Okay, I just went to the GD forum recently. The title was named "China or Japan?" Obviously, the majority of everyone's post was "Japan because like OMG MANGA AND ANIME! AND CULTURE w00T!" Okay, I don't mind. But then they started dissing China and finding excuses why China 'isn't good'. Those disses were false or stupid. And they even made up bullshit which pisses me off! One person said "Oh and they wouldn't go into war unless it was to defend their country! Japan is so respectful!" Okay so like you're saying China would go to war and not defend their country? DO YOU EVEN REALIZE JAPAN STARTED WWII?!?! They killed a lot of Chinese damnit. I say China is the respectful one here you retards! China never went to war and don't have the intension of doing so. "Japan's history is so much more interesting! No offense China." Interesting that Japan slaughtered many innocent people all over Asia? Well ******** that. "Japan! Because Japan doesn't kill babies." Haha... Japan did worse than killing babies. JAPAN killed pregnant women during the war, killed children and many more. On top of that, they even raped women! I don't care if everyone rather go to Japan, but blaming China for being a crappier country? Well ******** you, ********! "Plus the stuff that says "Made in China" are not invented in China. Who gives a ********' care? They're job is not to invent, it's to produce you idiots. China invented paper! Without paper I bet Japan wouldn't even have invented such great technology. "Those 'Made in China' stickers annoy me." They make better stickers than you so STFU! It makes me terribly sick, the Japanese lovers. They all bow down to Japan. Not only the Japanese, everyone. My Viet friends are like "I want to live in Japan!" Why? "Because of the anime and cheery blossoms!" Well if you want to go live there only for that, I'm not sure how your life is going to turn out. Because they don't label anime everywhere on every building or house. Cheery blossoms is like a normal tree. My friends don't even know how to speak Japanese. It's like they want to live in a random country just like that! It makes me sick to know everyone is bowing for Japan. For God sakes! Just be proud of your own country. I know the culture and crap is all interesting but you're becoming a damn clone I see everyday on Gaia. "I wish I was Japanese, I love their manga, cheery blossoms, pocky, culture, history..." If everyone will act like this then I guess there will be Japanese-Wannabes living all over Japan. ARGH... Those damn stupid and retarded ******** forgot that Japan came from China so stop dissing the country where Japan originated from you damn idiots!

You know what really riles me up? Two-faced people.

When people become so greedy that they have to make a petition in an attempt to justify that greed. For instance, the Silver Halo Petition thread. I made a post stating my arguments against her petition back when her first post allowed it. Now that she has nothing to say against me, she has editted the first page to disallow debate and discussion on the topic. Not only that, but she also uses that so-called "reason" to flame me and to call me a troll.

Here's my post that I made in the thread. Page 32 if you're interested:

I know this has probably been said in the past but I would like to reiterate my point.

The description of the Halo is: Angelic Halo, Those who are selfless and giving are often mistaken for angels -- the halo is the true mark of this angelic race.

Someone once quoted the Halo's description a while back, which gets to my point, so hold on. You know what? The original Halo owners were and are "selfless and giving". Why? Let me tell you a story. In June 2003, a small and crappy, hardly working site called Gaia Online first added a button which allowed users to donate money to Gaia via Paypal. At the end of the month (I think; might've been immediately after they donated), however, these users found that strange "Thank You Letters" had appeared in their inventories, and upon opening them found the Angelic Halo inside. Essentially, the Halo is unique because those who donated for the Halo did not know about donation letters and did not expect donation letters. They donated for the sole purpose of helping Gaia grow - there was absolutely no greed involved. So, should Halos be re-released (in any shape or form), available for all the greedy little ******** hoarders to hand out like goddamn candy at a zillion K a pop? I think that would go against the very meaning of the Halo. The Halo is special for one reason - it was the only donation item into which greed did not play.

Anyways, anything that allows users to gain large numbers of old donation items, particularly if it's just allowing donators to donate extra money for them, quest longer, super rare event, etc., will inevitably decrease the overall amount of donations and cut Gaia's income significantly. Why? Because re-releasing the items en masse would drop prices, which would axe the donation letter economy, which would cause users to stop trying to hoard and save donation letters, which would cause letters to cease to be easy cash simply because there's so many more sellers than buyers, which would decrease the overall demand for donation letters, which would lead to less people donating for letters.

Bringing about the end of Gaia as we know it. I for one, am very satisified with the status quo.

So in response to this petition and having considered both your points and my own, I would have to say NAY.

I agree with why you would be irritated by "those people". But it can't be helped since most of those people have not been educated about Japanese and Chinese history. Japanese media has been popularized, for sure. I like Japanese things too, but probably don't want to live there for the anime or trees. Heh heh. But at least I have an idea what those countries were like in the past that I wouldn't be bias towards one side. China has faults too, but nobody mentioned them, according to your post. Although I lost money by investing in Sealeds, I was able to sell them all off for cheap and then use the pure to "play the gradient" (opening the Sealeds and selling the items for more) to make up my loss and to make a 25k profit overall. smile

@nightrain: i like japan. part because of mangas and animes but mostly because they have really pretty scenery. i'm not bent on world domination (anymore) but i like to own things. mostly places. And I've read that japan is really clean. and i like clean places. and i like to own things. oh i've already said that haven't i? lol.

I want the angelic halo. but only because of how rare it is. if it stopped being rare i really wouldn't care (hey i rhymed xd ) I don't think i know what the halo looks like... i thought i did but that wasn't it. but it's on my list to quest for. and so that's the definition of the halo.
