The sweeping winds began to circle around the building, focusing on Alec as the eye of the storm.

Alec exhaled slowly as he shifted forms. He wasn't the small wolf-kin he normally was. Neither was he at the peak of physicality that he experienced when Zephyr took over when Shara attacked. He was something in between.

"This is your final warning! Leave us be!" he shouted at the bandit.

Since Kerana felt the echoing waves she focused on recovering her mana. She sighed to herself, perhaps Nova was right in some aspects. But she knew she was capable of doing light magic, there were more than one expert on crest expert had said this. She may not be capable of doing holy right now, especially at the level Trinity can do but she is capable of light magic. If Nova taken the time to look at it he would come to the same conclusion, but far be it for her to be correct over a man who's lived several life times without making a mistake. Even just thinking about Nova got her riled up.

Her train of thought was interrupted when she heard the wind pick up outside the building. She sensed this is more powerful than his normal wind spells. Then she heard him breath out. It sounded different. She looked to him, he was different. He wasn't his normal self and it wasn't the same as he was when Shara tried to take control of him. It wasn't Zephyr's form but it wasn't Alec's either. It seemed like something in the middle. She became worried, is this a form he is able to control, she wondered. "Alec, don't loose yourself." she whispered then bit her lip a bit.

Despite Alec's warning the man bashed in anyway. Kerana could only watch as they fought. She noticed the blades were glowing. The blades were constantly moving, she noticed the runes but could not figure out what it said, "The runes... Alec! Watch the blades they're more than they seem!"

Trinity looked up and over her shoulder as she felt a weird vibration down her neck. It wasn't the common shivers and she wondered out loud, "What was that?!" She wondered if it was magic related, "Did you feel that boss?" Little did she know she was sensing Alec's magic and Veran's runed blades. She felt a sense of dread as she rubbed her head.

Nova groaned and placed his hand on his face. Effectively facepalming.

"Light save me....can't leave those kids alone for two seconds...." He sighed. This was both good and bad news. Good news was that Trinity was beginning to sense magic. It would be vital later on. Bad news is now he knew the kids were in danger. He'd sacrifice them if he had something to gain from it but this was no the case.

"We left my other two students behind. The road ahead would be too dangerous. But it seems they are a bit of a magnet when it comes to danger. I'm going to have to pull them out of the figurative fire." Nova explained

"Trinity, no shadow traveling. Even if the kids are in danger, they are not helpless. And we will not always be there to save them."
PostPosted: Sun Dec 07, 2014 6:45 pm
Trinity frowned not only because Nova said she shouldn't use shadow traveling but the fact he used her name. Odds are it would be a matter of time before their guest would figure out that she is connected to all of those wanted posters. "Right boss."

(OOC: Apologizes for my absence)

Taking Trinity's offer to help him up, he stood and dusted himself off from the ground's small rubble. As the two of them talked, he mainly stayed silent, having not much to say at the moment. According to them, two kids were in danger. He didn't sense much, but perhaps it was purposeful. Aishi trailed behind the two as they proceeded through the tunnel. Quite obviously he didn't know the way, so if he lead, it'd mean random twists and turns throughout this vast mountain until he found a way. Fortunately, it appeared that Nova could feel the vibrations in the grounds to tell where things were. Somewhat like echolocation, only in the earth and no the air.

Aishi pocketed his free hand, strolling along as his eyes wandered about the cavern walls, eying the different patterns and textures they made. Like a child would spend time staring at a wall or carpet of some sort trying to find a "hidden" picture in the different colors and shades of the object. He was truly doing it to merely entertain himself. He had found countless of hidden passages by studying the walls. Of course, there were a lot of flukes and pointless patterns that Aishi's mind would make up, but once in a while it did come in handy.

He looked over at Nova and Trinity when the male said her name. It sounded familiar but he couldn't quite place where from.
"Trinity? Perhaps I know you from somewhere. You're name seems familiar but I can't recall from where."

