((OOC: Geebus! I had a nice long juicy post and just when I was about to post it... my phone died on me gonk Sorry it took so long to post but here we go...))
Trinity looked down and away as Nova looked at her. She felt having robbed of his child of her father's last moments. It wasn't hard to tell that he is a very good father. She saw how he was with Kerana and Alec, even as his student she could see it. What a great fatherly figure he is. She had wished her father was more like him instead of wasting himself away on alcohol when business turned south.
That train of thought led her to think of the memories she had of her father. The first thing that came to mind was his last day. His eyes were filled with disapointment looking down upon her from his cross. He spat in her face and rubbed it in on how she came too late.
She paused and tried to remember a better time. Through countless dark nights of drunkenness and beating her mother, and him balling the next morning about his actions the night before. There were more fonder memories in her younger age, one of which made her smile. It was the day her father discovered that she took an interest in his craft. The expression on his face was that of an unexpected surprise, a good one. This came across his face as he observed her trying to do what he did with a little hammer and scrap metal on the anvil. He then did not hesitate to teach her everything he knew of black smithing. He was at his best when he was sober and this reflected in his work.
At the time it was hard for her to tell which came first. The bad news that his business was going sour or the drinking that made the news ten times worse? Or was it too much celebratory drinking which led to the news? But whatever the matter, it did not matter now.
She looked to Nova. Although it is true, she wouldn't have had any clue as to how she would fulfill the profecy, or a proper teacher that could teach her the trade of magic arts, she needed him. Yet it still felt awful to rob his child of a great father. He may be able to carry on by being reborn and so forth, but what of his wife, what of his family? She promised herself that she would ensure that Nova would return, alive or dead. Though she hoped for alive, but she and her party will only see what fate has designed.
