The bag was heavy but it took little effort for Trinity to strap the back on her shoulder. She made sure the bag was secured. "Shoulder is fine, just bare in mind I'll have to hold you close, nothing personal, just need to be sure you don't get lost in the darkness." She quickly sends a text to Gidget, read
[Going home w/ Deora]
"Okay ready? Here we go..." while Deora holds on to her shoulders tightly, Trinity wraps her arm around her upper back and kept her tightly close to her. "For some it may be best to close your eyes." with that last comment she and Deora fell through her shadow. There was nothing but darkness surrounding them, there were were a few doors of light toward the surface where lit areas are where shadows should be. One may wonder how could one navigate through this? As they moved it was like they were floating through space, kind of like astronauts with the way things like hair were floating, except with lest motion and faster. Yet sure enough Trinity knew the way and they stepped out of a dark corner in the Residence Office. With a turn and a nudge through the opening out came Deora with Trinity following behind her. "I have a new customer for you." She places the bag behind Deora, it was well intact.

Deora squeezed Trinity's shoulder a little tighter and closed her eyes out of reflex as they fell through their shadow. When she opened them they were moving weightlessly through an unbelievable space. Deora wanted to say something, but nothing came out as her jaw hung open. It was like a dream, floating serenely through nothing. No noise, only points of light to let you know you weren't completely lost. Just when she was thinking she could stay there forever, she found herself standing in light. She looked behind her, expecting to see the darkness, but saw only Trinity. She saw her say something but it felt like it took her senses a second to catch up to her. "What..."What was that place?" She asked.

Angel paused for a moment when she heard a name called. She smiled brightly as she turned to the young woman. "I'm afraid you have me mistaken-" She paused as she looked at the girl. Tilting her head, she blinked several times before she smiled again. "I don't think I've seen you around here before. Have we met?" Her wings fluttered almost as she readjusted them, stretching then relaxing, her white gown flowing in a soft passing breeze.

Gidget's eyes lose their joy as she realizes that Tansy's condition has gotten much worse. She approaches closer, and maintains her smile as much as she can. She hopes that even though she used a computer simulation of what she'd look like as an adult, that Tansy will still be able to recognize some part of who she was.

"It's me Tansy. It's Gidget. You know..." There is a soft click, then comes the voice of a body long dead, "Y'know, the bubbly little gearhead."

Angel paused. She listened to the woman, and felt confused by her. But then something about the girl changed when she heard the soft clicking sound. The voice made something inside the woman to click. The light in her eyes changed.

Tansy blinked rapidly and and looked around. Confusion filled her face as she looked around. After a moment, her eyes turned to Gidget. "What's happening?" She asked softly, her voice strained, as if she had been yelling for hours. "Where am I?"

Seeing Tansy like this would have brought tears to Gidget's eyes. For once she is glad that she is unable to cry. Every year it has gotten worse. The one person she knows that could possibly fix the problem has other concerns, dark concerns.

Gidget walks up to Tansy and grasps her hands gently. There is another soft click, and the voice that emanates from her is the woman again, "It's alright Tansy. You are in the subdistrict of Knoxburgh. It looks like you were having another lapse. What's the last thing that you can remember?"

The Count of Monte Carlo
"What..."What was that place?" She asked.

"It is the Shadow Realm. The darkness in between two different points of shadow. One of my abilities is to use shadows that are dark enough to travel from one point to another. It's a fast way of traveling and the enemy usually doesn't see it coming until it's too late."

Tansy paused for a moment and looked at the woman who stood before her. She knew her from somewhere... At the sound of her voice, she felt memories flood into her mind. "I'm not sure..." She frees one of her hands and placed it on her head. "I think I was with someone though... At least I think I was." She shook her head to clear her mind and looked at the woman again. "Gidge... I'm worried."

"It... It was beautiful. I want to go back. It was so peaceful." Deora said. She kept looking back top the shadows, as if a portal would reopen and take her back.
PostPosted: Sun Nov 07, 2010 8:48 pm
Alas all Deora could see is the shadow they came out of. If she tried going back through she'd only find the wall. "I'm afraid we can't go back. That's meant to be used as an as needed bases. You'd only be driven to madness being in the darkness so long. Besides, those that could get you back there are shadow manipulators like myself."

The secretary sitting at the desk gets up and presents Deora with a form for her to fill about her information and preferences of what type of room she'd prefer and if she wanted a room mate and so forth.

The look of disappointment was obvious in Deora's eyes as she turned away from the shadows and took the form from the secretary. This is what she was afraid of; she was trading a scary but free life for one that was safe but ruled. As she looked over the questions, she asked herself if she was making the right choice.

As she looked over the questions, she realized that she might actually have a few more choices than she did before. Now she got to choose where she could sleep, instead of taking what was available. Now that she had that choice, however, she couldn't decide what she would want.

Trinity saw the look of concern on Deora's face.

"I know that look. You are wondering if you have made the right decision. You're wondering if giving up the freedom you had for a place like this is the best decision. That it's too good to be true.

I do have to admit I didn't say yes at first. I thought I already had a home and trainer so I thought I didn't need Vallhalla. My mom talked me into getting a check up there. The next morning my trainer, who was the terribly wrong man for the job, attacked my home and took me. My mom, Gidget and I were rescued and taken here. They set up living accomodations and me a sensei.

When the threat was over my mom was able to go back. Although I had the option to go back with her, I felt that I could get a lot more out of it by staying here. Plus I didn't have to worry about people staring at me at school.

In my opinion it was the best decision I've made so far."

Gidget nods at Tansy's voiced concern. A message on her HUD shows Gidget the text sent to her by Trinity. A quick blink the and the message is deleted. Gidget focuses her attention back on Tansy. "It's alright Tansy. I'm here now and we're going to figure this out. Do you remember why you came to the subdistrict? Do you live here?"
PostPosted: Tue Nov 09, 2010 3:33 pm
Tansy nodded somewhat. She had been here before. She knew that people knew her, but she didn't know any of them. Everything seemed so different here. As she looked around, tears came to her eyes. "I think... I think I was trying to help people. But I don't know who, or... or why..."

Gidget maintains her grip on Tansy's hand. Her eyes shift to an x-ray spectrum and she scans around the area for an empty room somewhere. If her hands had been free, the realization that Deora's room was now vacant would've resulted in her slapping her own forehead. As it is, she huffs and returns her eyes to normal. She smiles and Tansy and says, "C'mon, lets go sit down."

Gidget leads Tansy into Deora's empty domicile and shuts the door behind them. She locates a chair for Tansy to sit on and scoots it over to her confused friend. "There you go. Just take a few deep breaths. Going into a panic will only make things worse. Take a moment and try to think. No rush."
