Kiater noiticed her looking at his cain.
"Oh sorry", he said blushing, "I'm Kiater".
Kiater yawned, he had been tired he had went to alot of new places today. He diden't have a dorm yet so he had no where to sleep. And his leg hurt. She's probably wondering what happend. Kiater smiled for no appearent reason and looked at the sky.  

[Shunko]

"It's just Sora." She said, catching the insult. She smiled and asked, "Soo... What do you do when your mom isn't around?" She asked curiously. "Its not common for mothers to leave their children by themselves unless they're around 10. You must be a pretty good kid!"

Sora blinked and then said, "You know, you can harden that stare whenever you feel like it." She looked back at Joy and said, "I'm just a new friend, I guess. Not a criminal." She gave a smile and then asked, "Hey, do you like flying?"

 

[Celestial Lullaby]

"I normally go look for rabbit's.. Mommy doesn't like it when I do that... so I go whenever she isn't around." Joy smiled cutely... just thinking about chasing rabbits made her happy. After awhile, she came back to reality. "Not neccesarily.. but when your mind is overdevelopped.. it's a pain to act the age you actually are."

"I never said you were my friend." Joy glared once more at Sora for a couple minutes to let her statement sink in, then broke into wild panic when the girl mentioned flying. Joy immediately shook her head as hard as she could, her legs spread apart, her hands in fists at her side. her eyes were shut tight so that Sora wouldn't be able to see the primal fear in them.

Celeste had taken her daughter out for a trip in the air once. It relaxed her, but all Joy could think of was how fast the air went by her, and how small she was... and how hard the ground was. Joy was immensly scared of flying.. well not flying... she was scared of the wind.. and the things the wind told her.

It's an interesting thing.. to be sared of the very thing that gave you power. It makes you feel insecure, scared of ever using your power, but for the year and 3 months Joy had existed, she had learned to cope with that fear... but she still wouldn't fly.

Sora's eyes seemed to sadden a little as Joy glared at her, but she tried not to do anything stupid. She saw how scared Joy was of flying, and said softly, "Forget about the whole flying statement. I wasnt aware that it would scare you so much."

She smiled as she looked at the setting sun, and then looked at Joy. "I'm sorry, Joy, I've probably been a nuisance to you. That's what I get though, for being so nice." She sighed, and reached into her bag, pulling out a silver necklace with a small moon-shaped, sapphire pendant. "When I saw you, this is what you reminded me of. You should keep it, Joy." she gently picked up Joy's hand and put the necklace in her hand. "I hope that it's okay."

 

[Vamp_from_hell]

Shepard went to say thing cruel but stopped himself. The girl who was talking to Joy seemed nice. He couldn't bring himself to say anything. He would have to find someone else. " Whatever..brat" he said annoyed. Ok maybe he did have one mean thing to say. He slowly walked looking for someone else he thought was smart to help fix his machine.

Joy received the necklace quietly and looked at it for awhile... A thought of of mother ran fleetingly through her head. Now Joy, that wasn't very nice, apologize to the nice lady. She was being kind, it's not her fault you're only five. It's not her fault that you're a genius. Now apologize, NOW!

Joy shivered at the image of her mother scolding her and quickly ran up to the lady and tugeed on her hand, then necklace now firmly around her neck, she didn't even seem to mind it not being black. "Please Sora, don't go! I'm sorry.. I'm not all that good at being friendly," Joy looked down, feeling sort of lonely. Again Celeste appeared in her head. Now say thanks for the necklace, she's not a stranger, and it's not candy. You're lucky, most people don't have what you have. You may have no social skills, but people will approach you because you're a child, make the most of it!

Joy nodded to herself and looked at Sora, still holding the girl's hand with both of hers. "Ummm.." color began to spread to Joy's cheeks, "thanks for the necklace, it's really pretty." Joy smiled sheepishly at the older woman. She wasn't good at making friends, but her mom couldn't always make them for her. She had to try hard now.

