[I'm alive... if only barely! stare ]

Jack was powerless as he was man-, or boy-, handled and tied down. Only when he was immobile did he realize what was happening. Instantly, panic mode kicked in as he squirmed violently to get free. He was happy to not have to fight the thing, but he was fond of hiding, not waiting in the open like a little blond worm.

Where the heck was "possible death at the hands, er, tentacles of mythical beasts" in the contract? But now that he thought about it, Jack couldn't remember signing a contract... Either way, he was sure his role was not "human sacrifice"!

"Somebody untie me! Right! Now!" Jack yelled impudently, resorting to trying to bite through the ropes. Well, at least he was tied to a mast, which would hold out until the beast snapped it off to use as a toothpick!

[I assumed he was tied to a mast, and not just rolling on the floor... lol]

((Yes, a mast is what I was thinking xD))

Not wanting to feel useless, Cole found his way to the mast where the boys were tied.

"Feel lucky you're not wandering about!" he said. "Why would you want to go mucking about over there where's it's dangerous?"

Then again, he did understand bursts of bravado, and how nice it felt to be the hero. He cut Jack free and left Anton, who seemed quiet. He watched the feisty child with more than some admiration, and drew his saber.

"I think it best we kill this beast before it damages my ship any further."

((I dunno :B))

Fire at will. Right. All Allen had to do was... the blonde had to stop and think for a moment. He was a scholar, not a sailor! What did he know about firing cannons?

Alright Allen. Think. This isn't that complicated. Figure it out.

The blonde took a deep breath and putting his weight into it, adjusted the angle of the cannon, so the muzzle was aimed at a more downwards angle. That ought to be better for kraken hunting.

Now to light the fuse and fire the cannon.

Light the fuse with what? It wasn't like he carried flint around in his pockets. "Err..."

Leon ran by, coming to a sharp halt and letting a harpoon fly down at the tentacled mass below. It was a decent strike, hitting the target (not that that was difficult given its size) and sinking in a good foot deep. Still, that would hardly be enough to stop it.

He had to think bigger... his eyes settled on the nearest cannon and the man standing next to it. "Well? Fire!"

Allen held up his empty hands helplessly. The frenchman figured it out quicky enough. "Stand aside." He crouched down and removed the botefeux from its place. It was a stick, about two and a half feet long designed for holding matches. With some flint from a sealed pouch, Leon lit it and brought it down towards the fuse. "Firing!" He yelled out as the cannon let the loaded harpoons fly. Without a moment to spare, Leon quickly began to reload.

Heeding the frenchman's advice, Allen backed away from the cannon. There must be something he could do to help... looking around he spotted what appeared to be some of the younger crew mates tied to the mast. Good Lord! What was going on here?! What sort of ship had he signed himself on to?

His thoughts were derailed when a tentacle brushed past his leg. Good Lord! Allen spun around to see a thick sickly grey tentacle, easily as wide as his thigh, moving across the length of the ship. If enough of those things wrapped themselves around the middle they could crack the whole vessel in half like a loaf of crusty bread. This had to be stopped!

"Yah!" Allen yelled, stabbing it with his rapier. Only to remember that rapiers were best for piercing and a creature of this size wasn't likely to even notice. Right. New tactic. Spotting an axe imbedded in the railing, Allen tore it free and began chopping down like a deranged lumberjack. There was no skill, just a wild desire to survive. The kraken's limb trembled as bits starting flying off and began to pull back...

...while a second one located one of the pests that was causing it pain, wrapping itself around his ankle and lifting up.

Allen let out a cry of surprise as he suddenly found himself hanging in the air staring down at the deck.

(sorry, got carried away sweatdrop )

((Not a problem! I like it when that happens XD))

Cole quickly came by with a thick saber in hand and swiped at the tentacle that held Allen, successfully chopping it off. He yelled in surprise as the navigator landed on him, then again as the rest of the appendage started coming down on top of them.

Before it could touch them, though, Amalia was at their side, harpoon in hand, rather than having fired it. She stabbed the thick flesh and jerked it away from them.

"Vaya!" she shouted, a mad look on her face. Rather than brave her wrath, Cole pulled Allen off, hunkering down a moment to rest.

"Are you all right? If so, I'll need your help. We've got no other option. We need to try and steer the ship away from the beast."

Allen felt a little like a yoyo. Up he went, hoisted into the air by his ankle, only to fall back down again when the tentacle was severed.

It was somewhat disorienting, Allen didn't know which way was which until there was a painful thump and a startled yelp as he landed on top of something. "Sorry." He managed to get out, his manners automatic even if he didn't know what was going on.

Finally his brain managed to catch up and the blonde found himself lying on top of the captain. "Oh."

The Captain shoved him off. Right. Of course. Had to move. There was a kraken.

The second wave of disorientation passed when he realised the Captain was speaking to him. "All right?" He blinked for a moment. "Oh. Right. Yes. All right. Disoriented, but all right." The blonde got to his feet, his mind clearing quickly.

(this RP doesn't get a whole lot of love sweatdrop Am I doing something wrong here?)

((No! I just haven't been able to think of anything for this for a while :B That was why I went ahead and threw the kraken in. I also didn't want this to turn into a 1x1 while people were still alive somewhere. I just messaged Frau on DA to see if she was ever coming back, so we'll see how that goes.))

[Baby, it's not you, it's me!... Lol, poor Anton, tied silently to the mast amidst so much action! Sorry if it's too long (and a wee bit silly). I can't remember exactly what I wrote the first time.]

Jack could barely stutter a "thank you" before he was slipping around the deck, at the mercy of the rolling ship and water-slicked wood.

Trying to avoid the massive, fleshy tentacles pounding and flailing at random, Jack high-tailed it to one end of the ship and gripped fiercely to some wooden structure. His eyes, long-trained for this sort of thing, scanned the ship and analyzed the situation. Hm…flying tentacles…flying harpoons?…Blond man is hacking - yes, hacking - at tentacles… now he’s in the air! Now falling… Jack’s mind perceived as the events unfolded before his eyes.

However, this was cut short when a wild tentacle hit quite close to him, sending him and shards of wood flying. “Oof!” Jack exclaimed as he covered his head with his arms. He knew he had to move, though, and quickly pulled himself up. He scurried up the nearest structure - a mast, it looked like - and secured a rope around his waist for safety measures, hoping it wouldn’t actually have to be put to use. Remembering his dagger, the small boy pulled it out of his boot and gripped it tightly, also hoping he wouldn’t have to use it. However, he had to do something, he just didn’t know how he could help.

Before he could make any more decisions, a tentacle hit near him again, and he lost his balance. Violently propelled forward, he was headed straight for the kraken’s snapping beak!

...wow, I sort of abandoned the internet for like a month D: Uh, if anyone wants to continue this, we can.

Honestly, I sorta gave up on this RP and even this guild several months ago.

If you start it up again, I'm still game, but are you? Cause I kinda got the feeling you gave up on it first.
