More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Laying in the middle of the floor was the angelic form of Tansy. Tears streamed down her face as she lay on her side, her wings malted, most of the feathers missing and the patches of skin that could be seen were bloody, as if each feather had been ripped out one by one. She sobbed silently, her body shaking with each ragged intake of breath. She seemed unaware of anything going on around her. For really, there was nothing but the never ending darkness.

Gidget spots Tansy and runs to her. She slows down as she approaches her friends. She puts her hands out passively and says quietly, "Tansy, Tansy it's me Gidget. Can you hear me?"

Tansy paused and looked up. Her eyes wide, she threw herself at her friend, wrapping her arms tightly around her and holding her close. "Oh my god. Are you real?!" She sobbed into her shoulder. "Please tell me your real." Her plea was barely a whisper as her body continued to shake. "Tell me you've found a way out. Lie to me. Just tell me that everything will be okay and that we'll find a way out if this... please." She cried. "I don't want to live in the nothingness anymore."

Gidget holds tight to Tansy. The sensation of touch is almost too much for her. It has been so long since she could feel the warmth of an embrace.

However, she was cautious. Tom had warned her about the possibility of the other half trying to escape, or trap Gidget within Tansy's mind-scape. Gidget knows that she has to be absolutely sure about the identity of the person in front of her, because in all likeliness "Angel" will look like Tansy.

A question. Angel didn't recognize Gidget yesterday, so that means she doesn't know what happened thirteen years ago.

Gidget slowly pulls Tansy off of her and looks into her friend's eyes. "I'm sorry to do this Tansy, but I have to be sure. Thirteen years ago we were kidnapped. But before that, when everything was calm, I gave you something. What was it?"

"Well that...sounds interesting actually." Theonis looked up surprised. He didn't consider that himself. Apparently Trinity seemed to know what he liked more than he did.

"I've never even considered that. But you're right. I guess I could do that. Thanks Trinity."

She didn't think she would read him this well. To her it seemed like he was an open book, she really hoped that having a job here meant she could see him more often. "Well that option will be open for you when you're ready. When you have full control of your power."

Subjects of work kept rising in her head but she reminded herself that she couldn't freely tell him everything until she knew for certain that he isn't a mole for Daedalus. Now that she thought about it, it could be quite possible, he had been working with Daedalus when the whole college dorm went down... At that point she made a note to herself to investigate what happened through what she could find in the news archives. It seemed it wasn't a clean break with the Daedalus Project but still she needed to cover all angles on this, no matter how much she liked him.

Tansy paused a looked at her with confusion in her eyes. "What are you talking about 13 years ago?" She frowned deeply before she looked away for a moment and took a deep breath. doing her best to clam herself. "Are you talking about that harness that you made?" She looked back to her friend, still obviously confused.

Gidget smiles and nods. "Yes, exactly. I just had to be sure that it was you. C'mon, stand up. I'm going to make sure that you don't have to be in the dark again." She helps Tansy up and gives her a shoulder to rest on.

"You told me earlier that Angel resides in the darkness. I found you, but where is she?"

"Hmm I guess I could but putting that aside...since you are the head of security here, I think you should know what really happened that night. Not that I mind having you around. Not at all actually. But I don't like the thought of someone keeping tabs on me in case my powers go berserk." Theonis explained. It was hard speaking about this but he had to say it. He also didn't want her to think he is some kind of murderer.

"My friends were okay with my powers. In fact they thought it was awesome. Since I could only do small things like giving a certain dice in a casino a nudge, I thought that was the limit of my power. Apparently the casino noticed that. So they informed Daedelus. When we got back to our room, we found that one of us...was kind of...all over the place. Within no time they surrounded us. And there was this...Meta who could warp the human body...distort it. Since we had no where that we could run to he murdered the rest of my friends. When I saw that...I....my powers...snapped. And the rest you know."

Trinity observed him and listened to his every word. Everything about him indicated he was telling the truth. With his story told, she found that he wouldn't have a motive to work for Daedalus.

"I know it wouldn't change anything...but the way I see it. It wasn't your fault, I blame Daedalus. You weren't aware of what your power was really capable of and your reaction was from grievance and self defense." She wasn't expecting to change his mind.

She felt that since they were on the subject of Daedalus she figured it was okay to tell him her story of why she couldn't stand Daedalus. "A couple of years- I mean, earlier this year. Daedalus was tracking down all the residence that had been effected by the meteors. They couldn't find me but... They found my parents. They were only grocery shopping, Daedalus shot them under the mere assumption that they were metas. When I got there I was too late...I still blame myself for not being fast enough.

In grief and frustration I did what my teachers were advising against. Knowing that scientists predicted the date of the next meteor shower were months away, meaning more metas would need protection from Daedlus and from each other. I spent a year in the shadows surrounded in darkness. Time flows faster there I got as much training in as I could, unfortunately I didn't take into account that it would take another year in the in the shadows to step into the light. Yesterday was my first full day back in the light.

Sorry, droning on again. I swear I don't normally talk about myself this much." She rubs her head a little looking at him hoping she didn't bore him.

"I don't mind. Looks like we both have quite the story huh? I haven't contacted my parents since the accident. As far as they know I am dead. It's for the best. If Daedelus found out that there were in contact with me..well.ya know." Theonis said with a bit of a sigh.

"So...if I understand correctly..Time flows faster in your...shadow world. So wouldn't that mean you have access to some kind of new dimension?" Theonis asked to change the subject.

Trinity smiled at the change of subject. "Well I never thought of it that way. But now that you mention it I suppose it could be considered that. I tend to have refer to that place as the Shadow Realm, the shadows or... the darkness.

As for time, it tends to run more normally when I'm near the light. Like when when I watch through the shadows it is all normal speed. However when I go deeper to get from point a to point b time speeds up, which allows me to get anywhere quickly."

"Hmm...so if I get this right then.." Theonis grabbed a napkin."If these are A and B and you'd need to get to B you'd have to travel a certain amount of time normally."He started to explain himself and folded the two opposite ends towards each other."So to make up for the time that you should have spend getting there normally, the time in your Shadow Realm is faster. That about right?"

"Gigdet, this the first time I've spoken to you in... I don't even know how long." she frowned somewhat. "I'm not really sure what's going on here, but I'm gussing you've figured out that he's inside my head and you're here to help." she looked hopeful for a moment. "Right?"
