He has no chance, not even as a vice-presidential nominee. Most of his support doesn't even come from Republicans, but from Independents, and even some Democrats.

Not sure why you're voting for a man who wants to legalize all drugs in America. Between him and Obama, I'd pick Ron, but his ideas are extremely outside the margin of both Democrat and Republican ideals. I don't know where he's going with his policies, but I don't think he's suitable for presidency at all.
Looks like it's going to be Romney any way. Not my first choice at all, but... anyone to beat Obama.

Romney had been my first choice through the whole race. If it came down to either Obama or Paul, I'd actually probably vote for an unknown third-party candidate. I think Buddy Roemer is going to get the Americans Elect nomination. I'd vote for him.

I don't see what's wrong with legalizing drugs-- besides that he really has mostly Libertarian tendencies... which I thought was Republican. I didn't realize they all had to be religious-right.
The problem is, legalizing all drugs would create more problems than it would fix. It would create addictions that SOME people would be able to control, but MOST people would be out of a job, focusing on just getting drugs. You can't have a government who doesn't provide welfare for something they're responsible for making happen in the first place, but I don't want our government providing welfare for ANYONE, best case scenario.
I'm not for government telling people what to do, but I'm against drug legalization for the same reasons I'd take a box of matches away from a small child.

He want's to give the decision to the states, not the federal government. And not ALL drugs either, just weed.
