Daypaw was startled when Nightrunner rose up suddenly and lead them to the Sandy Hollow, not facing her once until they arrived there. It was only then did he ask her what was troubling her. "What happened at the ThunderPath to have made you so sad?" No jokes, no jests, nothing but the honest truth that she wanted from her mentor, but she knew that he had his right not to tell her.

Nightrunner looks down and flicks his tail sadly. "i was remembering my mentor....she said that one day...when i had an apprentice...i would know what it means to love"

Daypaw smiled. "That's good to know. A life without love is pretty depressing. I'm happy you're my mentor, Nightrunner because now I may bring love back into your life." Her eyes were beaming with happiness as a purr rose gently from her throat. Whether she would be the one to love Nightrunner or not did not matter to her, what mattered was to make his life full of happiness and love.

Nightrunner looks at her and nods, gently licking the top of her head quickly in adoration and appreciation* "you will make a fine warrior one day, i know it"

Autumnstar looked about the camp and noticed Four cats not amoung them, "Lightblossom and Illusionpaw should be here with fresh-kill what is keeping them?" she thought then shook her head, they were probably having trouble with it being leaf-fall, prey wasn't as plentiful...

Winternight lead her only kit into the nursery, she began to groom the soon-to-be-apprentice's ruffled fur, her paw held her down as she gently laid the ruffled coat down tell it glossed, "there i think you are ready now" she said her eyes full of pride

Daypaw giggled as Nightrunner licked the top of her head before she said, "With you as my mentor, I know I will become a great warrior." Her eyes were sparkling with pride and adoration for her mentor.

"Yes! I can't sit still any longer!" Tulipkit jumped up, careful not to mess up her pelt as she made her way to the High Rock and to her Clan Leader. I'm going to be an apprentice! It was almost too good to be true, but it was true and she felt ecstatic about it all.

Nightrunner smiles a soft smile of affection and shows her the hunting crouch.

Daypaw loved his smiles, it made her stomach feel funny, not the bad kind of funny, but the good kind. She mimicked Nightrunner's crouch as they began practicing hunting techniques.

Nightrunner nods and smiles, gently nudging her into the proper form. "like that daypaw"

"Oh, okay." She fixes her crouch, feeling the way her muscles bunch up in a way that felt natural.

Winternight followed her spunky kit to highrocks to await Autumnstar...

Autumnstar saw the impatentience from the young kit, ans she smiled as she lept to the the top of the highrock, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the High Rock!" she called, and watched patiently as her Clan mates gathered beneath her. She beckoned to the excited Tulipkit to come over to the High Rock. "Tulipkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Tulippaw. I ask StarClan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior" Autumnstar glanced up into the gathered cats. "i have decided to mentor young Tulippaw, she will learn Wits and Agility from me" she leapt down and touched noses with the newly made apprentice

Nightrunner nods and sits on his haunches, cleaning an ear. "you pick the skills up quickly daypaw"

"Really? You think so?" She perked her ears up at his praise but kept her stance as she scented a mouse in the nearby bushes. Moving slowly, she got as close to the mouse she could before she saw it. But instead of just going after the mouse, she jumped, scooping it up into the air before she went to the squirrel that she had spotted just a hair's length away from the mouse. She snapped the squirrel's neck with her jaws before she swiped the mouse's throat with her claws, She killed two pieces of prey, she got lucky and told Nightrunner so.

Tulipkit walked calmly to the High Rock though she was actually nervous about her ceremony. And then, the most unexpected thing happened to her. She was to be her Clan leader's apprentice! I can't believe it! Was all she could think of as she touched noses with Autumnstar and then licked her shoulder as she had seen so many other apprentices before her had done during their ceremonies.

Nightrunner smiles and nods, getting up and stretching. "very good daypaw. lets return to the camp and you may put your prey on the pile"

Winternight stood shocked as Autumnstar offered to mentor her daughter, she smiled as her kit touched noses with the the leader, "thank you Autumnstar" she mewed as she nuzzled her daughter

Autumnstar smiled as Tulippaw's soft tounge licked her shoulder, "you are very welcome Winternight" she said a smile lighting her features, she flicked her tail at Tulippaw, "training starts tomorow at sunrise alright" she mewed before padding over to stand at the front entrance lifting her head and opening her mouth tasteing the air for the cats still out of camp, she smelled Daypaw and Nightrunner returning she nodded and continued to sit, she had a job for them
