Nightrunner gets up and flicks his tail as he turns, leading her to the border with riverclan. "come"

"Okay!" Daypaw padded along side her mentor as they made their way to the RiverClan border. Once there, Daypaw scrunched up her nose, giving out an "Ew!" of diversification at the river's smell. "That smells nasty Nightrunner. How can you stand this-this-ew!"? She covered her nose with her paws at the unknown scent.

Lightblossom purred at his compliment, and watched interestedly as he caught his prey. "That was well caught, and what an unusual technique you used..." Lightblossom mewed, blinking her stunning ember eyes. The she-cat glanced at Illusion's fat rabbit, and purred while adding, "That could feed all of Winternight and her kits!" Lightblossom gazed at Illusion, her eyes sparkling, and a feeling swelling in her chest. She looked away, to the ground. Her heart was beating...And Lightblossom just realized the happy smile upon her face. 'What is this?' she wondered, puzzled at the feeling. But she just shrugged the question away. 'It doesn't matter. I like this feeling...' Lightblosom looked back up at Illusion, then cleared her throat, and pointed her tail towards Sunning Rocks. "Shall we move on?" she asked, already padding away.

Nightrunner smiled softly but it was quickly lost. "you will get used to it"

Winternight nudged Tulipkit out of the Nursery, "come on now Tulipkit, we have to talk to Autumnstar about your apprenticeship" she mewed as she watched her kit who's birthday was today walked proudly from the nursery

Tulipkit walked from the nursery proudly her head held high, "mother do you think my ceremony will be today?" she mewed as she followed her mother to the highrock

Autumnstar saw the cats approaching her, she padded over to them meeting them halfway, "why hello Winternight, Tulipkit, why have you come?" she asked as she sat back on her haunches

(who wants to take Tulipkit from me? i dont want to play my own apprentice :p)

"You sure?" She gazed up at her mentor with big kit-eyes. "I hope I do...I don't want to have to pretend that I don't mind the smell if we ever run into any RiverClan cats." She padded over to the water's edge, dipping a paw in the cold water. "Oh! It's so cold, but a nice cold. If that makes any sense..." She looked back at Nightrunner. "Nightrunner, do you ever wonder what our lives would have been like if we were born to a different Clan? Do you think that you'd still be my mentor?"

Winternight looked up at Autumstar, "well it's Tulipkit's 6th moon, i think it's time for her to be apprenticed" she mewed gazing proudly at her first born daughter, she had only ever had one litter, and the prouduct was Tulipkit, who looked just like her father but with her mothers eyes...

Autumnstar nodded, "oh my, im so sorry i forgot all about it, we will hold the ceremony at Sundown" she mewed before padding away to her den

Tulipkit let out a meow of excitement at the prospect of finally being made an apprentice. "I'm really becoming an apprentice now, aren't I?" She was so happy.

Winternight nuzzled her daughter with her muzzle, "yes you are, i am so proud of you, and im sure your father would to" she finished her eyes clouded with tears, she missed her mate deeply but she shook them off, "come on we must get you readied" she mewed as she headed back to the nursery.

Nightrunner shrugs and leads her to the thunderpath. "im not sure daypaw, but im sure that i would have been your mentor"

"I hope so..." She murmured, "Your already a great mentor to me." She padded with him to the ThunderPath, its scent coming off worse than the river's fish scent. "Ug. I rather go back to the river than take this stench." She held her breath as she spoke.

"Okay!" Tulipkit ran ahead of her mother as she made it to the Nursery's entrance.

Nightrunner sat down and inhaled, flicking his tail. "it is a disgusting scent but it seems so natural to breath it now i guess...." A sad look fills his eyes and he looks down.

Daypaw opened her mouth to say something about how bad it was, but stopped herself at the way Nightrunner held himself, eyes full of sadness. Instead, she padded next to him and put her nose against his should before saying, "If it's natural to you, then it'll be natural for me as well..." She closed her eyes, still staying close to her mentor. What can I do to make you happy? I don't like seeing you so sad.

Nightrunner gets up and leads her to the training hollow, not speaking the whole way and facing her once they get there. "i see a question in your eyes. what is it daypaw?"