He fully ignored the warning shouted at him and continued to bash against the ice feeling the slow degrade of the barrier and it giving way under his assault. Just a few more....With one final bash the ice separating him and the two inside was shattered and he burst inside, feeling the wind whip around his body. His eye immediately noticed the wolf, but he was definitely different. More powerful...more dangerous. What is this thing anyway?

As the ice fell to the ground around him, he stood facing the two. His stance was no longer one of casual brawling. He was entirely in the mental state of wanting to kill. He would never slack, never waste a move and perform t the best he could. "Whatever you are...you can't beat me kid. Step aside..and maybe you'll get off easy." He noticed the girl was exhausted. He would keep an eye on her, but he knew he didn't have much to fear from her right now. The main threat in the room was this wolf..or whatever he was.

He could sense that he had some of the same mentality Veran had. The urge to kill...it wasn't as strong, but it was there. Still, unless he fully let go and cared for nothing less than total bloodshed, there would probably be no way he could match up to Verans speed and skill. With a small push off the ground, he rushed the wolf, both blades flashing ready to strike at whatever opening there was available. Both his runed and ice blade longed to draw the mans blood.

Don't clash our claws with his blades, Pup. Keep him at a distance. Get him outside if you can.

Alec made a quick rotation of his arms, wrists, and hands to gather wind. After a quick thrust of his arms there were no openings, just gale force winds.

A visible column of twisting wind burst from his palms and expanded to a circumference large enough to engulf an average human male. The force of the twister was enough to blow a hole through the weakened wall of the dilapidated building.

His goal was to blow the man outside. Alec's abilities were strongest when surrounded by nature.

Alec's move compromised what was left of the building's integrity. Rubble started to fall, "ALEC!" She screamed reaching out to him as the floor collapsed beneath them. She was out of his site, but was able to keep the rubble away barely by using an advanced technique of telekinesis. This tends to take a clear mind and more concentration than the elemental.

Veran felt the blistering gusts of wind smash against his body and hoist him in the air. They must be able to feel the thirst of my blade. He's trying to keep me at a distance. As he was flung around the room wildly, he carefully waited for his chance to get close to the girl. He'd come close a couple of times while being tossed around in the wind. If he passed close enough to her, he could scratch her as he passed by.

As the wind shifted, he saw his chance. He redied himself, but watched the floor collapse and both of them fall down to the lower level. The wind stopped and he felt himself dropping, instead driving his ice blade into the roof and grasping tight. It held..through only barely and he was only a foot away from the window he had entered through. He felt the cold of the blade start to seep into the building it had penetrated, giving the ceiling an icy, frosted glint.

He took in a breath as he gazed down at the two. The wolf who was more than he appeared and the girl who was wanted more dead than alive. "You're very good. I've not had such a challenge in a long time." He winced again, feeling the pulse of the runed blade in his hand as it hung there. He couldn't let them go...it was one of them or him now...and he wasn't going to let it be him. It's not over until I get one of you. I won't let you go. She won't have me this time.

Alec had fallen hard on the floor below. He had been concentrating so hard on keep the bandit away from them that he didn't notice he was falling until it was too late. He had seen Kerana reaching out to him, but he was inches away from grabbing her.

He landed on his left shoulder, dislocating it. He yipped and growled in pain.

When he opened his eyes he was surrounded by rubble, but no Kerana.

"Kay...Kay?! Kerana!" He frantically began sniffing and pulling at the broken boards and beams with his good arm.

She is alright. Do not ignore your enemy!

He found her general location using her scent and stood near it. He then turned and look up at the bandit as the man was complimenting him. Alec cut his eyes at the bandit and growled ferociously.

Calm yourself. Keep your wits about you or we'll have no choice but to resort to IT.

Alec was tempted to let IT happen. To his knowledge no one had ever survived a confrontation with a guardian that had been cornered to that point.

