Has anything weird happened to you when you played fatal frame.

Actually, something very odd happened to my friend and I just tonight!

We were playing Fatal Frame I, and had paused it so we could discuss a cut-scene. (Ha. We're dorks) We started to hear rhythmic tapping from an indiscernible location. It would tap three times exactly and then cease.

A few moments later it returned, only for us to freak out completely and get totally paranoid.

Oh baby, and just now, when I went to wash my face, I heard it on the roof.

You see, my house is very fortunate, in that it has roof under every single window on the 2nd story. Broken neck? Gahh...

I left without even drying my face. D:

Oh, I've had an experience like that. xd

A week ago, I was playing Fatal Frame 3 alone in my den [It was around 2:40am]. 8D I was the only one home, so I saw no point in opening all the lights just so I have to close them again later. So, the only light source there was was the ceiling fan light above me.

I remember clearly I was in the part where Miku crawled under this place [what audacity she has!], and having to fight that crawling woman. D: When all of a sudden, something smacked against the sliding door. Now, the door has frosted glass so I couldn't really see what hit it. And that got me scared. I paused the game, got up from the couch and slowly made my way to the door.

I laugh when I get scared, so I must've looked pretty damn crazy laughing and walking slowly to the door. I opened it, rather slowly [zomg. Mio!Moment. xd ] and found nothing. Absolutely nothing.

I looked around a bit and was so scared of what happened next I started crying/laughing. xd The mirror in our living room fell. There were cracks, but thankfully the thick carpeting under it cushioned its fall.

I've been so scared of mirrors, ever since Fatal Frame I. So I slammed the door closed, killed the PS2 and hid in the den. xd

Zomg. D: Long post.

Wow, alot of creepy stuff happens huh?

I haven't played Fatal Frame 2 in a while, but I remember the last time I was playing it. I was up for over 18 hours on Ginseng tea and sugar when I finally beat the game on the X-box and got the special ending.

I was listening to the end credits when I heard a creak, like a door. Except I was in my room. Home alone. After dark because I was sick. And none of our door creak, especially not like old Japanese sliding doors.

I left my room to see where the noise came from and found my brothers door open. Only it was locked. And you can only lock it from the inside. And when I went into my room after getting dinner an hour and 1/2 earlier, his door was shut.

Of course, I am kinda superstitious, so I ran back to my room, shut and locked the door, turned on something not Fatal Frame to watch, and hid under the covers until my folks got home.

Maybe you were hearing things, seriously, lack of sleep can really mess with your perceptions, as well as being sick. See, I have to tell myself stuff like that because it's preferable to considering what might have caused the noise. *cringes in fear*

While I'm playing any Fatal Frame... people tend to call me at the worst possible time. You know, when it gets tense, and you know something is going to happen and then all of a sudden a LOUD RIIIIIIIIING pierces through the area and you're like "OH S**T" and then you realize, oh, wait, it's not in the game, it's my homephone... sweatdrop

when I'm playing fatal frame the phone will ring every 20 minutes and nobody will be on the other line when I pick up.

Also the first time I was playing Fatal Frame, there was an ice storm outside. I was alone downstairs in my house with the lights out, and I was in the middle of a cutscene when Kirie's many arms are reaching out towards you, you know? Right when the arms shoot out towards the screen, the television screen zapped out with this huge sound and the room was plunged into darkness and I SCREAMED.

We just lost power due to a tree falling across power cords in the area. sweatdrop

It was probably just a glitch, but while I was playing the first Fatal Frame I had paused the game right before entering the shrine where Mr. Takamine died. I was reading my little internet print out guide when it started moving on it's own. Not the controller, but the little line thingy on the pause screen. It took me back to the game, so I paused it again before anything could happen. A few seconds later it happened again! It went to the inventory option and used up one of my herbal medicines and then took me back to the game. D: I got scared, so I paused the game again and unplugged the controller and then plugged it back in again. It finally stopped after that.

I know controllers can spazz sometimes and go up and down like crazy, but I've never had it happen were it would use the x button. It was just really creepy!

Ah, yeah, Fatal Frame I believe brings out the worst in each house x3

I think one of my more "memorable" moments is when I first started playing Fatal Frame, which was four years ago, and I was playing the very first Fatal Frame. I was pretty inexperienced and the whole concept was new to me, so I frequently paused the game to take a breather and calm my nerves.

When I first played through, I was following the walkthrough and right after you fight the long armed ghost your supposed to go through a door into that candle room where you take a picture of the sealed door or w/e. Well, that door that lead into that room wouldn't open for me, so I restarted the whole thing and played back to that part. It opened for me on the second time I play throughed it after restarting the whole game, but as I went back upstairs to go do something (can't remember what xD), I noticed that my filament went red and that I was about to get attacked by a random ghost.

So, like any other inexperienced person would do I think, I ran, since I didn't really want to fight it or whatever, and I didn't really want to take a look at whatever was attacking me either. I managed to get to the saveroom upstairs, noticing that the ghost STILL must be chasing me from the hallway downstairs since the savepoint was dim, when suddenly it brightened up and a voice said "I'll be back for you", except it was a female voice, and not Tomoe's. My friend was there too, and she heard it =x

So since then, I don't play Fatal Frame by myself. I seriously get weird stuff happen to me like that every once in a while, but my house is pretty weird itself. Like, on my closet door there's a face on it, not put on it but part of the door itself, and it changes over the years too. I even have pictures as proof, which I'll be glad to send the link out to whoever is curious and wants to see xD

Though, I must say, Fatal Frame is still one of my favorite games! ^_^

I'm generally a paranoid person, but when I'm playing I tend to get these feelings like someone is behind me or I see movement in my peripheral vision. Sometimes I think I see movement even when I'm playing, so this probably isn't saying much, but that awkward feeling of someone's presence just because very... uh, what's the word... abundant while playing?

I don't feel alone at certain points while playing. I suppose that's a better way of putting it.
