Tell me, what's your secret? Is it still me that makes you happy?" he asked, an edge of malice obstructed his velvet voice. Nimia giggled. "Hate to break it to you, Kyo, but it is no longer you." She ducked her head and blushed. "Kazuya." Kyo smiled slightly "Ahh, you fall in love rather easily. I've been gone no longer than two days and in my absence your infatuation has already drifted elsewhere. How nice that things are so simple for you..." Nimia snorted. "I wouldn't call my life simple. I just met him today...he is one of Astuhime's guardians, but he was allowed a day off..." Her mind trailed off to the garden, but she was quickly brought back to her senses. "All I ever felt for you was simply an infatuation. This, I believe, isn't." "Ah, but what is love but a temporary madness? It is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion... for that is simply being in love; which any of us can convince our selves we are..." he paused, contemplating giving her the true definition of love. "What is it that you felt for your dear Irial? Just infatuation?"
*still thinking* Isn't he the one who told her that she would know when she was in love? Somthing about her heart beating? |

Now, as jaded as I've become, I realizes that love is what is left over after being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident." |