Kerana

Veran winced again as the blade stung his hand. His body shuddered and he felt the icy blade in the ceiling shift out a bit. He was going to fall. The wolf below him seemed to be both worried and apprehensive, although he could be reading him completely wrong. At this point in the fight, it didn't matter much. He had two options....

One, pull the blade out and drop down to the continuing fight. Throw the ice blade at the wolf and hope he'd deflect it and then strike at his opening with the other blade. He'd probably get a decent wound in on his enemy while more than likely taking a hit himself but it would save himself from Alexa's wrath.

His other option..try to reason. The wolf was obviously a protector or some kind of bodyguard for the girl. He didn't see her anywhere in the rubble and was probably worried about her. Matter of fact, he KNEW he was worried since he heard him calling for her. He looked like he was wounded or somehow weaker since the drop and maybe he could reason with him. Allow Veran to give him a scratch and call a temporary truce between the three.

He decided to risk it. Alexa wouldn't be patient for much longer and when she got mad enough, it got ugly. "You there...wolf. You're worried about the girl aren't you?" He gazed straight into the wolfs eyes, his gaze holding no sign of trickery or deceit. "I'll give up if you allow me one favor. You let me give you one tiny scratch of my blade. After that, I'll sheath them both and no harm beyond that will come to either of you. You best hurry with your answer...before your girl suffocates beneath the rubble." He could feel the ice blade slipping further from the hold. If he didn't answer before he fell, he would have to continue the fight.

I can feel the flow of air where Kerana is. There is no need to worry about her suffocating. There is, however, need to worry about that runed blade. You can feel it, no? It's lust for blood? A small scratch may do more damage than you think.

Yet your injury has decreased your ability to fight. The choice is yours, pup.

Alec began to think that there was more going on than the bandit let on. Why the need to scratch with that sword in particular?

"If that sword needs blood in such a way that you essentially become a vampire's thrall then you should just get rid of the thing." he asserted.

"How do I know that thing isn't going to incapacitate me to the point where I can't dig Kerana out?"

Veran sighed as he hung there. "It's not a vampires....ugh! You want the story then make up your mind! There's no risk to you or her from what I'm offering and the more you procrastinate, the less time you have. I'm offering you a deal for me to walk away with far less bloodshed than I intended..." Another shift and his body jerked as the blade once again latched to its final grasp. Another few seconds and he would fall down towards the man.

"I'm giving you a chance to live for at least a while longer. You want to know why..then take the risk! One scratch isn't going to affect you as much as if I went full bore on you..trust me. Now....before I fall please...will you take it? You have no more time to debate this! In that state, I'm sure you'll be fine!"

Kerana's forehead was beginning to moisten with sweat. She was trying to think of a way out of this... without thinking too much for fear of letting the debris flatten her like a pancake. She felt she couldn't call for Alec, he had to deal with the man with the rune covered blade. Wait a minute... runes... that's it! At that moment the debris slipped a little closer. She focused on the debris and wrote the runes in a shadow.

"I, Kerana, call upon the daughter of shadows to appear before me."

"It's a more common name than you think. At least where I come from." Nova responded. He took a deep breath and winds picked up. Which was strange considering they were in a cave. But they took shape next to him. The very mana became visible as it merged with the wind. It took the shape of a wolf. It's form was defined by a light blueish glow along with visible streams of wind coursing through it. Nova rarely uses summoning but it was useful.

"Go."

The wolf ran with like the wind towards his goal. Alec, or rather Zephyr. That old spirit should recognize the form of the wolf. Nova used to have that form when they both lived.

"Better hang on tight. We need to make haste. An sphere of wind formed around the three of them. Bundling them together as they were lifted of the ground. The sphere then followed the same path as the wolf did but slower.

As Aishi asked more about her name, she kept silent, she was so tired of the usual meeting someone, then finding she is a wanted criminal due to the posters that lay false claim to that. Trinity smirked in approval at Nova Thanks, nice save. Then Nova surrounded them in a sphere of wind. She held her hood down as they were picked up.

"Hey boss, any idea what the kids have gotten themselves into?"
