OMG, that periodic table quilt is made of pure win!
It's hard to tell from the picture, did you use different whites for the background or is it all the same? Is it to hang on the wall or to use? It's hard to tell scale, but it looks like your pieces are fairly small.

each piece is a 4" x 4" square.. and then the 1/4 inch seam allowance all the way around... but 4" x 4" after quilting.
it wound up being twin bed sized.. wish it would've been a bit bigger.. It was a gift for my fave sarah and yep I used different white on white patterned fabric for the white on white blocks.

That periodic table quilt is too cool! I love anything that combines science and the arts - especially when it's art that depicts science. <3
