More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Annie was touched by Shane's concern for her and her child, and was about to thank him when the car halted. Annie turns at the sudden halt of the car. She swore under her breath, it seemed to be exactly the type of move Trinity might try, she could control shadows, so why not control the shadows of the car. "Shane..." Annie began most likely stating the obvious, "I think Trinity is here."

She swore again under her breath and muttered, "I really wanted to stay below 27 today on the number of people I've killed."

Shane makes the same assessment as Annie, but he isn't as apologetic as she is. Trinity was halting his progress, delaying him from attaining his end goal. He isn't going to allow that to happen.

Shane's face now resembles the dark grimace he had when Annie saw him in the prison for the first time. His eyes are cold and hateful, yet seem set on something.

He kicks the door off of the car and steps out of it. His eyes search for signs of life. He finds two, hiding behind the hotel managers car.

As his right hand shifts into a ball of biomass he shouts, "You should have just stayed away Trinity. Now you and your friend are going to die!"

With grunt he plunges his hand into the ground directly below him. From underneath a rumble can be heard as the dirt starts to bulge in a straight line towards Trinity and Theonis like a gopher is tunneling at them. The bulge ends directly below them where an enormous biomass pike explodes from the ground and branches out like a grotesque cactus.

Gidget isn't sure which one of them the voice is addressing, but she sure isn't about to back down now that things are going well. Defiantly she calls back out to the voice, "I'll be out of here soon, but not without removing Angel. Whoever you are, you've crossed a line by screwing with my friend."

"If it is Angel you want, then Angel you may have." As the voice spoke, suddenly, the human version of Tansy appeared before them. She looked to the two of them, frightened. She turned quickly and began to move towards the cabin's door.

Larry gives an amused grunt as Liz gives an impressed whistle. "That's really something. You three compliment each other very well. It reminds me of..."

She is cut short by a buzz that rings through the building. It sounds like a greatly subdued fire alarm. Liz tenses up and whispers, "Oh no...no no no. They're coming again."

Larry picks up his frightened sister and places her on his shoulders. She looks down at the sisters and quickly says, "That's Celes' remote alarm. That means she's caught wind that Daedalus will be coming to the building for an inspection. Please come with us to the panic room. I'm afraid that your hair may give away that you're metahuman."

Larry leads the sister's to a large hidden door in a wall. A door that looks as though it has gone through a few renovations, most likely to accommodate Larry. The door slides open to reveal a small room with some chairs and bunks. There are already some more obvious metas hiding in there, looks of abject fright in their eyes. Larry looks around and asks, "Everyone?" They nod, giving him the okay to shut the door behind the sisters.

"What do you mean inspection?" Jezebel asked softly.

Lia looked around at the other with a soft smile and waved to them all.

Kali frowned. She really much of a people person. She stood close to her sisters, her face still a blank slate as she glanced around the room every so often.

"If it is Angel you want, then Angel you may have." As the voice spoke, suddenly, the human version of Tansy appeared before them. She looked to the two of them, frightened. She turned quickly and began to move towards the cabin's door.

Gidget is shocked to see another Tansy...again. She huffs and moans, "Man, this mental representation thing is harder than I thought it'd be."

Using her mechanical speed to her advantage, Gidget moves past the human Tansy and slam her hand against the cabin door. Effectively blocking her exit, Gidget looks at the two Tansy's and states, "I need an explanation, and I need it now."

"What do you mean inspection?" Jezebel asked softly.

Lia looked around at the other with a soft smile and waved to them all.

Kali frowned. She really much of a people person. She stood close to her sisters, her face still a blank slate as she glanced around the room every so often.

Liz replies, "Every so often, they come by here to see if there any metahumans that live here. They used to take everyone they could find, but recently they have been more focused on certain types of metas. Metas like my brother and I that underwent drastic physical changer, and metas that have exceptionally strong powers, like you and your sisters."

"So we hide back here, and leave the normal humans out there to make it seem like this is just a halfway home for runaways."

Trinity gritted her teeth she acted fast as she heard something heading in their direction. She held on to Theonis' shoulder and dropped through their shadows. They emerge at a car further back.

Now they know she's here it was pointless to keep hiding. Time to bring it front and center, she dropped through her shadow, alone this time alone. The sun was hitting him from behind his shadow was in front of him. "Not if you are leavIng a trail of death behind." she replied seconds before she does an upper cut to his chin. Followed by around house kick at his head, as she drops another kick at his side then a third at his legs.

Just as Theonis was about to dodge to the left Trinity had already grabbed hold of him and pulled them both through the shadow.For someone who seemed to be a quick thinker his mind sure wasn't going so fast now. Before he knew it Trinity was already charging at Shane.

What the hell are you thinking?! Close-Combat against a guy who absorbs people?! s**t!

