Kings and Queens of Promise

Stephen gave a short nod, "I'm almost certain that Carol is at HQ." He looked from Aria to Rowan, " Darius, the head hitman of sorts, didn't get the okay from all of the noble families." He paused, letting the air clear before continuing, " Only a few of them actually gave permission. There was a list...i swiped it before leaving this morning." He finished, pulling the slip of paper out of his pocket, unfolding it and holding out for the Rowana nd Aria to see. The list read off as...
Those who may be hunted: Stephen Lares, Gabriel Nolan, Marcelline Nolan, Rowan Pralone, Carmela Weints, Arianna Ashton-White, and Blaine Lazar. The rest must not be killed, but captured and returned home.

"They marked out names as we were taken care of....most of the names onthe list are those of older KQP members. Only one in onder the age of 15, Carmela Weints." Stephen said. Rowan bit her lip, recognizing the name as the name of one of the littlies she'd seen in the dorm, she was only 9 if she recalled it right.

"So you're saying that Gabriel, Marcelline, Carmela, Blaine, and myself are on the list of the soon-to-be dead?" Aria demanded. "And why are you and Rowan marked off? Why do you they think you're dead?" She sighed and rubbed the back of her neck. "And where the hell are Jun and Jess? Jesus, this day started off as hell on earth and doesn't appear to be getting any better, huh, Rowan?"

"They don't think Rowan and I are dead. But before this morning I was considered one of them, thus marking me off of the list. As for Rowan....they still may think she agreed to their terms." Stephen said. He had stood up and begun to pace back and forth in front of the bench.

Aria shook her head. "I don't know...less than two days ago, everything was normal--we hated our parents, we bombed their buildings, we destroyed their information, and they bombed us about once a month...where did we go wrong?" she bemoaned, unaware of the irony of her statement. "I don't know," she lamented.
"Okay, okay, enough pity-poor-us time," she declared to herself, ignoring Stephen and Rowan almost utterly. "It's time to fix things up. Obviously, we need to get our medical supplies checked. We need to do checkups on everyone below the age of ten. Any medics, or anyone who can use a band-aid that isn't injured, should be checking the littlies for any serious damage. We need scouts to go check out the immediate area. We need as many supplies as possible. We're going to be hiding out for a while. Everyone who goes out needs to be armed. Guns, grenades, knives, I don't care, anything they can use. They can take some of Jess's cherry bombs or a butcher knife, as long as they can defend themselves. We'll be laying low for about a week or two, only one or two missions," she said to herself quietly, under her breath, as though someone else was listening. "Cancel that one to blow up the bank...keep that one scheduled where we break those kids out of prison...cancel the post office fire..." she looked up with surprise, as though she'd only just noticed Rowan and Stephen.
"Sorry. So...um...we need to plan for contingencies. Um, fire extinguishers, rations for a month, a nearby water supply, stuff like that." She shrugged. "Any ideas?"

Rowan and Stephen sat with the same slightly bemused expression until Rowan broke the silence. "Theres a decent sized stream just north of here. It shouldn't be much of a hassle to use it as a water sorce." She commended. "And I have the access codes to the armoury at HQ. In case you want us to stockpile weapons for use here." Stephen interjected. Rowan began pacing alongside Stephen, obviously thinking hard about what they could do.
