Hello my name is Ema, I am a freelance photographer and student currently getting my BFA in Professional Photography at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, CA. I am majoring in portraiture but am trying to expand my portfolio with lifestyle, wedding, and boudoir photography :]

If you have any technical questions about cameras, lighting, posing, photoshop, or marketing let me know because I am still learning but know a lot!

I've used all the big guns but my personal camera's include a Nikon D90/D80 as well as film a Fujica, Pentax, Canon EOS1, Brownie, and other fun toy cameras (holga, lomo, etc.). I am considering switching my system to a Canon 5D Mark II setup or a Nikon D3s swooooon once I am out of school and start assisting. I have a SB-800 Speedlight but often use Hensel, Calumet, Norman and ProPhoto strobes with a variety of modifiers.

Me & my assistant use Canon gear. I have a Canon 40D, Canon 30D, & Canon Rebel XT that has been converted to infrared. We also have a Sony a200 as a backup just in case and soon we will have another Canon 40D.

Lenses for the canons are: 50mm f/1.4, 70-200mm f/4 L, 10-22mm, 28-105mm, & a lensbaby 3g.



Im my studio we use Alien Bees. For on location lighting we use off camera flashes.

I'm Michael. I love taking photos of anything and everything. I've been considering officially making photography a business, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for the business aspects of it. I've been seriously into photgraphy for almost a year now.

Motocross is my other addiction, if I'm not riding I'm taking pictures of it. I've had a chance to take pictures at Pro Nationals and pro races at local tracks.

I currently am a Sony user, but I'm looking to switch to Nikon. There's nothing wrong with Sony, but their middle of the road camera is lacking in comparison, except the cost.

I'm 21, and I've been dabbling in photography for about six years
I started in high school doing film, learning how to develop the film and print photos. I honestly can't remember what camera I started out with. On my 18th birthday, though, my parents got me a Canon Digital Rebel xti, which I used until it broke a year or two ago at an event I was shooting, (for fun)

I'm getting a EOS Rebel T3 DSLR for my birthday on July 2nd, though. whee

all of my photography is about two years old, but I'll have some new material by august at least. smile