He focused his power on the edge of his knife to greatly amplify the pressure when it comes in contact with something. In theory he should be able to cut through pretty much anything. He currently had no idea how to do this without the knife however. Theonis quickly tried cutting through the car's exterior. It worked but he needed to expand it's reach. He needed to do this fast or Trinity might end up dying.

Jeze frowned somewhat. "That makes sense." She sighed softly as she flipped her hair over her shoulder.

Lia blushed brightly. "What is this Daedalus we keep hearing about? That's where Shane and Annie were heading off too. And Gigdet mentioned it too..." Her voice was soft as she asked, knowing that she probably should know the answer to the question she had just asked.

The human Tansy flinched and turned back towards Gigdet. Her eyes wide, as she stared at the woman.

The angelic Tansy spoke from behind. "Don't ask me. The only thing I can guess is that she's trying to become me."

"I am you!" The Tansy by the door cried out. "You wanted to escape. We made that happen. I am the way you should have been."

"Shut up!" Tansy snapped back at her.

"I'm the way you always knew you should have been. Caring for others more then yourself. Angels are beautiful and kind and generous. Look at you. You're nothing more then a selfish brat! I've made you more then you ever dreamed of. And I'm not giving this up! It's my body now! I've earned it! I did everything he wanted and this was my reward!"

Swearing under her breath she got out of the car, she didn't waste long watching the fight unfold between Trinity and Shane, let the two of them sort it out. There was the extra that Annie would deal with.

Annie sighed and said remembering his name from their brief introduction the day before, "Theonis, you really don't want to get involved. Shane and I have nothing to lose: that makes us opponents you and Trinity really don't want to go up against."

She glanced up at the sky, another sunny day, great. "I'm sorry but if you stay involved in this, I'm going to have to kill you," Annie said, biting her bottom lip, and beginning to gather moisture in the air, thanking her lucky stars that at least the day was humid.

Shane retracts the attack and pulls his arm out of the ground just as Trinity launches her uppercut. He leans back and dodges it easily, and blocks the incoming roundhouse kick with his arm. What he wasn't expecting was the following two kicks to his midsection and leg. He takes the hits and stumbles, gritting his teeth and growling at her.

He should have expected this, she was trained by the shadow twins. They were no slouches when it came to hand to hand fighting. Shane glares at Trinity and holds his arms out to the side. Starting from his shoulder his arms begin to shift and change down to his hands. With one flexing of his fingers, talons forged from his bones explodes from his hand where his fingers should be.

He lungs at Trinity, making repeated slashes at her with is hands at speeds comparable to her trainers. However, they are wild and animalistic, a clear sign that he has had no formal training in hand to hand fighting.

Jeze frowned somewhat. "That makes sense." She sighed softly as she flipped her hair over her shoulder.

Lia blushed brightly. "What is this Daedalus we keep hearing about? That's where Shane and Annie were heading off too. And Gigdet mentioned it too..." Her voice was soft as she asked, knowing that she probably should know the answer to the question she had just asked.

Larry's face becomes saddened as he mutters, "Bad."

Liz nods to her brothers and begins her explanation.

"I don't know much about the politics involved, but this is what I've come to understand. Thirteen years ago, when the first meteor shower fell over knoxburg, there was a metahuman born from it who called himself Leviathan. He was very strong, and made himself stronger by eating other metahumans."

"He attacked a hospital, and killed a lot of people. Then he attacked the old Valhalla and almost destroyed it. Shane told us that's when his sisters died and had her soul stolen by a machine."

"But anyway, after that everyone was afraid of us, of what we could do. That led to utter chaos, and mass riots. Then came the Daedalus project, who said that they would police up renegade metahumans and find a solution to the problem. According to Shane, what they really want is to control the metahuman population, and weaponize us. They are ruthless, and kill anyone who tries to interfere with their plans...like our mom and dad."

"So that's why we hide. No one knows what they do after someone gets captured, but we never see them again."

The human Tansy flinched and turned back towards Gigdet. Her eyes wide, as she stared at the woman.

The angelic Tansy spoke from behind. "Don't ask me. The only thing I can guess is that she's trying to become me."

"I am you!" The Tansy by the door cried out. "You wanted to escape. We made that happen. I am the way you should have been."

"Shut up!" Tansy snapped back at her.

Gidget had heard enough. She rushes the human Tansy and grabs her by the shirt, shouting in her face. "How dare you?! You're nothing but a figment of Tansy's imagination, a voice in her head! Unless you mean to tell me that b*****d who put you in here gave you life! What are you, and who is he?!"

Theonis had forgotten about Annie in the commotion. He needed to get his act together. But she already had the advantage so he couldn't do anything flashy. So he just went along with it. He turned his back towards the car and leaned against as he sat down.

"I can gouge out your eyes, choke you, break your bones, crush you, detonate you, slam you to the ground, send you flying.... but that won't work now would it?" He said as he looked her straight in the eye obviously pissed knowing that he couldn't do anything.

"But don't expect me to sit still if he really is slaughtering Trinity. I've already killed people so I won't hesitate either."
