped his foot. Trinity gave it a try and the pressure flung her arm out. "Well that's interesting.."

Annie rolled her brown eyes at what Shane said and replied her voice sharper than she intended, "If you have forgotten, Valhalla should be on our tails soon. You can only stall Trinity and her squad so long with the threat of a Daedalus attack."

"And," Annie added walking to the mirror, pulling her hair into a pony tail before letting her hair down again, apparently dissatisfied with how she looked with her hair up, "I want to get to Daedalus HQ sooner than latter."

Shane huffed and shuffled out of bed. "You wont have to worry about them any time soon. If the machine is anything like my sister, then it'll think that you're acting as a double agent of sorts. Either to keep me in line until you can incapacitate me, or to manipulate me into attacking Daedalus."

"Hell, it may want us to waltz up to Daedalus HQ. Then they'll know where it is."

He stretches and watches Annie fuss with her hair, "If it helps, I think you look better with it down."

"I am manipulating you into attacking Daedalus," Annie replied with a faint smile. She was going to be completely honest, or at least mostly honest about her reasons and motivations. It was the least she could do, Annie figured. "Remember I have something I want from Daedalus HQ and I want my revenge."

Thump.
Crash.
"OOWWW!"
Muffled voices could be heard through the wall between the two rooms.
"I didn't do anything!"
"Don't you dare lie to me Lia!"
"I didn't do anything!! Let gooooooo!"
"Stop fighting!"
"NO! OOOOOW! That hurts!"
"Hold.. still! Kali, a little help..."

With a bit of a sudden snore Theonis woke up. The barrier instantly disappeared and the couch fell down with a loud bang. Seeing as the couch was heavier than Theonis it landed first with Theonis smacking into it and bouncing off of it and crashed with the floor. Clearly in pain Theonis muttered out a few half-asleep words.

"Ahh..ouch...God...what did I ever do to you?" He mutter as he slowly got up and rubbed his head. He noticed Gidget and Trinity."What...just happened?" He said squinting his eyes as they adjusted to the light.

"Well.... comfort food is the best food there is! Though we didn't watch a girly movie together, we still get to binge." Liv said as she put down the plates on the bed, sat down on it and crossed her legs."So....how are you feeling Aman?"

"OOWWW!"
Muffled voices could be heard through the wall between the two rooms.
"I didn't do anything!"

"Hold.. still! Kali, a little help..."

Shane sighs and looks over at Annie, "It's funny...you wouldn't think they're as old as their ID's probably say they are."

He walks out of his room and over to the door going into the sister's. He gives it a shove with the palm of his hand. The hinges break off and it falls back into the room.

Nonchalantly and with his hands in his pockets he surveys the scene.
