Northwind Chasm is home to specters and specters alike, but definitely not the easiest place to find. The Mesian Clan also resides here. Most of its members specialize in controlling the element of water, wind, or earth. At first glance, the chasm is simply that--a chasm. But if you venture further down, a small city can be found within a large cave at the northern edge of the chasm. Although you won't find many spirits or specters here, there are plenty of people willing to mentor on the subject of elements. Every decent elementalist starts here.

Mentors

Mentors are the most experienced of elementalists. In order to achieve the most advanced abilities of your element, training with a mentor is advised. Each mentor can take up to three apprentices if they choose to do so. The list of abilities below are those that you can only learn through an apprenticeship.

Controlling gravity (earth, dark)

Manipulating space (dark, fire) Note: This is the equivalent of temporarily creating another dimension. This tends to take more time to learn.

Manipulating time (light, wind, and water) Note: This doesn't mean going forward or backward in time. This simply means stopping or slowing down time for a limited period. This is another ability that is learned over an extended amount of time.

Creating storms and drastic weather changes over extended amounts of time, as in days (wind, water, light)
