Sakura frowned not out of sadness more of hurtful feeling by Nobara comments. Whats wrong with her? I wonder... Sakura brushed her comment off and looked down at her leg. "Oh, let me help you with that." Sakura flew a bit forward and returned his wings back into his shoulder blades since he couldn't fly any closer 'cause of the branches. He fell a little but landed on the extremity of a branch but for some reason didn't break. It was as if he didn't weigh a thing, the branch barely moved downward. Sakura walked towards Nobara hoping she doesn't push him away anymore.

He arrived at the top and looked at the girl, Nobara.He decided he would wait until there was a chance to talk, not caring if he was seen.  

[Winny-chan]

Nobara scooted away from him, backing up against the tree trunk. She quickly unstrapped her bow, and picked it up with one hand effortlessly, dropping it to the ground with a large 'THUD.' She had taken off at least 100 pounds without that thing, and if need be, could jump to another branch quickly; she had gained so much agility by becoming an archer.

She bit her lower lip, covering up her cuts and bruises with her arm; she didn't want him to see them. Being an angel, or whatever he was, he'd have to come heal them... and she could do that herself! It was an independence issue she had since she was born; even when she was little, if she fell on the sidewalk, she didn't cry, her leg completely torn up; she just kept moving. She was too fast for anyone, and would never, EVER slow down. Nobara then felt the presence of that other guy close to her, and she sighed, loosening up her shoulders, her bangs now covering the top part of her eyes. You know what? I don't care. I just don't give a damn anymore. I'll just jump away at the very last moment...

Sakura looked down at the bow that fell, feeling the impact of it hitting the earth. Wow...a bit stronger then I thought... As he approached her, sensing the other guy from before, he felt some depression coming from Nobara. But, he ignored it for now since he felt as if he needed to help her.Sakura walked right up to her and asked, "Do you care if I heal you, or not?"

He looked at her quietly."Listen...I'm not here to try and be kind for once...I just want to know why you push away those that want to help you and be your friends..."He said as he floated to a branch parallel to hers.  

[Winny-chan]

Feeling cornered, Nobara jumped up to another branch, higher than both of them put together. "No, I don't need to be healed! I'm fine, I really am!" Although her leg now had streams of blood flowing down it, she didn't care. Her mouth puckered, and after speaking directly to Sakura, she pointed a finger at the other guy.

"I don't need friends, you hear me!? They just backstab and hurt you, anyway! What's the point of being with someone, sharing memories with them, if they'll turn around and use those thoughts and times as blackmail against you, anyway!?" Nobara was on another one of her 'anger streaks,' as her father sometimes put it, and she wouldn't stop until she had the last word. "You two don't know anything about me! I don't even know why you idiots would try to be friends with me, or even talk to someone like me!" The words spurting out of Nobara's mouth she didn't really mean, in a way... she just couldn't control what she said, like a little child claiming they hated their brother or sister. She didn't trust anyone. Period. After her own parents bribing her to come to this school, why should she trust anyone?

"Because I know what it's like to be stabbed in the back...The reason I have a black wing is because I thought I could trust a woman to help me...Then she bit me...Now I am A vampire and an angel...You can't imagine what I go through each day..."He said quietly.

"So thats it..." Sakura said. "You've been hurt by people in the past that called themselves 'your friend'. Well, Nobara, you shouldn't run away from the people trying to help. You never know, they might turn out to be actually 'friends'. But seems as you feel that everyone will hurt you for what you are. And of course I know nothing about you! I just met! Im trying to see if I could meet someone here that wouldn't mind being my friend! And why wouldn't I talk to you!? You seem nice when you get past all that anger inside of you!!" Sakura finally had enough of her 'anger streaks'. He told her what might get her to lower her shield.  

[Winny-chan]

"I don't care what either of you think!" She said, fuming with anger. " I don't care what happened to either of you, and if you want to be my friends or not! I'm sick of you both, why won't you just leave me alone!?" The best thing to do, she thought, was to push them away. Sure, they would hate her in the end, but that was the least of her worries. She could scream and cry and do whatever, but it looked like they weren't going to go away.

Though inside, the words Sakura and the stranger spoke struck her like a dagger. Being stabbed in the back... meeting friends... why would they want a friend like her? Nobody ever really was her friend before, so why start now, at the age of 16? She'd just be alone for the rest of her life, anyway. No use turning over a new leaf when she could just be the mean, ornery girl she always was, only kind once people dug so deep into her that she couldn't get them out.

"Please...Just relax a little!"He exclaimed."Listen...We don't want to hurt you or give you an inferiority complex or anything..."He said quietly.He landed on her branch after flapping once and took a tentative step towards her.

Sakura got angry, which he rarely is. "FINE!!! IF YOU DIDN'T CARE WHAT I HAVE TO SAY FROM THE START AND NEVeR CARED WHAT HAPPENED TO ME, WHY BOTHER EVEN TALKING TO ME!?!?!?!?" Sakura screamed at her. He really hoped that he wouldn't lose his temper so earlier on in the school year but, it happens. Inside he felt ugly and disgustied with his anger. Instantly calming himself down, he looked up at Nobara.  

[Winny-chan]

She stood up, not knowing what to say next. Nothing would come out. She was going to yell... but... something held her back. She was just as damned as she seemed... and Nobara didn't speak, now looking down, her bangs covering her eyes. I'm not going to cry... I'm not.... I can't cry in front of them... She barely even breathed, she just kept her eyes glued to the ground.

Nobara coudn't even fight; she had dropped her bow earlier. She was useless. Just.... useless. There was nothing else to say; she had let her emotions out, and now, if the two boys wanted to lash back out at her, they had their chance. I'm probably jealous, too.... they have all these neat powers, and I can't do anything but arch and have the strength of a 30 year old man... I'm so horrible...

"Listen...You need to calm down and relax..."He said gently his mood shifting from the normal dark and moody teenager."If you are done with your anger we would be glad to actually have a peaceful talk..."He said quietly.

Sakura saw the sadness in Nobara and sighed. "Look, Nobara...Just don't be so defensive. Theres people that do want to be your friends and not want to hurt you. So, why not give them a chance? You'll never know."

Sakura felt such sadness fill up inside him that he had to try to calm her down. Looking up at her reminded him of so many he met before her. "I hope you change your mind about what you said earlier though..." Sakura jumped down to the floor, flapping his wings only once to slow him down then returning back into him.

Because... I don't want to give people a chance anymore. I'm sick of giving out free chances... Although Nobara answered this question in her mind, she didn't say it out loud; in fact, she couldn't say it out loud anymore, her voice hurt now. Struggling to put on another 'protective front,' Nobara just shook her head and folded her arms across her chest.

I don't even want to speak to these guys... they have so many other girls to talk to, they should just leave me alone... all of the other people are smarter and nicer looking and happier, too... well, not smarter, but still. Sighing lightly, a breeze took up the small curls in Nobara's hair and pushed them across her face, rustling the leaves as well.
