Just a place for people to comment/look at my poetry. Mainly for me to keep track of it, and so I can find it again. Okay, so first one:

Ghost Town Blues

I stand here all alone,
Dead center of the road.
It has been so long since I was last here,
In my now forgotten town.

There was a time when
Laughter had filled the air,
The wind carried it as it billowed by.
Now the engine of my car,
Loud and roaring with impatience,
Is the only noise that’s left.

Not a single person remains.
Only rodents dwell here now,
Scurrying past, looking for shelter in this unforgiving heat.
Hundreds of them,
Too afraid of being blinded by the sun.

Toys abandoned in front yards.
There are no children left to play.
No parents left to bring them out.
Everyone is gone,
Picking up pieces in some other town.

There is no one left to care,
About this lonely, little town.
Exactly why it has turned ghostly,
So empty and cold,
Is a bitter memory,
That has never been retold.

Thanks you two smile Here is another one I recently wrote, the format is going to be a bit messed up cause Gaia doesnt like abnormal spacing. The Tap Tap Taps are suposed to be in a kind of a triangle ish format, and where the one word is on its own there is supposed to be a bit of a space.

Click

Tap
Tap
Tap
Goes the keyboard
On its own it lies motionless.
Dead
My fingers act as a catalyst
igniting a fury of literary substance.
Tap
Tap
Tap
A glance at the keys show chaos
No visible order in which they are placed.
Spontaneous
But my fingers are in control
Finding every key as if nothing was misplaced.
Tap
Tap
Tap

Where Does The Good Go?

A two dimensional
Look at the world below,
A three dimensional
Look at the world once lost.

Intertwining thoughts
And confusion laden
Quests for self realization.

Selfless acts of
Charity lost to
A narcissism of an
Over deprived egos.

Today is our tomorrow,
Lost and forgotten;
A lifeless cycle of self delusion.