Sora grinned softly, her eyes beginning to sting a little bit. She felt a rush of happiness and understanding. She knew how Joy felt; she had a hard time making friends too. Her voice was a little shaky as she said, "Your a good kid, you know that?" She was trying back to hold back a tear or two to fall down her face, but she was just so happy.

"You know, you may not have good social skills, but you're a child, so people will approach you. If you make the most of it, you might end up with many friends, Joy." The tears fell down her face, but she quickly wiped them away. "And it's okay... if its hard to be friendly. It's just how everybody is."

Sora let out a small sigh and asked, "Shouldn't your mom be back soon? It's getting late. And I'd also like to meet her. She sounds like a very kind woman."

 

[Celestial Lullaby]

Joy nodded happily at the mention of her mother. No matter what, Joy would stick by her mother's side... it was easy to be loyal to Celeste. "She's very wise for her age.. and great with people... she should be back soon." Joy smiled at Sora earnestly. It was hard for Joy to open up, but this subject was really easy to talk about.

Mom? Where are you? Joy sent out a mind call to her mother, she wanted her to meet her new friend.

I'm right on top of you Honey

Suddenly, a woman materialised from the air and dropped to her knees beside her daughter to absorb the fall. Getting up once again, celestial revealed herself to be a short woman with violet eyes and black hair that fell to her knees. It was down and intertwined with mini-braids, parted down the middle.

Her outfit was simple. A Blue sweater that matched her daughter's eyes and normal jeans. The girl smiled at Sora then at Joy. "You sure have been busy getting to know the people at this school. Yesterday a fight with a man four times your age and now this. Why don't you introduce us? "

Joy nodded, enthusiam making her eyes sparkle. She tugged on Sora's sleeve to bring her to Joy's side and announced proudly. "Mama this is my new friend, Sora!" Celestial smiled warmly and offered Sora a pale elegant hand to shake.

"Hi there, I'm Celeste, Joy's mother. It's a pleasure." Celeste smiled warmly at Joy's new friend. She was genuinely proud of her daughter. A friend made all by herself! Joy was so great.  

[Shunko]

Sora shook Celeste's hand and said, "She's a wonderful girl, Miss Celest. you must be so proud of her." She smiled, and looked back at Joy, who seemed very happy. The sapphire necklace seemed to glow, and it looked so pretty on Joy.

"Joy is a great person, once you get to know her. It took a while for her to open up, but all in all, everything worked out great, don't you think so too, Joy?" She gave a warm smile, seeing that all in all, the day wasn't a waste. In fact, she's made a wonderfull new friend.

 

[Celestial Lullaby]

"Please, don't call me miss, it makes me sound like a stuck up old woman." Celestial smiled graciously, noticing the necklace but not mentioning it. "We have to go home, it'll be dark soon. I hope you and Joy can play again sometime."

"Bye bye" Joy said sadly and followed her mom to a clear space of grass. Suddenly a jet materialized and opened it's door for the two of them. Celeste smiled gently as Joy waved good bye then carefully led her daughter onto the ramp and into the jet.

The door then closed and Celestial buckled in the little girl and then herself, the jet started and they launched into the air. As long as the air wasn't flying by her face at high speeds, Joy was fine. Here, the air current couldn't touch her. That was all Joy needed.

Sora waved good bye at Joy, and as the jet took off, she cupped her hands around her mouth and called out, "Good bye Joy! Good Bye Celeste! Thanks for everything!" She knew that they probably couldnt hear her call out to them, but she did it anyway, just for fun. then she added quietly, "I'll miss you, Joy." She smiled, then walked out of the courtyard and to the dorms to rest for the night.

Erik peered at the lonesome girl under his hood. She seemed just as lonely as he. Against his better judgement, and antisocial feelings, he approached her, quietly, and stood beside her, before whispering a quiet "Hello."
