*Sigh* I am going to be so out of shape for soccer practice. I haven't run for forever. Sure, I "ran" when I was playing "Hide behind the trees in front of Uncle Jim and Aunt Ellen's house switching trees by running and screaming every time a car drives by" with Grace, but she's three, and she doesn't exactly run that fast. I've just been walking twelve hours a day for the past two weeks.

I can't walk in the games, though. I play Glue. In other words, I target the best goal scorer/player and stick right with them regardless of where they run to. It requires being fast, something I can do, but also a lot of stamina and endurance, which I don't have.

Oh boy.

I would love to, Hawk, but my school is too small and doesn't offer it. Though my PE teacher is a marathon runner. xd He got... 4th? in the Boston Marathon... sometime. Don't remember when.

Or wait, maybe it was sixth...

I haven't been able to run lately because I have no car. And it requires a car to go to my running place. Laps aorund the backyard is impossible as well--I can't exactly hop the pool. *sigh*

Okay, so I am happy and sad at the same time.

Sad:
-THEY CUT DOWN OUR TREES! We saw when we came home. About 50ftx20ft, just CLEAR CUT! Okay, so they weren't on our property, but I love my trees and consider them to be public in ownership.

-I am so out of shape it ain't funny. I couldn't even run two whole laps before I died. I don't care about my stupid disease and the fact that I have bad knees and ankles and am not technically allowed to run. I WANT TO PLAY SOCCER! scream

-We lost a 7th grade math teacher, our district-wide art teacher, an ed-tech, and our high school principal because of the stupid consolidation. They want to make sure they still have a job by the time this is over, and I understand that, but... That means we no longer have an art program (not that I was in it, but still)! We never had one before until we got the teacher, and now she's gone! gonk

Happy:
-Three new students that I know of (all girls)! Katy, who I already knew from Youth Group; Morgan, who scares me, though she may be a nice girl, I don't know; and Adrianna, who is a foreign exchange student from Mexico, sister to Jesus (hey-SOOS), who was an exchange student about 4 or 5 years ago.

-I have a second job! One was the one with the babies at the hospital, but now I have a job cleaning the church on Saturdays! It's not a big church, trust me, so it won't take that long, but it pays well.

-I have a new pen pal! I can even tell you why I picked her. Her name is the same as mine, AND... she's German! She also has the exact interests as me, which is just wicked aswame.

-I got my permit today! Mom let me drive to practice, but my sister picked me up, so I couldn't drive home.


Just Weird:

-I found out some things about being a member of *Insert last name here* blood. A. You're STUBBORN. Very. B. You have brown hair and brown eyes. C. You cheat. I mean, REALLY cheat. We played croquet at my aunt and uncle's, and it was hilarious. We moved the wickets, laid sticks down to give others a no-fail shot, and picked up the balls to put them where we wanted. I myself picked up my ball and touched my aunt's so that I could put it right in front of the wickets and finish the game. xd

My backyard is a big, steep hill. Be nice to build up my wind and stamina, but... I'll admit, I haven't gone into my backyard except in winter since I was six. I was stung by a hornet or bee or something, and I've refused to walk out there ever since.

Except wasps, I never did get over getting stung by five at once.

And proud of it. wink

It's the only thing I can give into, with my uber-fear of failing. I'm petrified of heights, but I still climb rock walls, go on huge roller coasters, and walk balance beams, just so I can't tell myself I failed. I'm scared of snakes, but I still feed my neighbor's python (not an easy thing to do: that thing's HUGENORMUS!).

It's funny. I broke my arm riding a bike, my leg sledding, my toe in soccer, my ankle and finger at youth group, my nose in softball and again in basketball where I also nearly lost my sight, but... my backyard's grass is the only place I can't bring myself to return to when it isn't covered in snow. -_-

Even funnier: I'm afraid of the dark. rofl *laughs at self*

But our backyard, it is creepy at night. *shudder* And I can't ever get the Grudge or Stay alive out of my head, sometimes.

But I love heights and snakes and I don't mind small spaces and I LOVE long words (*laughs at people with hippopotamonstrosisquippedaliaphobia pirate *) and I'm not too scared of online predators or serial killers either. *shrug*

I'm not really afraid of the dark, more of the noises in the dark. I can get myself hearing voices and footsteps and all kinds of things.

Yeah, I know. And it's worse because I have reaaaally good hearing, so there's never any silence for me--I can hear the floor creaking and the TV going across the house and the water heater and the computer upstairs and there's always some kind of white noise, and I can always hear my heartbeat and it's really frikkin loud at night, and sounds a little like footsteps. O.o

We don't have a second floor, just one. And it's a small house, so noise is coming from everywhere. I've learned to block it out, it's the noises I hear that aren't there that creep me out.

And reese.. I am so sorry for you. My coach has our team conditioning already for soccer.. and of course cross country. (same couch and alot of the soccer players are runners too.) So I am not supposed to be eating chocolate and mcdonalds and fast food.. Yet I have had a milkshake every day.. xd
