Hi, this is my first post here, so play nice. My name is Jake, and I love microdermals. I think they are everything a piercing should be, small and discreet, simple and striking, easy to place where they can be hidden or shown off, and they rest flush against your skin.
I love those flat, plain metal tops, I don't know what they are called, but I like them much more than the balls, or mushroom shaped tips. They're neat, sit closer to the skin, and yet are more reflective and look more like part of you.
The best thing about dermals, is that you can put them anywhere, which allows you to place them strategically. I've never been a fan of clutter when it comes to piercings, I like them spread out, discreet and used to accentuate attractive parts of your body.
As such, I'm looking for suggestions to my layout. As of yet, I'm thinking that when I'm done, I'll have: 2 Nape (positioned to imitate a bar piercing) 2 on left clavicle (as above) 2 on right hip/side (as above) 1 ring through Septum (if those can be safely removed and inserted at will - without risk of closing) 1 Upper Navel (might get it done as a dermal too - If I can afford it) Some random - looking ear stuff (nothing scary like industrial bars or anything, just small, randomly scattered across lobes and sides)
Other piercings I'm considering: 1 Teeenieee weeenie nose stud 1 Tongue Piercing 2 Base of Spine (imitating bar piercing blah blah blah) 1 Monroe
My question is, with this second list, I'm worried they will over-clutter and look crowded. Any thoughts or suggestions?

emohawk This is a pretty slow guild. :p that's why answers come so very far apart. I'm a tattoo junkie, and don't know much about piercings. However, with regards to your questions and from an aesthetic view, I don't think most of the second list will make it seem to cluttered. That said, monroe's alongside a septum, tongue and a teenie tinie nose ring might be a little much. I am not partial to monroe's. In my opinion they are really difficult to pull off. The base of the spine sounds like it would look great!
I think you're right. I've been considering scrapping the nose stud, septum and Monroe, in exchange for an eyebrow, and now that I visualize it, I think it's definitely a good idea. It'll go better with my face, given that it's long and narrow, but also has a very strong jaw.
Thanks for your help. :]

I've always wanted to see someone pull off a horizontal eyebrow piercing. I've always wanted an anti-eyebrow piercing. smile those are some options that are in the same area but not a traditional eyebrow piercing, if you're wanting something a bit different.

I don't think an anti would suit me, but I could go for a horizontal, if it was just above the eyebrow, rather than in it. Sort of like one half of two normal eyebrow piercings side by side.
